It's out in the EU on Steam tho since Friday. I have no idea what's up with this quiet delay only on console; on Xbox, I get no entry for it at all in the store search.Loving the impressions here.
Game is only out on the 15th in EU but I feel that I will love this very, very much. There's a punk attitude to it that hits just the right spot.

My advice is to just watch the gameplay on youtube and see if you like it. There's about 4 or 5 different core gameplay elements that are part of the loop. Combat, chasing, conversations / cutscenes, searching, stealth, etc.I love quirky Japanese games but for some reason i hated Wanted Dead (maybe u expected too much from its Ninja Gaiden pedigree), how does Slitterhead compare to Wanted Dead? Is it more playable and cohesive or is it a similar hodgepodge of random stuff?
Yeah it looks very intriguing, but Wanted Dead kind of burned me up so I'm going more carefully. My advice is to just watch the gameplay on youtube and see if you like it. Well I loved Wanted: Dead so I'm probably the last person to ask about it.Yeah it looks very intriguing, but Wanted Dead kind of burned me up so I'm going more carefully.
I know I'm probably going to buy it anyway, but still
After the DA Veilguard review this guy has lost all credibility to me
I thought his build guides for Wrath of the Righteous were good. That's how I discovered him.I'm not sure how anyone listened to him in the first place as his delivery is so dry and dull.
You can't possess humans with low affinity or other Slitterheads. The more you know.I dunno, not far into the game, but I gotta say the way the game just randomly decides who you can posses and who you can't is not good game design. Like you need to infiltrate some place, but you can't just take control of a guard, you need to find some contrived way to go around.
The game just betrays it's own mechanics and doesn't seem to be doing anything particularly interesting with them.
I recently played Messiah with the same gimmick and that game put it to much better use.

I was just thinking the same thing lol, just had a forced stealth mission which is a baffling concept in a game where I should be able to possess the patrolling guard and just move on.I dunno, not far into the game, but I gotta say the way the game just randomly decides who you can posses and who you can't is not good game design. The game has lore. Not all humans are equal. Some have zero sensitivity and cant be possessed. Some have hypersensitivity and are rarities with stronger than normal connections. Also some Slitterheads and even military can detect you so stealth is sometimes needed.I was just thinking the same thing lol, just had a forced stealth mission which is a baffling concept in a game where I should be able to possess the patrolling guard and just move on.
What a weird game this is. Character models out of the PS3, and they all seem to have big-head-mode on by default. The game 'world' is very thin corridors and the game has Souls style combat, the last thing I expected.

I see. Since I'm on the verge of refunding can you tell me if the non combat sections of the game get more involved and difficult than the first infiltration mission where you need to learn about the mafia ring? The game has lore. If you're not into it now, you might as well bail on it.I see. Since I'm on the verge of refunding can you tell me if the non combat sections of the game get more involved and difficult than the first infiltration mission where you need to learn about the mafia ring?
It was very linear and obvious of what to do, but it is the first mission like that so maybe it gets trickier the further you go?
