They were coworkers - they worked for the same company. What about 'rivals' within IW? Do you think it would be ok for the guy coding the AI for the rifle troops to refuse to share his code with the guy coding the AI for the submachine gun troops?

Which version are you playing? I would say check the manual for mode descriptions...but CoD manuals are kinda bare these days.

dunno if I am going to stick with this outside playing with a few people on my friends list, tried a few team deathmatches and I just get anhilated and no idea why, then some fucker shoots me from a helicopter :lol At least I managed a few kills which was more than I could say for search and destroy where I seemed to specialise at leaping to my death from the mountainside.

everyone else seems to have a gun and sights from the future while I have some rusty pieces of crap that gets me killed, damnit good job I never joined the military.

There are no maps I hate. Some maps have hotspots that are too focused. Summit for example, has the narrow L shaped corridor that hogs the heat maps every match. Villa as well. The one corner house overlooking the courtyard sees way to much action. So much so, that I doubt it was intentional.

I'm level 22 on my first prestige and can't get enough of this game.

Yeah its a glitch. My buddy had the same issue last night.

Yup you leave a bomb care package behind that looks just like a regular care package to the enemy team. I recorded that section of the match and its hilarious how they swarmed to it with 3 of em giving cover to the guy trying to get the care package and they all blew up :lol

I absolutely hate Firing Range. It's the only map I don't like in Black Ops. Most of that stems from the fact that the framerate on it is abysmal on PS3. Even when nothing is happening it's a slideshow. Jungle is similar.

Had this happen with the RC. It got blown up as soon as I used it, but when I got back up I still had the killstreak.

No way to deal with it, just a perspective thing. Just shoot him in the head.

The default (V) is pretty terrible. My friends and I put it on middle mouse buttonb but even then it doesn't feel natural like it does with a gamepad (right stick button). I think maybe E would be good too.

God forbid Treyarch pull their own weight instead of relying on the A-team for assets and engine modifications.

I wonder how much more stagnant Black Ops would be if IW didn't make a MW2 at all. Clearly they just copy what works from IW games, and if they didn't have anything to copy I think they'd honestly be at a loss for new ideas.

Well, considering they're both working a the same franchise, one that IW made. You'd think the company would at least like the players to not lose faith in franchise with poor installments, even if they're made by someone else.

Everything I've experienced from Treyarch, as a customer and fan of the series, has been positive. They put more effort into doing something right than doing something. Unfortunately, IW wanted us to Fight Against Grenade Spam with One Man Army and Scavenger.

I'm the opposite really. I think it has added a far more interesting sense of progression than MW2 and the like.

It's exciting to see what you unlock via exp, but even more interesting to know that I need $5000 to get a motion sensor that will help me unlock Hacker Pro (for another $2000) plus all the guns/attachments/customisation. To top it all off, you have wager matches and contracts to bet your money against.

Run up to the building with Reznov and stay behind him until he says something, and then sneak up behind the guard. I ran up to him and I still didn't get detected, but since you're having problems, I would crouch.

I just assassinated him quickly. I found if you try to hide you get spotted straight away.

Just got my first chopper gunner...holy FUCK does it rape! I was using the Ak74 and was doing ok, got pissed, then used the FAMAS got a 8 killstreak, whooped out the Chopper gunner, and raped the entire team literally three times over. Delicious. :lol

Just follow Reznov, dont try and run ahead. If you wait long enough he will actually move. The first time I did that mission I literally ran out and got spotted, I reloaded and waited to follow Reznov, he did the EXACT same thing I did maybe a second after I did and was fine, game seems like scripted bs at that point. :lol

Also AK47 is IMMENSE I love that gun, I was planning to use the Commando, but now im not so sure.

Try out the Commando with reflex sight. It's an absolute monster.

So a friend of mine got the game today (Xbox 360) and can't connect to a game at all. It's not a NAT issue, and he can connect fine in other games like Reach. But in Black Ops it just searches for matches and never finds him a single one.

Obviously, you shouldn't use Hacker for the Pro part, it's just an awesome side effect. Hacker is imo the most useful green perk, you'll never run into claymores again and all that equipment usually gives away enemy positions.
Also, Hardline lets you change enemy care packages. It's even more awesome changing an abandoned ammo package into something like attack dogs, taking it, and leaving a bomb

Ghost Pro removes that red box around you I think, so you can take down that chopper without the dude mowing you down.

No it still rapes you. I have the 2 shot rocket launcher and a stealth setup and Nuketown headquarters with one of those fuckers up is not a pretty sight. you can die maybe 8 times+ before it buggers off.

Oh yeah I forgot I got the perfect round of sniper on Jungle the other day.

Shot 5 guys in a row with 5 bullets and was dancing round the room :lol Headquarters so everyone was dead and saw me do it, even got one guy mid air shouting "comm onnnn dowwwnnn" as they funneled through one of the alleys near the huts/blown p cannon things!
Only time ive killed more than one person with the bastard things!

Sooooo good. Also the Commando and the G11 are my new favorite ARs, along with the old stalwart AK47. I think the bolt-action sniper (L96?) is better than the PSG, just feels like it kills more people.
