His stat line was still pretty good. They kept making mistakes in or near the red zone. Their offense is too loaded for him to not put up really good numbers.
and big 12 defenses are too bad

Got the best possible news about our 2017 QB commit earlier this morning - Texas is recruiting him as a DB.

First FBS touchdown for Charlotte comes off a fumble from Georgia State.
Ole Miss bowl win hype. They lost a ton of defensive starters though. They'll be good but not playoff good.
Pretty classy move. Sticker is a nice design too.

I thought they had one more year in FCS. I mean they were struggling against itty bitty teams like Garner Webb and NC Central just last year.
They don't have to be though with their offense and Patterson can probably make shift enough of a defense to make a run for a championship.
How good you are doesn't factor much into moving from FCS to FBS. Facilites and funding are much more important (and potential TV revenues).

What's the best blowout to watch tonight? Baylor/SMU or Michigan State/WMichigan?

Minny's QB is bad and they still gave up 17 with a potential game winning drive.
Boykin's going to shred every B12 defense so it might not be an issue but if a Baylor shootout happens like last year I don't see TCU coming out with the W. Patterson may be a defensive genius but ultimately you have to work with the personnel you're given. Linebackers/secondary might be a problem.

Aww, CDY. Believe in Pete man.
That little confidence in your dogs?
you are right if minny has a competent qb, they win. Patterson should make Leidner the MVP as he basically handed them the W both years with his shit play.
I simply have more faith in TCU's offense than Baylor's right now(they are breaking in a new qb, when I see them play; I'll probably reevaluate my stance because admittedly I don't follow the BIG XII over the other conferences) and if I have to pick a defense between TCU and Baylor. You bet I'm picking the frogs over Baylor.

I actually have no idea what will happen. I just assume the worst.
I thought it would be a tough game when they came into Husky Stadium two seasons ago and we blew the doors off of them, so who knows.
I was feeling really down after the game yesterday, but I think getting out of there with a win is good enough for me. Minnesota was good last season, and there was a lot of hype from UM fans. Was surprised to see the offense struggle. Thankfully for TCU, they've got some time against crummy opponents to work.
Were the SMU fans chanting "block that punt"?Just took 4 plays for Baylor to get in the endzone.
Not sure, think it was just some walk-on who did some bad stuff.
Hadn't heard of him, but I don't follow recruiting closely. I think they said "committed", but he could have switched after we picked up others.Isn't SMU's QB an A&M transfer?

And TD SMU. Definitely not the same team from last year.
Probably, but they've had some horrendous tackling angles and no wrapping up. Can they win every shootout in the Big 12 without being able to tackle ?:jnc at Baylor. But really, they'll pull away, right? Still, this is fun while it lasts.
If Baylor can get a competent defense they'll be a scary team
Let's remind everyone SMU went 1-11 last year.
Thursday

dont they have a couple of very good defensive lineman?
I saw one of them was sitting out this game due to team violation - Oakman or something like that.

He did go to A&M for two years, but "what happened" is Manziel (who was one year older than him) and Kenny Hill (one year younger).I believe he was considering the MLB draft even while committed to A&M. I don't know what happened in the middle but ultimately he's at SMU now
They also went bowling every year from '09 to '12, and had 5 wins in '13. Not that they're world-beaters or anything but the one win season last year was an anomaly; they're better than they showed in 2014 but I guess they were just a trainwreck behind the scenes (eg June Jones quitting early in the season for "personal issues" after losing their first two games 88-6)..Let's remind everyone SMU went 1-11 last year.
Isn't that how most Big 12 teams win? Screw defense, just focus on offensive skill players.Probably, but they've had some horrendous tackling angles and no wrapping up. Can they win every shootout in the Big 12 without being able to tackle ?
