WasabiKing is from the Bay Area and went school in San Francisco. I have no idea why you have him as a Tarheels fan as I think he vaguely roots for Cal.

woke up figuring that the ND game would be over, surprised it's not.

I absolutely don't care about ND/Navy, but I do hope the crowd had a good time. Anything to promote the Game of Football to the lands of Soccer.

I didn't realize Notre Dame played this morning. NBC told me broadcasting live from that part of the world was impossible, so I expected to watch it tonight in primetime.

Sure looks like the fans were really enjoying it, lots of jokes about Guinness consumption. And love the fan who waltzed on the field, did an Irish jig, and walked to the security waiting for him.

I'm fairly certain they wouldn't have broadcast this game during M-F and unlike NBC they have legit week 1 CFB competition later in the day. It's totally different scenario's.

Golden Domers are chickenshit!!

Also, they would lose much of their audience who only tunes in to see ND lose if they aired it on a delay.

"hey guys, it's fourth and two, so let's play one of our CBs ten yards off the WR"

Ohio against Penn State.

Can someone explain the point of WatchESPN?. Almost everything is blacked out, and the one that isn't (UGA vs. Buf) is showing in SD but cutting off the graphics placed for HD.

Hoping it will have better selection when conference play starts.

it's like ESPN's tier 4 rights. it is decent for some other sports with way more games

Eh, not like there are any huge games on right now. Plus, it seems the local blackout restrictions get a little fuzzy when using the picture-in-picture feature.

Mostly for out of market games and shit teams that wouldn't be on TV in the first place.

WatchESPN has only every really been useful to me when I'm at my desk working, and there's a game on. The mobile quality is less than optimal.

I'm still trying to figure out a way to watch the P12 Network, since I'm on DirecTV.

um, touchdown Buffalo

Bad defense UGA, who is that CB? The QB is eyeing him all the way as he fades to the other side of the field, and he's 5 yards off the WR.

Isn't it only blacked out for ESPN3?

There were interesting reactions over in the GAF Soccer thread.

Dude who fell from the ga dome upper level died. :/

ATLANTA -- A 20-year-old man from Tennessee who plunged about 35 feet from the upper level of the Georgia Dome and struck another fan during the Tennessee-North Carolina State game has died, authorities said Saturday.

The man fell on another fan seated in the mezzanine area during the game Friday evening, The Georgia World Congress Center Authority, which operates the downtown football stadium, said in a statement.

Investigator Leon Harrison at the Fulton County Medical Examiner's Office told The Associated Press early Saturday that Isaac Grubb of Lenoir City, Tenn., was pronounced dead Friday night, minutes before midnight, at an Atlanta hospital.

He said the man had fallen about 35 feet and appeared to have suffered injuries from blunt force trauma.
