Does Comcast have data caps?
Well. Everyone knows it's comcast so that doesn't work, they needed a service branding that is different from Comcast since it became a giant behemoth when they bought NBC.Doesn't Comcast call all of their shit Xfinity because their brand is basically destroyed?
Charter was trying so hard to buy up TWC too. Comcast must have gone behind their backs. Either way, Comcast was getting a piece of TWC.
Not that there was really competition before, but now even less!

They tried implementing a 250GB/month cap, but dropped it after people complained. They still say they'll call and warn those using what they deem to be an "excessive" amount of bandwidth to stop or risk being throttled, though.
It's location based. Here you get 300gb and you are charged $10 per 50gb you go over and you get 3 "warnings" the first 3 times you go over your 300gb you aren't charged.
If you use comcast i highly suggest using a VPN program when streaming.
Since i started using one i stream Netflix flawlessly in HD, without it it takes me a good 3-4 minutes into the stream to get decent quality SD with some buffers from time to time but i rarely ever get HD streams without the vpn.
Comcast throttles Netflix, it might not be in all locations but i know for a FACT they do it here. and it's goddamn bullshit.
It is reinstated in test markets. I know some cities in Tennessee have caps now.
In certain markets, they have put the cap back on (but at 300 GB). It's only a matter if time before it's widespread.
Fuck you, Comcast.
So I'm going to be going from the 6th best ISP for Netflix streaming to the 14th. Fuck.

Many users only just received Comcast's last batch of speed increases, and now a reliable source at Comcast tells us that another round of updates are in the pipeline for users in some markets. According to the source, Comcast will be boosting their "Performance" tier from 25 to 50 Mbps, their "Blast" tier from 50 to 105 Mbps, and their "Extreme" service may be moving from 105 Mbps to 305 Mbps (this last one's not set in stone). For many users, these tiers were doubled in speed just last year.
250gb, but on my acct, i've had a sign under it forever that says "data caps are not currently enforced" or something
Why wouldn't you have switched already? So glad I live in Google Fiber territory. If this passes, I'm switching.

What the fuck. If Tmobile and AT&T isn't possible (it shouldn't be), then how could the FTC let this happen?
Didn't TWC and Comcast have some sort of relationship in place already? It seems I remember a few years back they literally traded markets in several Texas cities, but I could be wrong.
My parents have comcast in Florida and the fucking guide looks like a goddamn 8-bit Nintendo game. Ridiculous in 2014.

You mean the service whose agents pre-2012 election would come into your house for a service call and tell you that if Romney wins their CEO wanted to work with him to force people onto Verizon Wireless by phasing out Fios/stopping it from being introduced to new cities?Thank god I have Verizon FiOS.
It is kind of true. Comcast is better, Lesser of two evils of course. This doesn't change anything. They were never competitors. They all had monopolies over geographical regions. Even still today I'm stuck with the only option of Time Warner even though I'd rather have pretty much any other company at this point. Kind of funny that my area went from @home to Comcast, then Comcast sold them to Time Warner, now Comcast will end up taking the area over again or I'll be one of the 3 million divested lol. It sucks because most places to live by me don't have the option for Fios. Time Warner bought long term contracts with most apartment complexes to only use them here.
Again, people throwing around anticompetitive.... It's not anticompetitive if they don't compete... Quit using that term
My 20 megabit with no bandwidth cap connection says fuck no it's not.Comcast is better than TWC; it would have been worse the other way around.
Oh there are plenty of reasons to complain, just not anticompetitiveI just want them to burn. They remind me of when AT&T lobbied against the freeing up of RF bands, which were used to create the whole cell phone market.

I am more worried about price, as in your monthly bill.
I have comcast and have for 10 years. Looks nothing like that and never has in my area. That's not to say their Netflix streaming and customer service still ain't horse shitMy parents have comcast in Florida and the fucking guide looks like a goddamn 8-bit Nintendo game. Ridiculous in 2014.
