Todd Graham. Man. This is still cracking me up.

So that's two home-run hires for the Pac, and two WTFs. Too bad for Cal the two WTFs happened in the South. On the other hand, we do play UCLA every year...

By the way, fun fact: the last Pitt coach hired by a Pac-10 team went 6-17 and was fired after two years. And unlike this guy, he was over .500 at Pitt. :jnc

Todd Grahm is a pretty damn good hire, dude knows how to find and hire coaching talent which is the most important thing a college head coach has to do.

Lost our secondary coach, Demetrice Martin, to UCLA. Good recruiter but our secondary sucks so meh.

Young guys in the secondary outperformed the older guys(they just need to get older themselves), I hate to see him go but as long as we spend the money to get someone as good or better then it shouldn't matter.

Wouldn't mind trying to get a guy that might have recruiting ties somewhere outside the west coast and could get 1 or 2 guys a year we normally wouldn't have gotten.

As a Pitt fan...this is pretty embarassing. I wish they would think outside the box. Maybe someone like Brian Schottenheimer from the Jets.

Jets fans hate that guy with a passion, why would anyone else want him?

Also I don't get Graham moving to ASU, how is ASU in any way a better job? Better recruiting base ok, but the level of competition is a lot higher and the prestige is about the same or lower.

Seems like he mostly got his wins when he had Malzahn. If he can find another Malzahn, that'd be a great hire, but I'm not sure it's that easy.

Devin Street, WR at Pitt, is dropping some fucking bombs on Todd Graham on twitter right now: http://twitter.com/D_Street_15

Yall football bout to suck ! RT @ChelseaNicole49 @D_Street_15 ASU>Pitt ...... Haters need lovin too

I feel like dirt and I was just abused. For a year

He's the one who made us look average I ran 3 different routes !

Just to let yall know he just told us he's here to stay when Coach McGee left .. Said him and his coaches have 5 year contracts

Hmm Penni (The Liars Wife) twitter magically disappeared

I'm literally sick.. That man pulled me in his office one on one and lied to me

He always said most people quit before they achieve something great .... #fraud

Hotter coeds.

He turned around Rice from 1 win team into 7 wins had 10 wins his last season at Tulsa. Guy knows how to coach and knows how to get out of the way of the talented people he hires.

I think we are as dumb as we have ever been, twitter and text messaging just give a platform the dumb have never had before.

Maybe not more dumberer, but certainly lazier. I've read e-mails written by top executives of Fortune 500 companies that could have been written by a 14 year old girl.

Better then the Japanese, you won't even get emails from them if they're over 40. Have to send them fucking faxes. Same with India.

Guess we'll see. I tend to agree with Doc Saturday's take:

In a little more than two weeks, Arizona State has a) Blown its shot at its first choice to replace Dennis Erickson, b) Awkwardly pulled the plug on another candidate at the last second and c) Settled for an opportunistic journeyman who just turned a mediocre 7-5 team into a mediocre 6-6 team in his only season at his most high profile job to date.

I am a big fan of the bank executive in charge of lots of money writing emails in hot pink and using☺instead of :).

Truly these are the best of America. All hail the ruling class, now and forever.

There needs to be a NCAA provision that when a coach leaves for another school that he must face his old school the next year in a grudge match.

Bertram touched on the Brionte Dunn re-commitment to Ohio St last page, but I wanted to add this, where Dunn said that Urban Meyer informed him that no further sanctions were coming to Ohio State.

Answers to NCAA sanctions played a big part in both players committing to Meyer.

“He told me I didn’t have to worry about sanctions,” Dunn said. “Nothing worse is going to happen.”

Obviously Meyer is trying to get these kids to commit, but I really don't think that he would make such bold promises if there was something else coming down the pike. It would really destroy his credibility and harm future recruiting efforts if major sanctions came down. So I take this quote as pretty good news.

everyone is pointing and laughing at Pitt, after firing Stash, and then hiring that guy nobody remembers who resigned 4 days later, to now Graham leaving after 1 season for a lesser job. Stack that with Syracuse being the worst team in the current BE in football and their basketball program surrounded in scandal and I think the ACC got a great deal

Oh yeah, I forgot Pitt was switching conferences. In that case, this really is a more or less lateral coaching move. Don't get it at all on either side.

Hear DickRod wants to play Michigan ASAP?

As a Michigan fan I think it would be rad to land a home & home with Zona right now. RR still has some cache and it would be an instant mini-rivalry if they played each other in three of the next six years or something. Kinda like what Michigan had going with U-Dub there for a while, but with the RichRod factor thrown in. Would be a win/win for both programs, I reckon. Would get good national interest as an early-season game, too.

Meyer is someone who swore up and down that he would not leave Florida after his initial "retirement," but did anyway. I don't think he is too worried about his credibility on the recruiting trail.

Here is the Arizona State's AD on who they were looking for:

Arizona State AD: "What we sought in a football coach was someone who would be in it for the long term at Arizona State"

http://twitter.com/#!/McMurphyCBS/status/147048471067754496

The Pitt Vice Chancellor has a different Opinion:

Pitt vice chancellor: "Beyond normal expectations w/respect to professional conduct (Graham) has failed to comply w/terms of his contract"

Didn't Lane Kiffin tell kids that USC was probably not gonna be sanctioned? Urban Meyer can't possibly know what the NCAA is going to do. The NCAA probably doesn't even know yet.
