Anyone else reading Copperhead? Loved the newest issue. It was great to see some more of the main characters lives outside of work.

Finished Waid's first DD run. Not much else to say, it's awesome and a must read. It peaked with the Ikari arc, but I liked the last arc with the sons of the serpent aswell. Time to move to San Francisco then.

Question for MangaAreComicsTooGAF - Is Knights of Sidonia any good? I've been curious about it for some time and wanna get into it, but being thirteen volumes in at this point, I need to know if it's worth the investment.

I know it's been said over and over but man. Greg Land sucks. I'm trying to read Fraction's UXM run, and every time it switches back to Land, it's such a chore. Why does everyone stare directly at the reader and smile for no reason in five to seven horizontal panels? All the classic porn tracing complaints aside, it's just hard to follow. It would be easier to understand the story if I was just reading the script. The Dodson issues are such a dream after reading four Greg Lands in a row.

So glad Kirsten is in this San Francisco DD book

I tried it and it seemed kind of... distant? I had a hard time following it even if the art was pretty cool. I couldn't properly enjoy it and gave up.

Yo, if some of y'all are doing a Final Crisis re-read, count me in. My favorite event, and I have my 4-d glasses ready.

I've heard good things about it. Are you saying you're 13 volumes in and need to know if you should continue...?

Joke post? No significant mutant was ever introduced without like a four part storyline introducing them.

Next.

No for reals; I wouldn't even suggest reading Milligan's X-Statix run, you'll be turned off from it from the very first issue. ...and X-Statix is among the BEST X-books of all time IMO.

What was the particular post that got him the boot? Don't see anything particularly egregious in his post history (by his standards, anyway), aside from maybe a deleted one.

A big post about Olivia Munn not being a real actress because she may not be the nerd she claimed to be and then a bunch of gifs of her eating hot dogs and, god forbid, not wearing enough clothes (?). I think. I don't know if it got worse, I wasn't reading the whole thread.

I think I'm gonna read Frank Miller's Daredevil for the
first
time.
I know, I know. Somehow I haven't.

Wow, Daredevil was awesome. Hope we get Season 2 and Matt gets a more final version of the suit (I'd imagine they're going to definitely change it up) for the Defenders event.

I gotta reread Miller's DD again.

I thought the animu was pretty good but I've always been a sucker for sci-fi that takes on a more hard, realistic angle.

I'm down.

YES! Part of PADs Aquaman is finally on sale on CMX. Also 90s catwoman, and other stuff. But Aquaman! Woot

Also includes Shadow of the Bat. First four issues are Grant/Breyfogle's introduction to Zsasz.

I'm only up to episode 3 so far but I'm really enjoying it. The leads are great.

Edit: Looking over this week's releases on Comixology it says Sabrina #2 is out, is that right? Wow, been forever since the first issue.

Guys, you should all be reading COPRA. Fiffe is really pulling something great with that series.

Reading the second trade makes me wish even more that DC would publish again the whole Ostrander Suicide Squad run. There was one trade a couple of years ago and then nothing.

Let's do this!

I was giving this some thought last night, and a really comprehensive Morrison re-read should probably include Seven Soldiers: Mr Miracle. It set up Shilo Norman as Mr Miracle and Darkseid getting the Anti-Life Equation. Plus Seven Soldiers is really good and more people should read it.

I don't have it :( Plus, we have until 4/29 to get this read until the last Multiversity comes out.

Yeah Sabrina is finally coming out this week. I've decided to trade wait as I can take monthly delays. So I will enjoy Sabrina in 2017.

File it away as something to check out later, just do yourself a favor and don't read up on it beforehand. There are some cool little reveals that are so awesome if you don't know they're coming ahead of time.

I'll start Final Crisis tonight so I don't get behind.

I might try and find some of these. Do I need to read them all to get the most out of it?

Definitely. They're all inter-connected. I wouldn't bother trying to collect single issues unless it's your fetish, so just buy the 4 TPBs or 2 bigger TPBs that collect 'em all in correct reading order (the reading order is weird since it goes... #0, A#1 B#1 C#1 D#1 A#2 etc until you reach #4 of B and then E#1 and then C#4 D#4 and then the next round of #1s, and so on).

...Yeah I'll go with the TPBs. I usually buy digital unless I'm getting something I specifically want a floppy of, or with trades I'm catching up on, so that seems like the best option here. I just didn't know whether they were all collected together or if the different characters had different trades. And anything that gives me the story in the proper reading order is going to make things much easier. Thanks for the info!

Seven Soldiers works similar to Multiversity, you have two bookend issues then seven character based issues telling the story. Seven Soldiers is much longer though, each character git a four issue miniseries. As per usual with Morrison, the artists are all amazing.

Yeah, I'm very glad that the trades are in reading order instead of being Manhattan Guardian, Bulleteer, etc. trades where you'd have to go back and forth. No problem! Enjoy whenever you get around to it.

EDIT: Yeah, Tim's right on the bookend issues. Now I'm wishing Multiversity got four issues each per world. That would be amazing.

As much as I wish Thunderworld was a book I could buy every month, I don't think Pax or Ultra would have worked as well as multiple issue miniseries. Hell, Pax was basically four issues worth of content and story as it was. I think the hyper compressed nature of these stories is what makes them work so well.

Yeah, as I posted it I realized Ultra wouldn't really work (and truth be told I don't think I'd care too much about Mastermen past the initial investment). Pax I feel like there COULD be more there, but you're right that they did get a lot of story into that issue.

Yo--yes! Hell of an event/book, and you get the added bonus of having Frazer Irving on an excellent Klarion the Witch Boy story.
