Continuing my age old tradition of mostly picking based on the Vegas lines. I did however adjust Alabama down 3 points because Nick Saban hasn't named a starting QB and also because It hink 27 points seems a bit too much. I rounded all 1 point/pick'em spreads up to 4 points as well.

So I left work early to get my haircut then went home and thought I'd knock out some yard work. Got stung by a wasp two fucking times. Trying to remember if I'm allergic or not. I can still breathe, but my arm is getting heavy and numb. If this is my last post here I just want the world to know that I fucking hate Tennessee.

I was out trout fishing down in a tiny creek canyon two weekends ago and stepped in an underground wasp's nest. Stupid fuckers stung me 17 times including one on the face and one on my neck. The one on my pinky finger actually hurt the most. My father-in-law thought it was the funniest thing in the world. Anyway, kept fishing for about an hour and then hiked out. I hope I killed their queen because these stupid stings still itch 2 weeks later. Fuck wasps. At least the trout was delicious.

Edit: Get some Benadryl lotion for the itchiness.

Golden Domers are chickenshit!!
Benadryl has, literally, saved my wife's life on multiple occasions. Crazy food allergies.
Couldn't find the benadryl, but I think I'm going to live. My damn arm is still numb and I can't squeeze anything with my right hand.

I'm no doctor, but that doesn't sound like how a person that isn't allergic would react to a wasp sting. That was similar to how I reacted as well. I didn't think to take Benadryl at the time, figured it would get better quickly. Took probably a week.

If there was previously any doubt about the Bama-WVU game's outcome:

yep, I dont think the score will blow out if they are using two QBs.
Similarly with FSU, they will rest Winston at halftime if they are ahead.
Wisconsin v LSU will be closer than people think given LSUs turnover, playing away and Melvin Gordon.
I dont rate UCLA or Hundy, especially on the road across the country. They will win, but not convincingly.

So my multi-bet this week is:

WVU +26,5pts
Virginia +21.5pts
Oklahoma State +17.5pts
Wisconsin +4pts

I put $10 on it for a potential win of $125.

I got stung by about 10 yellow jackets once when I mowed over their hidey hole. Fuckers. I hate wasps and the like.

Interesting graph

God our ticket prices are ridiculous.

No fucking way I'd pay $76 for a ticket to the Kent State game. If someone has an extra that they want to give away, sure, but otherwise, what a huge waste of money.

I've been to so many OSU games at this point that I've become pretty choosy about the games I actually attend. I probably won't go to more than a couple this year.

Yeah ticket prices are insane, I want to say the Michigan game this year is $130 face value. I usually go to 1 away game and 5-6 homes games a year, luckily though I have a ticket connection which helps out the old wallet.

Welcome back, dumb #ACC telconf questions. Someone asked what Dabo saw on film from UGA that's diff from '13. Before the OPENER. What film?

Bill Belichick: "Oh, I've got film."

Edit:

Brendan Sonnone ‏@osfsu 5m
First reporter called Jimbo Fisher "Coach Pruitt"...Fisher responds: "I think you're on the wrong press conference, I'm Coach Fisher."

ACC reporters must already be jumping ahead to basketball season. "What's this oblong thing here? Football?"

Penn State @ Rutgers is going for 150/ Michigan @ Rutgers is going for 140. It's kinda insane with the amount of alumni both have in this area.

Wisconsin @ Rutgers is going for 60.

If they've figured out how to get film on Pruitt's defense when media covering UGA can only get a few mins a day, if they're lucky, the media guys would be pissed.

But Clemson should know what's coming, it'll be the scheme Pruitt ran at FSU but with talented and young athletes. So it'll be similar in scheme but not as good. I expect some good stuff this weekend, but some boneheaded mistakes in the secondary as well just because of lack of experience. I expect a much improved defense by the end of the year. Camp and practice reps only help so much, game reps are where these kids will improve.

But yeah, like mre said, get your shit together, ACC beat reporters.

So Gundy says that at least 8 true freshmen will play.

FSU's QB won the Heisman trophy, every starter on the O-line is a senior, and they have arguably the best group of DBs in the nation.

8 true freshmen will play in special teams or are on the two deep, or 8 starters on defense and offense will be true freshmen?

Look, here's what you do. Drag a propane tank with a burner down to the sidelines and place a big ol' stainless steel pot on it. Poor in some water and some seasoning and then drop in some fresh crab legs. Keep doing this throughout the game. Keep the burner/pot on wheels and move it up and down the sidelines right next to the line of scrimmage when FSU is on offense. Eventually, you'll wear Winston down, he'll throw off his helmet and run for the sidelines. He'll grab some crab legs right out of the pot, scalding his hands and leaving him incapable of playing the rest of the game.

You're welcome.

I'm sure some will just be special teams guys, but I do think that one of our starting LBs will be a true freshman.

Maybe only 1-3 will actually start. Here's an article discussing who could possibly play: http://newsok.com/candidates-for-ei...ll-play-against-florida-state/article/5336055

That's racist against southerners. No southerner can resist a good seafood boil, be it crab, shrimp or crawfish.

That's really not that bad then provided they're really talented. Some of these new recruits, they're so good you have to put them on the field because they have so much upside, but you have to be prepared for those freshman mistakes. When it's really scary is having a true freshman QB. That position really needs time in the playbook and reps against college athletes.

I don't think Rudolph will play unless he absolutely has to. Walsh will be our starter through the season barring injury or absolutely terrible play.

We have talent throughout the roster, it's just very young in some spots.
