TEEN TITANS/LEGION SPECIAL (hey, it's on DC's list but not Diamond's edit:shit..it got pushed back to next week now)
GREEN LANTERN #181
AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #512

It's debatable as to how much Titans/Legion is going to piss me off, being the last time I'll probably ever see these versions of the Legion, who were FINALLY beginning to come into their own. Nothing Waid has said about the new run has given me any confidence.

SUPERMAN #209
SUPERMAN BATMAN #12
AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #512
KABUKI #2
X-MEN #162
WIZARD COMICS MAG #157 INCREDIBLE HULK #340 CVR (W/INSERT)
METAL GEAR SOLID #1 (MR)
TRANSFORMERS GENERATION ONE VOL 3 #8

Small possibility I might have to wait until next week to pick these up, but I doubt it. I've been looking forward to reading Metal Gear Solid for awhile now, as I like Ashley Wood's art. Amazing Spider-Man has me interested in how the story is going to turn out, even though I missed last month's issue. I chose that cover of Wizard as I like it more than the other two, even though i have all 3 issues in question that they're taken from.

I will add to the Adam Strange love. Reading Diggle's comments about his vision for the book is dangerous on my wallet; plus it's nice to get some old-fashion pulp sci-fi in comics now.

Goddamnit. I won't be able to go to the shop until this weekend, and I've got this waiting for me:

DC: The New Frontier #6 (of6) - Oh, thank god it's finally out.

Other, lesser comics include:

Wonder Woman #208 - Yawn.

Courtney Crumrin in the Twilight Kingdom - I didn't start reading this series until the first two collections were out, so I've been holding out for the third trade...and it was freakin' killing me. Mildly macabre tales of middle school and the supernatural. Flip through one of the collections at your show and bow before the power of Oni.

And that's it, even if we're still looking at $20 or so worth of comics. Still, I figure I'll have enough extra scratch budgeted that I can pick up a couple more Iron Wok Jan collections.

Heads up for Superman/Batman fans in the West Coast. From MillarWorld:

I just got off the phone with Diamond, and apparently, all of the copies of Superman/Batman #12 were held up in customs for some reason no one seems to know. This only affects the stores that get their books from the LA warehouse, which is mostly just west coast stores. Everyone else gets their copies tomorrow. West coast gets them next week.

They're fucking rebooting. AGAIN.

Mark Waid seems to think it's a good idea, though I fail to see how.

then that is all that matters this week.
Adam Strange matters!

Why aren't more people buying this title? It'll be good, trust me. Check out the early reviews so far: http://www.thefourthrail.com/reviews/critiques/092704/adamstrange1.shtml, http://www.thefourthrail.com/reviews/snapjudgments/092704/adamstrange1.shtml

And Black Mask is back? He was only dead for like, a year and a half. I guess DC shouldn't criticize Marvel's "dead is dead" policy, then.

I'm getting Adam Strnage.

And speakinf of Black Mask-- I gave up on Catwoman when the art changed. Does it suck, or is the writing still good?

Superman/Batman #12 Spoilers:

Well, so much for the new Supergirl; Darkseid took care of this one fairly quick... or so it would seem. Y'know, the life expectancy of these gals is getting shorter and shorter; Superman should just build himself an army of disposable Supergirl sidekick robots instead. Maybe Batman ought to do the same, at the rate he's going through Robins. His "robot JLA" in the upcoming JLA: Classified shows he's got the skills.

Oh well... At least Batman proved (yet again) why he's such a f*cking badass in this issue.
