COD 4 Beta Thread

I keep playing with Scandinavians who only talk to me when I am setting up the bomb :(

Same problem here.
I have an US gold account but the code for the beta doesn't work and on my euro account with gold trial the code works but I can't dl the beta.

I hate this online system where even if you paid 50$ you can't have a full service.

I played Shadowrun a great deal, only the demo unfortunatly, and I was very happy with how that played. The client side hit detection seemed to keep everything more or less legit. Just had to remember to teleport away a little earlier than you might otherwise think you have to.
 
What the fuck. My activation key won't work!! I typed it in 4 separate times and nothing, rechecked a hundred too! Anyone have this problem??

yeh exactly. few days ago everything was fine. past few days all shitty hosts and almost everyone in yellow bar.

I find the lag does creep in if you don't have a decent enough host... luckily I find the kill cam really helps to legitimise my claims of "WTF I SHOT THE SHIT OUT OF HIM, FUCKING LAG!!!" whenever I die.

Still, runs very smoothly with 14 or so players with a good host.
 
I get errors everytime I try and enter a clan name, no matter what it is.

I tried doing GAF, gaf, and then countless others for several days now.

it gives me a "prohibited text error" no matter what I type.

I must have had good hosts every time. I'm guessing they auto select who will be the host just like Halo 2 did.
 
Hey Im new to all this online gaming, Can anybody share a key with me so I can check out the beta.

Anybody with an extra key (or cant get it to work) please PM me. This game just sounds to good and I would really like to play.

Same here. The only time I experienced significant lag, was when MmaRsu was (apparently) the host, which shouldn't happen since he lives in a country directly next to mine.

Thats weird, I recently added GAF as my clan name, works fine.

Having a lot of fun in the beta, ak47 + silencer ftw! ^^

I must say that when i first heard about perks in MP i didn't like the sound of it, but they do seem to work really well and they don't seem out of place, at least imo.

M4 + ACOG Scope (correct?) + Stopping Power & Deep Impact Perk = Golden

This sucks, still having Live/Connection problems. Hopefully tomorrow that will change.
 
So I'm at 2700 kills and 1350 deaths with a 2.0 kill ratio in about 20 hours played.

However, I've become completely bored with the demo. Reasons? The maps. I cannot play those maps (as good as they are) any longer.
 
Yeah I'm ready for the full release with different maps.
My K/D is at 1.44 Something like 1,250 kills/825 deaths.
I think I'm much better than that as I wasn't at home unil I found the M4. <3
15 kill streak is my best.

Thank you for being able to notice we're Scandinavian =), most often I'll hear from the people we're playing with/against "Oh my god it's fucking Frenchies".

I was planning on making that class. The silencer is priceless too. You can stay save at one place much longer.
 
Has anyone else had a decent connection for most of the game but then terribad lag when the air support comes in? You'll be playing with an okay connection and then as soon as someone calls in air support it goes to shit with everyone but the host hitting red bars and your character running forwards, then back, then left, then forwards, then firing a couple of rounds, then back again, then to the right to switch things up. I ended up leaving after the host figured out what was happening and killed himself after calling in the chopper so he could get another 5 or 7 kills while everyone else was lagging to shit. Rinse repeat.
 
I am a god in this game lol. I was stuck in #1 on the last 4 games I played. There was an idiot making fun of French people, which got annoying, but w/e. Those jackasses can ruin a good game.

And goddamn the fucking campers that sit in a corner with a silencer, its hard to pick em up... god dammit.
 
Holy shit is this fun! :D

And yeah, it's incredibly beautiful and smooth. Just started playing, my rank is 5 (Lance Corporal I) and I'm actually quite good at it, I'm always in the top 10... which is weird because I suck at FPS games. Or I think that I suck... either way, I'm enjoying it.
 
Anyone complaining about campers sucks. I've clocked in a day's worth of hours into this game, and campers have never once crossed my mind as a problem. Stop playing the game like it's Halo 2 or Quake III. Use your grenades and power-ups!

SUPER SAIYAN!!! (j/k lol).

That's why you see me throwing at rooms the stun grenades, they are awesome and have saved my ass a LOT of times. (I have the special pack of 3). People should use those more.... oh and the Grenade Launcher is getting on my nerves lately.
 
Bored? Take the shotgun to Overgrown and see if you can be the top of your team

Sounds hard, right? Wrong - the shotgun is a BEAST and will rip anyone apart in a single well placed shot. You'll need to run zig-zags down the cornfeild to avoid snipers in the barn, or go through the buildings, drop out the attic and slide past the big canister.

I'm a bit addicted to the Shotgun...

I hated people with the shotgun in CoD2.... and guess what, some things don't change.
