Fuck DeAnthony Thomas is transferring to either UW or Colorado. Sources say he'll being going to Boulder because he'll have more room to grow.
He knows what's coming...
Darrell Royal has passed.
RIP and thanks for teaching Bear the Wishbone.

Another Republican won Ron Paul's congressional seat tonight by a slim margin. Dr. Paul has almost 2 months left in office so I still have some time to contemplate whether or not I'll change my avatar when he finishes his term.
Nebraska and Oklahoma have agreed to a home and home.
With work and all the election stuff I missed this. Very happy to be playing our only rival again. Just wish it was sooner and more frequently.
That's really cool news.
Quite a stable of QB talent Tech has built up for the future. Brewer, who just wins, and has a hand filled with state title rings to prove it, Davis Webb, Clayton Nicholas, and this guy.
When Young transferred, I was a little concerned. Not really concerned anymore.
Indeed. Maybe my favorite game ever.
I still think 2006 is the best one, all the atheletes on the field for that one. Maybe the best offensive game Tressel ever called.
Yeah, that was pretty classic too. I of course hated how we couldn't contain Smith's feet though. So fucking frustrating.
That was the great thing about Troy his senior season. He could dodge tackles but wouldnt just take off and run, he would look downfield for the pass.
If I remember right he only had 3 or 4 actual rushes, but did escape the pocket alot. The playaction on 3rd and 1 where we hit Ginn deep was a huge play.

Yeah, I'm an idiot, I was thinking of 2005. The 2006 game was shit. You guys were way better than us.
And then he got fat in December and laid a massive fucking egg in the MNC. Ugh.
I loved that OSU-Michigan game, and it will always be one of my favorite memories of college, but the drubbing in the championship takes a bit of the luster away.
Thank God we have Urbz, because there's no way in hell he'd ever let the players get so horribly out of condition during that month-long gap. That's all on Tress.
This was the game that coined the term 'SEC Defense' on a national stage.
The MNC excuses from the OSU fans are cute. I watched the game because I VERY much wanted the gatas to lose. I was so disappointed with the result.
OSU lost because they couldn't handle the gata DL. They got punched in the mouth, and didn't know how to respond. OSU had been told they were they greatest team in a century all season long, and couldn't believe the gatas weren't scared of the #1 team and the Heisman winner.
Smith may have been out of shape, but he didn't have any time in the pocket to do anything. This was the game that coined the term 'SEC Defense' on a national stage.

Truly a heinous crime.Jim Tressel has a lot to answer for.
I still don't understand how Utah is favored in the game against Washington.

At USC the year after, Stanford and OSU this year, Nebraska in the Holiday Bowl...Washington has bounced back reasonably well from being a doormat, but outside of that win over USC a couple years ago, I can't name another big win they've had since the 90s. How about you?
I've got UW in the pick 'em, just saying.
Good read. My dad has 2 MD's. was in the Army and the Navy as an officer, chief resident, was on the board of Emory University, and was president of the Atlanta Medical Association, and says this is more than likely going to cripple the medical community. Emory has done studies and what not and the quality of our health care will more than likely decline because the intelligent people will go elsewhere to earn their living. It is sad, but true.
Long story short, on Friday we will be laying off 22% of our full-time workforce. Of the 78 we are letting go, about 80% are female and at least 14 are single/divorced mothers. We're creating 50 PRN positions and will give those 78 first crack at those spots, but given the shrinking margins projected in Obamacare with the projected increase in tax burden for our owners (our business is taxed at a personal rate since it's a bunch of closely held LLCs and S-Corps) this is the only way we can meet our debt service obligations while providing an acceptable return on investment to our owners. We've also determined that we will freeze wages going into next year until we can have a better idea of the long-term prognosis of our industry. We've been doing a lot of planning, but I don't think anyone outside of the owners knew this meeting was going to go like it did before we stepped into the room
Shiv, Ill be straight with you.
Obama got 10 million less votes than 2008.
Romney got 2 million less votes than John McCain
Combined the two candidates got less votes than Kerry/Bush in 2004
While yes there is a demographic issue the GOP must confront, they clearly had a problem with enthusiasm, which I never saw coming, given they underperformed not just Bush, but McCain as well. Tells me not enough GOP voters turned out, and sat home.
My opinion is to let it burn. I say raise taxes. Carbon taxes are already being floated about. I say let it ride and urge Boehner to rubber stamp it. Raising taxes won't impact the deficit in a positive way, but whatever, I'm done making economic arguments about it. So let Obama and Dems have the agenda passed in its entirety.
We have crossed the threshold from independence society to dependence society so I am afraid the ship has sailed on fixing our fiscal situation and urge all GOP voters (I am unaffiliated atm but am going to register Libertarian after some thought), to back Obama's agenda and call and email Boehner to pass his initiatives.
America should get exactly what it voted for. I have a clear conscience, I didn't vote for it, but America needs to see it unfiltered.

It'll either work really well, or fail miserably.
Much like the Wishbone back in it's heyday!
Thats a video of people walking around, where's the footage of the riot?
Texas going to line up in the Wishbone for first play this week to honor Darrell Royal. Would be really awesome if they got a TD.

I like that you can tell the person is lying by the seventh word.
I knew K-State fans were good people.
:jncI really think you can pull it off after what LSU did... but it's at home for Alabama, and I'm afraid Texas A&M will wimper if down quickly.. Time for Johnny Football to show the SEC what the Big 12 is about..
I think if A&M plays fundamental defense and makes AJ think, they can win.
