Starfield Shattered Space |OT| Is that the Great Serpent or are you just happy to see me?

I hope they also patched the base game. I can't finish the Ryujin because the final part of the quest line is bugged.

Don't count on it. ECS Constant is still bugged for me, been like it since launch. Even the new trackers alliance quests, which they just released, is bugged for me too.

I know you can use community patches to fix a lot of the bugs in the Creations area. But I was hoping to finish my first run without mods.

Same here. I forgot everything, so gonna start again and jump into this like a maniac, slash-moron.
I started to replay using the newGame+ mode, so I didn't lose my level progress. You lose everything else, but it does keep level progress and gives you additional dialog choices that can make somethings move along more quickly.

Missed the old girl.....

I can't do the mission where you have to clear the ice from the wind farm. I read that it is supposed to be fixed when the next patch drops on console. Hopefully they fix the bug affecting you too.

The Oracle is giving me Prey 2017 vibes. Really well done so far. This game really benefits from having a focused gameplay and more linear approach

Played up through getting the first achievement and then a little past that, but now I have to go back to work.

To me this is REALLY well done, as Gonzito Gonzito mentioned above, it gives off Prey vibes. New areas and one city so far look swank. Voice acting on point. Huzzah!

Sounds incredible, will check it out later in the evening.

I'll use my save from before the postgame for .. reasons.

Oh so this is the expansion we paid for with the deluxe edition? Hell yeah.

I really enjoyed Starfield. Played over 50hrs at launch and then just kind of fell off, partially due to the early performance issues it was having. Plays much better now and has official DLSS/FG. Gonna jump in later tonight and check out the expansion.

So help me out here, is it me or this game (PC) has completely broken HDR? I tried playing with brightness contrast and hdr slider but dark didn't seem to be dark at all where it should be...

That pricing, damn. I usually expect to get at least two expansions for that much money.
Depends on how meaty it is. In the days of $20 COD skins though it doesn't seem like that much.

I already have it but if I was spending $30 id be expecting a fairly decent sized quest, New location and some side stuff I guess. We'll see I suppose.

Tried to play this today night.

After 50 hours on SF I'm still not at the recommended level.

I thought I'll play the main game then but forgot how clunky, and dated the controls and unintuitive the UI is.

Spent 30 mins fighting with the controls and got to a conversation with a few NPC's. Ridiculous conversations with characters half facing backwards whilst another repeatedly rams into them and another for some reason crouched really low whilst talking and I just thought.... Jesus, this is worse that a 360 game.

Switched it off. Just awful for the current day and age.

It really does feel like you are playing a game from the 360 era. So ancient in design

Did you get Shattered Space early?

Yeah, I noticed the planet skin issue yesterday. lol

Not early, just jumping in for the first time since the holy Topher has made a great OT. Hoping to get some more time tonight, that's the bug but lol.

Did you install any mods from Creation Club? I had the issue once I installed the unofficial Starfield patch (ironic) and had to reinstall to fix it.

No nothing at all, seems like a few posters had the same issue I did day of but so if that's the only jank so far it's not much.

Well, I have waited this long. I can wait a little longer for some patches. Would be good to know if there are any PC mods worth getting. I may as well start from scratch to play this damn game again. I heard they added vehicles now, that should be good. I really hated inventory management, I hope they fixed that or a mod fixed it.

It's why I don't like Bethesda much, still archaic at its core

Digging it so far. Pretty spooky in the first area. Going to be vague and not spoil things though.

So far this is pretty good. It's more in line with what Starfield should've been from the beginning.

Several planets like the one in the DLC in the main game would've been great. They could've kept the others for resource farming, outpost building, and radiant quests.

I've got a one month hospital stay so I'll finish the main game and try this out.
The game still hasn't really grabbed me though and I'm almost near the end I think.. just bumbling through it.

So in the mission where you have to assist ramza ka'dic
can I just bullrush the zealots base or is there a stealth way/secret entrance to get to the hostages?

This. It is absolutely astonishing that those quirks haven't been patched out. Basic fucking eye contact shouldn't be a problem.

I'm about to find out myself. I hope it is just a straight up fight. I haven't put any points in stealth.

Been playing Cyberpunk and loving the shit out of it.

I re-downloaded SF and the DLC but I'm reluctant to try it out. I'm far from level 35.
I played like 2 hours so far probably.

Doesn't seem like there is. Tons of zealots in between you and the hostages. Not seeing a back way in or anything like that.

About the recommended level 35. I have multiple playthroughs in saves. Went in with a level 28 wakizashi guy, been playing for a bit. Those of you who have progressed further, should I choose a higher level rifle guy instead? They said in a trailer that they're closing the distance in fights but by how much? Are you meeting multiple enemies at once that charge you for a close combat fight?

First combat mission I had there were a three or four badass melee fighters. Took a lot for me to bring them down. They move pretty damn fast too. Head shots are your friend.

Awesome! I will test my space samurai before changing anything. Worthless for terrormorphs but normal enemies I can usually slice my way through fast.

I'd assumed it would be better to take Andreja on this one, but from what I've played - the Oracle, down to the home planet, a main quest, a side quest - I can't see that it mattered much. She's returned to her home world, shouldn't it mean more than it seems to? Maybe it'll get better, but for now it seems such a very obvious missed opportunity.

Sounds promising. What's 60fps performance like gents? Every city in the base game runs like shit in 60fps mode. Is this any different?

On Xbox?

Cities are a bit behind on a locked 60, but the 40hz mode works like a charm if you notice the difference in 60.

I, personally, just leave it on 60 cause the VRR helps it out and the shifts between cities and dungeons isn't as jarring.

Yeah, Xbox. Don't have a tv that supports 120fps or VRR, so Starfield 60fps isn't in a great place for me unfortunately.

Thanks for the feedback!
