Saw a really badass Gamora at FCBD last May. It really was 100% dead on.

Speaking of FCBD, I'm out this year. My LCS fucked it up last year and only let you grab like 4 books and you had to pay for more. It fucking sucked.

Free comic book day, now $2.99!

Powers: I've been going back and catching up on my Powers trades. Has anybody noticed how many damn times Bendis has split Walker and Pilgrim up, just to get them back together? Shit's getting really tired, Brian.

First Walker exposes the FG-3 conspiracy and has to quit the force and hide. Pilgrim gets a new partner So and So and then they go and try to find Walker and partner So and So gets blown the fuck up by an RPG. So now that's gone and it's back to Pilgrim and Walker as partners.

Then during the Supershock arc, Deena gets severely injured and is laid up in a hospital for a long time. Returns to be Walker's partner and has to learn the ropes all over again.

Then Deena gets infected with a powers virus and goes out of control. She quits the force and nobody can find her. Walker gets Enki Sunrise as his new partner. This gets fully resolved in the "The 25 Coolest Dead Superheroes of All Time" arc. Deena gets a huge payout and leaves the force to go live in retirement in Hawaii or something. Walker continues with his partner Sunrise.

Then Deena comes back as an FBI agent at the end of "Z." They all work together, until the end of "Gods," when Walker stops a giant space God thingy. I think. Then he vanishes. Deena finds him again in the first trade of Bureau and they become partners again.

Oh, and the PSN TV show is uh, it's dogshit. Holy crap, what were they thinking. I feel like shooting myself in the damn head after watching the first two episodes and comparing that to the comic run. The casting is awful. Walker isn't Walker. Deena isn't Deena. And who thought it'd be a good idea to cast a 50 year old Michelle Forbes as Retro Girl? There is a "Girl" in that name, isn't there? The characterization is completely off as well. Walker is too much of an asshole, while Pilgrim is nowhere near enough of an asshole. Deena Pilgrim is one of the most well-crafted comic book characters I've ever read, but they never capture that essence in the show. Instead, she's just this young innocent rookie who has to learn the ropes. Where's that attitude that Deena's supposed to have? Deena's always going to be the baddest b*tch in the room, but you don't see that onscreen. I hope they cancel this joke soon.

Hey guys, I don't really read comics, but I'm interested in the upcoming Fight Club 2 10-part graphic novel and since I doubt I'll find a way to buy them around where I live, what reliable online sites do you use? I'm in Portugal, so they need to ship from the EU. Thanks in advance :)

Never read comics before other than some Invincible and Ys graphic novels. I'm not sure what I'm even looking for really other than the Star Wars and Darth Vader issues. Other than that I'm open to anything anyone thinks is good. Kinda intrigued about what I've heard of Deadpool (especially issue 45 coming this month that Jason Mantzoukas wrote). And I enjoyed Punisher as a character as a kid. I dug Guardians of the Galaxy as a movie and wouldn't mind seeing more of that. And I'd definitely be interested in any series that revolve around space sci-fi / exploration if such a thing exists. Particularly if there's anything like Mass Effect.
Catching up on the thread, and this may sound a bit random, but if you can keep an open mind: Transformers: More Than Meets the Eye is a damn good comic that's absolutely worth reading. And this is coming from someone who never cared about Transformers, so don't overlook it just because of feelings towards the license.

I thought it might be someone from Criminal Girls at first. XD

I thought it was Anime Taylor Swift.

Man, the ignore list thread in OT is a graveyard. Stay safe out there, folks. Also, because of that thread I learned why all those people had the avatar of the thing that looks like a bucket with an army helmet on it.

These guys are insane.

More Than Meets the Eye is such a joy to read. I want Megatron to school these fools.

They're the Decepticon Justice Division.

More Than Meets the Eye is the the best Transformers comic since the glory days of the original UK G1 strip. It has no right to be as good as it is, and it's only gotten better in Season 2. Well worth checking out. Last Stand of the Wreckers too, for a great one-off story.

MTMTE also has the RODPOD!

It's better than the constant focus on "look how crazy and edgy Prowl is, is he even an Autobot anymore?" in The Transformers. We get it, he's the head of Devestator, sheesh. At least Thundercracker stays his awesome self. And MTMTE also features Megs as part of the Lost Light crew. Can't hate. Love his arguments with Rodimus.

I think my LCS caters more towards children where they give them whatever issues they want and adults are limited to 3. The line was nuts last year. I rolled by about half an hour before opening and there was no way I was going to get in line. This year, I'll show up 2 hours earlier and I'm taking my 3DS with me. Should be a fun outing.

Hercules can wield Mjolnir? Because he just bashed fake-Thor's head in with it

Edit: spider man CW tie ins are done but I had to add the next issue to my queue with a cliffhanger like that o_O

Aunt May shot and Peter back in the black costume

Finished Zero vol 1 tp and am now deciding if vol 2 and 3 will make my IST order...i liked it a lot but the ending was kinda " i dunnnno" and having a different artist every issue is not something i approve of for books i get into. Still, it's one of the better "agency" books that i've read, the balance between action and Eddie's side of it was well done and Kot did a good job of creating a world here. Random 8/10 with art gripes, i wish Walsh drew the whole series.

I'm glad i'm not reading Civil War tie-ins or something crazy.

So was that not Mjolnir that the robot thor was using? if it was how could Hercules wield it and more importantly, wouldn't the hammer know that it's not actually thor, thus he is not worthy?

I think he's reading every single tie-in too. Didn't like every single Marvel title get pulled into that?

It was definitely around that. I read them all back in the day. That was in my CS:S/WOW days so I had a lot of time to kill.

The only book that wasn't in it was Nextwave, but they still did the tartan cover. Was very confusing, especially since I wasn't reading NEtxwave at the time.

Also, adding The Road to Civil War would put it over 90. There were seven issues of that. One of them was actually about Doom going to Oklahoma to try and lift Mjolnir. Was a good issue. I think it ended with the tease of a guy with a briefcase saying "D.B." getting on a bus to go there.

Yeah every book. MU lists 96 issues, some pre CW stuff, and some Initiative stuff too
