Go Gators! War Eagle! Hope Auburn upsets Georgia and sends the Gators to ATL.
Either team will be demolished by Bama, but a Gator fan can hope.

Depends on alcohol I believe. They are regulated by the federal government, not the states.

There are all sorts of weird loopholes you can use on reservations because of this. It's the least we could do for wiping them out and forcing them into Oklahoma, and then taking that land.

Yeah, but no way am I crossing the red river to gamble at the Winstar. It's a casino catered for Texans, but its on the Oklahoma side of the red river, no thanks. I believe the only casino in the state of Texas is a small Native American casino in Eagle Pass. Never been there, but I hear it's decent.

19 to smoke here.

wow really? Is chewing tobacco/snuff legalized for 17 year olds to even it out?

Can't blame him for mixing up 18 & 21. We have two legal ages in this country, and it's sometimes hard to remember what age gets you which privilege in this great country. Let's do a quick review.

Right to vote: 18
Right to smoke tobacco: 18
Right to serve in the military :18
Right to drink alcohol: 21
Right to enter a strip club: 18
Right to have sex with a prostitute (In select Nevada counties only): 18
Right to play state lottery: 18
Right to buy porn: 18
Right to be in porn: 18

And the legal age to enter a native american owned casino is 18, but non-native american owned is 21. Not sure if that one is a national law or just personal experience.
aside from the military and voting, the rest of those are state laws.

There's a casino outside El Paso. Tigua Indians or something like that.

technically yes, but a state would be strapped for federal funding if they lowered the drinking age to 18 for example. States have a choice in setting these age restrictions, but if they make the wrong choice, say goodbye to federal funding for roads and highways.

I vaguely remember hearing about that establishment on the news. And if it's the one I'm thinking of, it closed down 4 or 5 years ago and turned into a Bingo hall.

That's interesting. There are casinos all over the place around the Seattle-Tacoma metropolitan area. They aren't in the city obviously, but usually only 30-60 minutes outside the city.

Superdome as site of Champions Bowl? Seems dumb not to do it at Jerry's World but I guess if the money is right . . .

The winstar one in oklahoma is only an hour outside the Dfw area.

I don't think that's what they're doing.

Maybe I'm reading it wrong but they are saying "Sugar Bowl" is venue, not Superdome. It's not going to be called the Champions Bowl

edit:
http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/8601209/new-orleans-chosen-site-champions-bowl-game

The Sugar Bowl in New Orleans will be the site of the new Champions Bowl between the SEC and Big 12, sources told ESPN.

New Orleans was chosen over the Cotton Bowl in Arlington, Texas. Two weeks ago, SEC commissioner Mike Slive told ESPN.com that those cities were the two finalists.

Sources said one of the factors why the Sugar Bowl was selected was the SEC's long history in New Orleans. An SEC team played in the inaugural Sugar Bowl in 1935 and SEC teams have been a staple with the bowl game ever since.

Besides New Orleans and Arlington, the other cities that submitted bids for the Champions game were Atlanta, Houston and San Antonio.

The game will take the name of the Sugar Bowl as the "Champions Bowl" name was just a temporary placeholder.

Good. Can't give Jerry everything he wants. So what if Texas is the only state with both Big12 and SEC teams, Louisiana makes more sense geographically when you take all 24 teams into account.

19 for ALL tobacco products.

I was half-way joking mre. I figured as such.

Actually...what the hell do we do with the Cotton Bowl?

Shift it Big XII - Big 10?

" The Sugar Bowl also will be part of the semifinal rotation during college football's 12-year, four-team playoff deal, starting after the 2014 regular season. Other bowls announced in the semifinal rotation are the Rose (Pasadena, Calif.) and Orange (Miami).

Sources said the other three access bowls in the semifinal rotation are expected to be the Fiesta (Glendale, Ariz.), Chick-fil-A (Atlanta) and Cotton. Each of the six access bowls is expected to host four semifinals during the 12-year period."

Call me cynical but the timing of the NCAA leaking it's business on an election night seems peculiar

Wouldn't know! 1-0 against Utah, baby! HOOK 'EM!

Believe me, I've got a running talley of "Winter is Coming" Revenge games. La Tech, La Monroe, Utah, ND, Northern Illinois, Florida State, Minnesota, Texas again or 6 times, Florida another 4 or 5 times, South Carolina, and hopefully, another go round on Georgia this year (2007 shall be avenged..again!)

Either I made up lies about the Boston Bomber or I fell for someone else's crap. Either way, I have absolutely no credibility and you should never pay any attention to anything I say, no matter what the context. Perm me if I claim to be an insider
I've never slammed my dick in the door, but I know I don't want to do that.

Colorado is also 1-0 against Utah.

Texas, the new Colorado.

Oh so they are just re-naming the Sugar Bowl. No new bowl? I was kind of hoping the Fiesta Bowl would go away

Blame Penn State and Miami for legitimizing the Fiesta Bowl.

Hang in there, man. Even with such a shit season, you guys are far-removed from "same ol spartans" territory. Just a tough-luck year.

I know, and it might lead to an actually favorable bowl matchup, provided we can beat Northwestern and/or Minnesota.

Unrelated note, no better place for me to watch the election results come in than the Peoples' Republic of Ann Arbor.

Congrats, JCX. You're now a local!

Good thing tonight's game wasn't on the pick em list. Alot of people would lost tonight. I knew it was a must win for both teams

Fuck DeAnthony Thomas is transferring to either UW or Colorado. Sources say he'll being going to Boulder because he'll have more room to grow.

If he wants to win games while blazed out of his mind he'll come here.

On the other hand, the annual "half of Wazzu's team is in jail because they smoke weed" comedy tour is coming to an end :(

Well he's been chatting with Mike Leach about hot boxing his supply closet so I guess add WSU to his new list.

He also visited Reed (no football team) and Drum Circle A&M just outside of Olympia.

Another Republican won Ron Paul's congressional seat tonight by a slim margin. Dr. Paul has almost 2 months left in office so I still have some time to contemplate whether or not I'll change my avatar when he finishes his term.

It's pretty obvious that Ron Paul is UT's coach-in-waiting.

Holy shit, Tech just got a commitment from 2014 #1 dual threat QB DJ Gillins.

That's really cool news.

Quite a stable of QB talent Tech has built up for the future. Brewer, who just wins, and has a hand filled with state title rings to prove it, Davis Webb, Clayton Nicholas, and this guy.

When Young transferred, I was a little concerned. Not really concerned anymore.

Evergreen College and Humboldt State have really hit a downturn in their recruiting.

Well to be fair, Evergreen stopped 'recruiting' players once the star system was introduced. They simply 'invite' players now and hope they peyote themselves into enrollment.
