I also like how they just flat out say BYU vs. PAC 12 in the Kraft Fight Hunger bowl. They're just basically like 'you fucked BYU, this is your destiny no matter if you're 6-6 or 10-2.'

Is it 8/31 yet? I can't wait to get down to Auburn! Taking a little tour of the south. Flying to Memphis and then driving down to New Orleans over to Biloxi, Mobile and Pensacola and then heading north to Montgomery. I've never been to that part of the country so I'm very excited! Go Cougs!

Seems like McCarthy might get that much time at Colorado, but that makes the whole Jon Embree situation look worse. Granted McCarthy would have to lose just as poorly

I still have mixed feelings about that. I think he got shafted, but he lost so horribly.

His contract is 5 years, so probably. He is already doing a lot of good things that will turn into wins. I think we realistically win 5 games this year and who knows the following year.
It wasn't all his fault, but they had to make a change. To be honest, I'm surprised the AD is still there after the Hawkins-Embree era.

Joining the Pac and the Basketball program, men's and women's, turning around kept him there.
The conference change thing makes sense, but basketball wouldn't save the AD here if our football team were performing like Colorado's

Basketball was a big culture change for Boulder, and Tad Boyle broke records his first year, won a Pac-12 championship the next year, and got us past the 1st round of the NCAA tournament this year.
Also, the Regents were pushing for a change in Boulder after the scandals during the Neuheisel and Barnett years. So, they hired Bohn, who was a CU outsider, but a resident of Colorado "native" (He moved there at a year old.) He pushed for Pac membership and outside of football, his coaching hires haven't been bad.
Embree was a result of backlash at shelling out big bucks for a name coach who flopped and giving into alumni pressure who wanted to see a Buff at the reins. I don't really hold Bohn as responsible for that hire as I do Hawkins.

I hope it's the Jets or Giants for the response on TV.
Domers have a deent fan base in NY. I wouldn't give a shit if it's Teo in the second for the Giants he's no value in the first, but much more palatable in the second. I much much rather have Minter, but he's not going to fall to them.
Agreed, also Jordan had some injury problems and has a torn labrum currently. If I was taking a defensive end that early in the draft and he was still on the board, I'd take Mingo over him any day. Mingo was going against future NFL linemen all the time during his time at LSU, can't say the same for Jordan. Plus, Mingo put up the same stats as Jordan, except Mingo did it in only 3 years (and against much better competition).
I think the BYU guy is going to be good in the NFL though.
