I'm only 4 hours or so in mp but I'm already thinking I may have to take a break until things get patched. Spawning is just annoying and how anyone can have a good game on Nuketown amazes me.

On a side note, I played both COD4 and MW4 last night. Both great games with their own pros and cons. Strangely enough, my stats in COD4 reset a little bit. I was on third of fourth prestige when I quit playing two years ago, but now I'm only first prestige. Weird. And for some reason, the game wouldn't recognize that I was playing with the Tactical setup. Knifing was still located on the R3 even when I changed the controls.
Speaking of which. I wish they got rid of knifing entirely, or when you're completely out of ammo. Would make close-quarters-combat pretty intense with both players shooting from the hit and not hitting the instant-win button.
EDIT: I'm so glad I skipped out on Black Ops. Once I realized that it wasn't a sequel to COD4 or MW2, but instead WaW, I felt as though my decision was validated. Can't believe Treyarch made so many mistakes after learning from MW2's problems.

Personally I wish they would take Melee back to the COD1/UO/2 days. Where it was dependent on the weapon you were holding. Pistols took 2 melee hits to kill and some of the SMGs took 2 as well (most everything else was OHK). BUT, the melee action didn't have anywhere close to the range that the knife does in MW1/W@W/MW2/BO. It was about half of the current system and it really made the melee fights intense instead of the current lunge style of the franchise reboot.
On a side note, I find it funny how most people are glad that Commando is gone, but it seems that Treyarch has just given everyone the Commando lunge while sprinting. It's not really gone from the game, it's just that everyone has it innately. While some might be fine with that since it makes an even playing field, it lessens the reliance on straight gun kills (which is what ANY shooter-FPS should be about IMO) and gives a BIG advantage to melee kills in the shorter range encounters.
BTW, IMO, W@W was the best COD since the franchise reboot. Larger maps, unscoped bolt action rifles, and more balanced killstreaks than MW1. Lean alone makes it leagues ahead of MW2.
Also, while I can see the outrage in that pic, I can also see it's a blatant troll attempt. Or maybe I just don't believe that a true anti-semitic could be clever enough to come up with that on their own. It's meant to troll you and it seems many people are taking it hook line and sinker.

The MP is right next to CoD4 for me with all the changes they made. They brought klllstreaks down to just an aid not the end all be all. So much more fun to be worrying about the other team then insta death from above for one of 109810238 different reasons.
It does have its own problems but to me they are the things that are easier to be patched without changing the whole game.

Really liking this game so far. Campaign is amazing. MP seems to be just about how I thought it would. Having a really hard time sniping so far though.

To be completely honest all the guys I know/play with on Live are into doing crap like this. They usually use clan tags like [RAPE] and have used names like NuketheGooks, JewHunter, and such.. Maybe its just cool to young guys to be offensive. On a side note tho all my Friends/guys I play with on PSN seem to use asian type names like Tetsuo, Jinosake, and Anita...
So I have my pick of 20-25 year olds who get there kicks from being racist Dbags or 30-40 year olds who watch to much anime.

I'm done with multiplayer for now too. Far too many people who don't talk and just sit around looking to get kills so they can use their little RC car, and the spawning system makes me physically sick it's that bad. There is no flow to the game right now, you can't push a team back since it just randomly spawns them anywhere.

Put in about 25 hours into MP so far. Like it a lot. Game is definitely more balanced. Have to say that I am already getting tired of about half the maps though. Hope DLC is on the way soon.
The same thing happened to me the other day. I didn't have any smoke and ended up spending countless hours trying and not getting a checkpoint. Finally beat it by rushing the first two guys and then clearing the first room mainly with grenades. Then the second hallway I rushed in because I think enemies just keep respawning. I just got some hate mail for "spamming" the knife :lol I'm ever so sorry that you kept returning to the same sniping spot, dude, and didn't have the foresight to set up a camera or even just periodically check your surroundings, allowing me to knife you in the back 5 or 6 times.
