The Walking Dead #135 was another great issue, and this book has my anticipation building in ways it hasn't since before All Out War.
The Whisperers
have brought the horror back to this title in a big way and
Lydia's potential interaction with Carl
has me chomping at the bit to get #136 into my hands.

I don't think it'll be long before we get to see why sometimes you just need to kill a man dead.

That issue was huge. I think we may honestly get a
Carl x Lydia x Negan
team up, but I may be interpreting it wrong.

This panel was literally perfect.
Giving her that baby doll youthful look after removing the skin mask was just...amazing

Yo that is awesome. But I have a serious question though:

Robot suit Batman vs Hulkbuster Iron Man? Who would win? I'm placing my bets on Dumbledore coming in for the win out of nowhere.

If by "team-up", you mean "threesome", then I'm all for it.

I wasn't too keen on this arc until last issue. This one was rad too. Is TWD getting good again!?

I was skimming through the first issue of the Wake and got a kick out of the chick wearing a Flak Jackets hat. Nice easter egg from Murphy referencing Punk Rock Jesus.

Speaking of getting rid of floppies, what have you guys done with cds and dvds? I threw out most of my cd cases now but kept the linear notes/backings. I'm eying my buffy seasons and angel seasons and thinking about throwing out all the boxes and just putting the discs in a binder.

I don't buy them anymore.

Are we talking about just dvd's or are we including Blu Ray as well? Streaming blows, and the compression will never beat disc based media in regards to fidelity. The only media I have found where digital is the clear winner is with comics.

I've thrown away pretty much all my CD and movie cases with the exception of my MCU Phase One Suitcase. Same thing with my video game cases. Kind of miss they way they used to look on my shelves but my shelves are full of books anyway and I have no more space. Now if i could just convince my wife to throw away her cases...

I saw on Twitter this morning that Nonplayer #2 is finally coming out. I really liked the first issue, so I don't even care about the lengthy delay. I just want to read it!

Also, there's a new Ninjak series coming out?! Sold.

I don't listen to much music, so I just use Spotify. My CDs are in my mam's attic I think, for audio dramas I split the cost with my brother so he gets the CDs and I get the downloads.

Stopped buying discs for films two years ago and don't regret it. For the few times a year there's a film I want to see I'll go to the cinema. Bought binders for the discs and boxed up the cases in my attic.

I just want the experience these days, don't need a box and disc for that.

I still buy lots of Blu-Ray, it's way better than streaming in my opinion, both audio and video.

I'm getting a tablet soon so I'm excited to read some digital comics, but I've never really been much of a floppy buyer so it'll be trades/hardcovers versus digital for me.

He's still gonna play in the game.

I truly believe that writers and publishers could learn from what Aaron has accomplished with this book so far. Flesh out your characters and your books will be better for it. I can honestly say that after these two (going on three) issues, they have turned Boss Hog into a sympathetic figure. What he still did was wrong and he needs to pay dearly for it, but now I know what makes him tick.

I also collect blu ray's.

Pretty much the Scalped template. And holy shit does it work.

I haven't but I have circled around it about a dozen times. Should I bite and pick up the whole series?

You guys sold me.

It at least twice as good as Southern Bastards, and I like Southern Bastards. Once you get to the second story arc, Casino Boogie, shit flies.

Bought. It was $92 for all 10 volumes.

Oh yeah, my girlfriend is an AL native, and when I showed her this book (she loves all things southern) she was honestly shocked at how faithful Southern Bastard's is to the culture down there.

Good call, yo! I feel like Aaron, in regards to Scalped and Southern Bastards, is entirely respectful to his settings, and puts in the quality research time that allows him to make the settings as genuine as possible for his books. Like, the settings ain't some secondary thought to just tell stories about stereotypical Indians on a Rez or rednecks in the South. Dude fully explores the communities he's creating stories within.

And man, Scalped is DEFINITIVE Aaron, as far as I'm concerned.

Blu rays have smaller cases..that's something. I still buy four or so blu rays a year which is manageable for space...and Taylor Swift cds. Almost all my shelf space now belongs to comics.

Worked a couple of hours on this. Didn't know how hard it was to get a successful template to become reality. Hopefully, I'll do this each week when new comics are out.

and no disrespect to Latour cuz he's doing his thing, but R. M. Guéra is some next-level ass dude. The kind of dude where you get a little mad and nerdy when people refer to it as "Jason Aaron's Scalped" like he drew 60 of these fantastic lookin' comics. He's so good, that when John Paul Leon or Francesco Francavilla does one of those "breather" issues in-between story arcs, you get a little sad that RM isn't drawing it.

Kipp

but I am taking tiny steps forward

That is really, really cool.

Nice template! That looks really sharp.

You did a good thing. One of the best books out there. I'm really looking forward to the deluxe editions.
