Picked up this bad motherfucker today:
Going back and trying to get all of Mike Zeck's work. Story isn't the best in the world, but god damn if that still isn't one of the best pieces of comic artwork put to paper ever.
Also snagged some more Witchblade and a Superman ice cube tray to keep my drinks. . . SUPER COOL! ^_^
All Star Breastern for me this week.

Pretty much. I think it's the boots that bother me the most. If they were just high boots it'd be fine, but the knee is open and the boot wraps around it. I think.

I remember that Spider-Man anti-drug issue from when it was given out free years ago. It's funny, I never noticed before, but with all of the illicit substances being all webbed up and presented to the kids it totally looks like they're Spidey's and he's offering it to the young impressionable minds.

If "omni-donna" refers to what I think it refers to, then that happened in the "Return of Donna Troy" mini right before Infinite Crisis, and carried over into Countdown.
Personally I liked the whole "magic mirror twin soul sisters" thing the best.
That was her backstory for return in countdown? God I hope shes a popular character in these shorts..
Today's GameFAQs poll "Have you read a book in the past year?" prompted me to ask a buddy of mine if comic books counted and he said no. Also he got all uppity about people that listen to audiobooks in the "What are you reading" thread. I think he's wrong on both counts and am now kinda butthurt. Somebody tell me who's right here.
it depends on the quality of what you read to me. i know a book is considered by most to be mostly text, but i would glady toss up something like Y the last man, 100 bullets, or planetary against any book released in the last 10 years when it comes to the story.
My biggest problem with his argument is that he's making it an issue of logistics. Storytelling via art predates written language and fucker is trying to tell me that because words are surrounded by pictures that doesn't count as reading. I can get behind listening to an audiobook isn't technically reading, but isn't the act of absorbing the story more important than the physical method? I think the guy's just being a pretentious asshole to be honest.

Come on man. I love comics as much as the next guy, but prose novels and comics are two very different things. Just because you're not reading one form of media, doesn't mean you have to get defensive about the other. Does a newspaper count as a book too?

Dammit, when does Marvel plan on adding more Black Panther comics to its Android app? I've gotten the only Man Without Fear there, and that's the Spider-Island tie in. And I really want to give Priest's run a look.
Terry Long was a genuine creeper, and almost universally hated. It's fitting that when he died he took his kid with him.
And Donna Troy herself is a fine example of continuity gone wrong.
There's nothing not awesome about Terry Long.
Aside from the fact that he's a stand-in for Marv Wolfman so that Wolfman could marry his fictional crush.
