Completly forgot that I asked for Nextwave yesterday :
Thanks, the complete collection is preordered. There wasnt that much exiting new stuff in the last Marvel Collection Announcements, but this seems like something worth looking for ;)

Steve, the dog with no powers that we let hang out with us all for some reason
My favorite comic books this year, in no particular order.

- "Velvet" by Brubaker/Epting.
- "C.O.W.L" by Higgins/Siegel/Reis.
- "Copperhead" by Faerber/Godlewski.
- "Hawkbro" by Fraction/Aja/Wu.
- "Batgirl" by Stewart/Fletcher/Tarr.
- "Low" by Remender and Tocchini:
- "Jupiter's Legacy" by Millar and Quitely:
- "Batman" by Snyder and Capullo.
- "Starlight" by Millar and Parlov.
- "Lumberjanes" by Ellis, Stevenson and Allen
- "Red Sonja" by Simone et al.
- "Batman/Superman" by Pak, Lee & co.
- "Invincible" by Kirkman & Ottley.

Probably leaving a lot of names behind but that's all I can think of in 2 minutes.

I've been reading New X-Men on Marvel Unlimited and I've been really enjoying the story so far.

Saga volume 4 trade came in on Tuesday and I loved it.

Ended up getting Fables deluxe volume 1, and the first trades of Rat Queens and The Wicked + The Divine for Christmas so I'll be starting on those this weekend.

I finished a little bit more than the half of the Captain America Trial of the Winter Soldier Omnibus... Its far from the greatness of the first half of Brubakers Run, but still good. I really like the ideas that Brubaker has all the time, but the execution is not that great...
I hope it gets a little bit better again.

I am allowed to vote for Sunstone as an OGN right? We decided we could with the last Empowered book if I remember correctly.

I thought his run ended on a strong note. The stuff collected in the vol 4 omnibus is some of the weaker parts of the whole thing.

Which Volume is Trial...?

There is still some stuff I have to read, and I am very confident, that it all will be a little bit better again.

I actually like the current Issues, where Bucky is imprisioned in an russiam Gulag. I will see how the rest turns out and there is still one Omnibus left to read next year anyway^^

S.H.I.E.L.D #1 preview.

What makes me want to read it - Mark Waid

What puts me off reading it - Coulson and May.

Also, have single issues started costing $5?!

All New Cap #1 - though the final page was okay, i'm not a fan of standard action books and Immonen seems squandered here. Random 5/10 for being average at everything.

^^^Marvel does that " It's the first issue so...let's make it $5" I'm not buying Shield partly because of it, the show, a general me not caring about stuff, etc etc. MDU sub gets another book i wait for.

I can't pay $5 for a Carlos Pacheco book, but its only for the first issue. Next issue reminds me of Waid/Ramos Impulse with the high school setting so I'm actually totally down for that. The next couple issues after that have Alan Davis and Chris Sprouse too, and Waid is good at these one-issue superhero stories, so I'm actually tentatively looking forward to this book

Just skipping the first issue is all lol

I have no idea. I know there have been a bunch of $4.99 annuals lately, but other than that, I only know of a few. The Miracleman monthly from Marvel is $4.99 and polybagged, and the newsstand edition of Batman still seems to be $4.99. I saw #37 at a newsstand today and it had $4.99 on the cover, even though the direct market version went back down to $3.99. Man, DC up to some pricing hijinks.

In for this. Mark Waid on a monster-of-the-week style book will be gold. I also really like the Coulson character, at least in the movies (not really a TV guy outside of Doctor Who and Simpsons reruns).

For 300 dollars you can get every Star Wars comic published by dark horse

Bad news is you have to use their app hahaha

I think I'd rather have the 300 cups of coffee.

That looks kinda fun, but doesn't that mean Coulson and Johnny Storm are the same age (at least)?

That's... odd, given the sliding timeline usually keeps Johnny in his mid twenties, and Coulson is presumably supposed to be roughly Greg Clark's age.

Especially when a book shipped in the last few weeks saying the Fantastic Four emerged in the sixties.

I dunno why part of me thinks it's deliberate and therefore interesting rather than just Marvel's editing getting sloppier though.

I have been trying to sign up for Marvel Unlimited all day and it keeps saying my card address is incorrect. It seems other people have had this problem before too. I think I'm going to pass on it. If I can't even sign up I'm afraid what the actual product is going to be like.

dont forget the 8 dollar new 52 valentines day issue "young romance" that featured such bangers as "batman told catwoman not to steal" by ann nocenti!

Is there a deal going on right now? Should have gotten on the $0.75/month deal a few weeks ago.

13 inches, it is gigantic.

average sized*

That is rad, Korupt. Is a statue or an action figure (I think I see some joints)?

Action figure, there is a whole justice league set as well that are 7 inch figures that are part of the same "set"

I like Dragon Age 3 and have been playing a ton, but its motto should be " With no choices comes great responsibility". Bioware seems to have given up with decision making since they did a poor job of it in DA 2.

Spent like 5 hours of Christmas day re-organizing my room and also cleaning it (the wooden floor was disgusting underneath where my bed and drawers were) so that I could put up my new Kallax shelf. Totally worth the time and effort. The shelf looks awesome (and my room seems to have way more space now).

The lighting is bad so it doesn't look as good as it does in real life, but you get the idea.

I was pretty shocked that I basically filled it all up. I thought my other shelves were small, but I guess they weren't that small. Plus I did have kind of a ton of comics stacked on top of it too. And now I have that smaller shelf for overflow too. Although once the Kallax fills all the way up, I'll probably just buy another one.

Also, you all will be happy to know that my comics are now perfectly organized by Publisher and then Titles. Well, basically.

But yeah, I'm super pleased about it. My comics finally look as good as they ought to.

Shelf Bro

Time to post some shelf porn
I couldn't fit all my books, I'll need another shelf soon ;_;
As always sorry for the shitty cell phone quality :p

Nah, there are definitely choices in a few areas. But let's be honest, the most important choice in any Bioware game is who you're going to f*ck.

Also, Kipp, can you put PSN back up I wanna sync my trophies. It's not just the comic industry you're killing now. :(
