Great Chris Eckert piece if you wanna feel bad about ever supporting the current run of Punisher in any way like I am, because holy shit the kind of bullshit Edmonson and Gerads are about is fucking gross.

I read a few issues of that run and while I love the Ennis and Aaron runs, which aren't exactly bleeding heart, some of the subtext made my skin crawl. So I'm totally not surprised here.
There's always been an element of parody and hyperbole in these two runs that didn't make them look like a stand-your-ground-shithead manifesto. This one takes itself seriously and really reads like hardcore conservative porn.

On that same note, if you want to get a really cool commission that's original and embodies that artists skills and style, let them draw you whatever the fuck they want. I love that my Ryan Browne commission is some crazy ass monster he came up with that day and not just a drawing of a preexisting character done in his style. Same with the weird ass clown my wife got from Chip Zdarsky. I feel like if you want an artist to draw a character they are known for, just buy one of their pages.

I'm really debating on doing this. I was planning on getting different artists style of Batman.
But I've learned that an artist really does his best when you just kinda let then run free. I have a ton of tattoos and most of the time I will give them a vague idea of what I want and tell them to do whatever they want. Usually turns out best that way.

He's very conservative but I've never read anything about him on a personal level and I've never felt it was particularly obvious in his books.

I'd appreciate if you guys made any shattering revelations about him once Fables is over, though. I dropped Stardock games last year, I'd rather not drop another thing I like anytime soon.
