Roster management, Saban style.
In this scenario, Richt would have kicked Murray off the team as he has his degree and is in grad school. Obviously he won't kick off his starting QB that will own every school and conference record by the end of the season. My only point was that Saban trims his roster by whatever means necessary. Not necessarily underhanded. That ridiculous site that bitched about oversigning always made sure to whine about 5th year seniors with degrees who got "cut," but I never saw the big deal with that. Kids got their degrees, so I'm not sure what else some people feel the university owes them. No one can bitch about the idiotic felons who got cut. Shinn was a contributor last year, but wasn't happy about his playing time and is probably going to Texas Tech. Woodson is still on the team.
As far as "processing" of players go, this was relatively minor.

TAMU's spring game isn't for a few weeks. And why would he punch a Gamblers Anonymous person anyway?

The narc from the OK casino?
Also, :jnc at me for not believing the snow forecasters. Got all ready for work, hit the door and there it was. Still, having the day off is hardly the worst of surprises.

This sounds like a good idea.
Here come the positive stories in Spring about UT! http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/college-football/news/20130325/mack-brown-texas/?sct=uk_t11_a1
And I am going to get hyped and bite into it again.
Then we will have a closer then usual game with BYU. I will be told not to panic, and we will get beaten by K-State, then thrashed by Oklahoma, then etc etc etc.
The joys of being a Longhorn fan.
Vince Young isn't walking through that door!

Excellent Bleacher Report article by Stewart Mandel. He has some decent insights for fan blogger. He's no TJ Corbs Corbs though.
Did you see the jersey strong helmet, with the jersey shore jersey today? I mean I know it's for Sandy, but but but ....
Seems like it's Maurice Clarettt U at Maryland (might be Fed Ex) with Michigan at Rutgers (it might be Metlife) in 2014.
The FBS is growing once more!
Georgia Southern and Appalachian State are moving to FBS in 2015 and joining the Sun Belt Conference. Sun Belt is also looking at Idaho and New Mexico State plus other FCS schools to get to 12 eventually.
FBS Schedules Reporting
Good for Georgia Southern. About damn time.

Do they enjoy good support? Can't remember exactly but I thought they were. I think by 2015 FBS should be pushing about 130 teams I think. Because CUSA is adding some FCS schools too by 2013-2015. UNC-Charlotte and Old Dominion at the very least.

Huh. Weird. Is it really a good move, $-wise, to move from kings of I-AA to lower-tier I-A?

The old geezers at the head of our athletic departments are like any other geriatric.
I think I'm starting to dislike Dodds more than Mack. Stability leads to complacency when things go awry, and that's exactly what has happened. 3 sub 10 win seasons and Dodds loves Mack more than ever. The old geezers at the head of our athletic departments are like any other geriatric. Wake up early with the same routine every day; a bowl of malt-o-meal in the morning, lunch at 11, dinner at 4:30, wheel of fortune at 6:30, then bedtime at 8.
We need a young guy in charge that isn't afraid to shake things up, to step on toes, to create an uncomfortable environment with the constant pressure of accountability. We have none of that right now. Heck I can't even remember the last time a mens head coach was fired for performance reasons. Won't happen anytime soon with "everybody is doing an excellent job and winning all the time is bad for college sports" Dodds

The WVIAC is now set to disband on September 1, 2013. Its football-playing members announced in June 2012 that they planned to withdraw to form a new Division II conference effective at the end of the 2012-13 season; this led to a chain of conference moves that has so far seen all but one of the WVIAC's members find new conference homes.
What? We talk about Louisville all the time here.I can honestly say that I never would have expected to see all the little schools around here mentioned in the CFBGAF thread.

Somewhere, Natural has an itch behind his ear...someone's talking about Louisville.
But I'm certain Western Kentucky will do its best. And, yes, that is who will replace Tulsa. The Hilltoppers want to join Conference USA and league officials have confirmed WKU will be invited.
Few posts up, brah. I got all your CUSA needs covered!
