Finished off Spider-Man and the X-Men, which was a great, fun little thing. Nothing too amazing, but a nice little thing to have.

And I've started off the Usagi Yojimbo Saga volume 1 that I own. Made it through that initial story, and starting it off with a TMNT crossover definitely helps as a way to ease me in. This'll definitely be an interesting one to go through. Also, thank god the creator actually seems to have a solid base of knowledge about Japan, as comics have definitely been more than a little cringey about that many times in the past. I mean, the hell kind of Japanese person has the name "Kwannon"?

Just read Archie #2, and I'm still in love with everything about this series: the dialogue, the art, the plot progression, the mysterious new character, and everything in between. I wish everyone would read this book right now.

10/10

+ Art
+ Great characterization of Betty
+ Awesome paneling
+ fast read, organic dialogue
+ Jughead

Well, that's disappointing. I follow and can understand the reasoning, but it's still :( from what I was expecting coming up.

I love seeing Staples art being applied to a book that makes sense.

i don't know who they could possibly get to follow her up.

she's leaving some big shoes to fill.

Wait, what? Reading The Secret Service, and he named the black double leg amputee GAZELLE?

This was good, tho

There's porn all around us, Corlioanus. All you have to do is pause for a moment and enjoy the small holes in life.

Yes, but the google search was a particularly special treasure trove.

What came up wasn't what one would usually call work safe, mind.

Well, Stan Sakai was born in Kyoto, and is third -generation Japanese - American.

Ah, right. That's what I get for not knowing like anything about the series/creator. But yeah, that's cool. And like I said, it's really nice to see something comics-wise that actually knows its stuff and isn't being super questionable about the way it approaches Japan. Definitely interested to dig more into it soon.

I'll find him one off deviant art for $4!

It's more about me seeing different artists takes on the request. People I like. I'd love to see what character they would choose to draw her as. I'd love to see Noto face Harley.

Zombine you should be ashamed of those posts.

Clearly tagged as NWS and preceeded by spider-porn talk. Dudes still click on it and act surprised.

Don't know what you all expected, really.

The Secret Service complete. Exactly as good as the film. Different enough that it's worth a read to the very end.

Onwards to Sooper Crooks.

Hi everyone, I'm watching summer slam and not posting links to things.

We could talk about comics too. I think I'll get that new Archie book everyone likes when it gets a cmx sale.
