Yeah; I think they're waiting for more of the "real launch" people to get in, then they'll start raising it.

Quick funny story: months-and-months ago, we're all doing our nightly MP games, and I figure, hey, I'll give the G3 a try. And I start OWNING with it, which is kind of odd, because I'm definitely not one of our top guys, but whatever, not complaining. So we go and check the damage profiles for the G3, and... spot a typo. Upper-body shots with the G3 were doing, like, twice the damage of a headshot that day.

I still miss that version of the weapon. "Shin G3", I will never forget you. =\

Vagrant might of came pretty close to a 30-5 ratio. I know one game he had 34 kills but I'm not sure what the deaths were.

Vagrant is great if you get in a knifey rhythm. I got that 30 on the map with the crashed helecoptor, so easy when you are playing against new players. :lol

I like the longetivity of the game, so much stuff to unlock. That reminds me of Rainbow Six, except in a less hardcore, more fun sort of way.

Play against Alinorth vBi. 50-7 ratio and 31 kill streak.

edit: Not me obviously, Ali's a teammate.
 
I played some last night and today and I'm all around disappointed with it. It's just to fast to be using military weapons and the maps are horribly tiny. Of course this is just my thoughts on Team Death-match, I haven't gotten around to playing anything else.

Last Stand and Kill Cam are pretty retarded to me. Last Stand is such a pain in the ass to deal with, and what's the point in making sweet camo for snipers if they're spots are given up after their first kill. (I'm not even a sniper and I still find it retarded)

I dunno, it just feels fast like Halo, but you die like in RB6. Oh and the walling is pretty un-balanced if you ask me. I mean you can't even take cover anymore because every wall is made out of sheet rock and bullets just rip through it. I got walled through 2 walls just a few mins ago.

Those are my complaints. I'm extremely picky, moody, and still haven't found a FPS that competes to Counter-Strike (Yea, I'm one of those CS'ers. ;p), so I'm sure others will find it fun and love it, but my depression continues.

It has several good things about it, and I'm sure IW will tweak and make it better before release. I'm still going to be getting it. At least I don't complete suck at this one like I do Gears of War, lol. :D

No, I still long for the days of 1.5.

I pretty much quit playing when 1.6 took over. I don't think it played as smooth and 1.5. The AK just felt so good in 1.5 compared to the 1.6 AK.


P.S. FatalT says I'm just tired of video games. He could be right, it's been a long time since I've really liked a game. Probaly 2 years ago when I first started playing WoW. Last Xbox Live game I really liked was Project Gotham Racing 2.

I agree Last Stand is stupid but the Kill Cam is fine IMO. Without the Kill Cam the snipers would get a few more kills from the same location but with it they're forced to be constantly on the move. I see it as more of a good risk/reward factor compared to the relative invulnerability there'd be without the cam (moving position is risky but is balanced by the reward of a sneaky kill and also the surprise of being in a different location). I think a good sniper should always be on the move anyway.

This is also true. I tend to hang back a lot more than I would only because I know if I can keep three or four objects between me and the other guy I'm likely to stay alive a lot easier than taking cover behind one or two walls.

Even though i like the game i can feel ya,

Last Stand is three times as annoying hours and hours later as it was at first. I mean now i notice theres a "dead zone". A second or two between when they die and go into last stand mode where they are invulnerable causing you to either waste bullets or risk dying in a old west style shoot out trying to time when the period ends. Not to mention how many times you get the kill stolen from passerbys.

I like kill cam as it reduces camping, but it does royally suck when you want to snipe. Now i gotta go around "combat sniping" which isn't NEARLY as productive as moving around and sniping in counter-strike (thanks to weapon ballistics). Sniper rifles (at least in beta) appear generally useless. and I say this EVEN when i can snag a 15 and 5 round with one in Crash. I still have to be flat out amazing to do rounds that are average by assault rifle standards.

I do believe it has a halo type feel with the high speed, accurate weaponry, and appallingly quick respawns (dying two times in the same airstrike is just a LITTLE rediculous). However w/out going into some detailed review here, there are small details in things like matchups, respawn systems, weight, and non-fire related benefits to certain weapons that make up for the halo-ness to me.

I also think wall penetration is out of hand. Some walls need to be more solid, some weapons have to have more limitations even with deep impact, and if someone doesn't have deep impact they shouldn't be able to shoot through anything other than the thinnest of thin materials (sometimes w/out impact i can still get thru some walls in maps like Vacant and overgrown).

Kill cam keeps campers on the move. I also wanna see how glitchers & cheaters are killing me. Add the ability to record killcams or rounds and this game will be glitch/cheat/camper free.

Agree with kill cam, its one thing to be tactical and camp here and there for short amounts of time, but its another thing to just sit there for minutes, all and all, im more than willing to sacrifice my position a little to prevent campers.
 
I had some guy hiding in the mini-skip outside of the warehouse on Vacant and without the Kill Cam he would've gone on killing everyone who walked by until his muzzle flash was noticed. Now I'm talking laying in the rubbish, halfway inside a black rubbish bag, so you couldn't even see him. He only got one cheap kill from that because of the Kill Cam. If that's a legitimate hiding place put in there by IW then it's a stupid one.
 
There is hardcore mode: damage received and inflicted increases, the heads-up display (HUD) is removed – the mini-map, ammo counter, and other on-screen indicators – and friendly fire is enabled.

Not sure if that also removes the kill-cam.

Pretty sure it takes away kill cam too. I can find myself playing that mode A LOT.
 
Plus I think it practically eliminates teabagging. I'm not sure if there's enough shown after the kill to register a teabag but the prolonged sessions of gathering teammates to drop their sacks in your face are a thing of the past.

The martyrdom perk helps with that, too. :D

You know what I dislike?

Picking up weapons with wacky skins on 'em. It kills the immersion a bit that I'm in a war. :-(

lol nobody has time to teabag in CoD4! if you stay in the same place for more than 4 seconds you get shot in the back.

Not really, but if I do, I don't want to move after every kill.
 
You don't have to move very much at all. If someone is sniped they usually go looking for that same spot they were sniped from so you just move off to the side somewhere anticipating their approach. 5 or 10 metres either way would be enough with the camo in CoD4 to keep them guessing I reckon.
 
Man this kind of sucks. Why would they send these beta codes out at the wee hours of the night? They should send out 10,000 per day in the morning so people can actually play the game the same day.
