MU reading

I'm really enjoying Spider-man Renew our vows 2 issues in. Gives me the same warm happy vibes I get from Lois & Clark mini. I wish marvel would make this a permanent thing. Peter married to MJ with a kid. So much more entertaining than forever stunted & single Peter.

However the hulk issue with guest star Jeremey Lin was so so bad. What a waste of an issue. And it's an arc lasting more than one issue. Why? Who asked for this?

Renew your vows is great and has only gotten better. Stegman is doing career work imo.

Its only one more issue for Hulk but that issue is also trash. It happened because Pak is a huge hornets fan and Lin fan.

Oh wow I thought it was just a Spider-Man mini. I'm happy at least it's still going

The Secret Wars book was a mini (Also worth reading btw). But the current Renew Your Vows is an ongoing series set in a different universe. Still going great.
Yea I read the secret wars mini back when it came out. The parallels between it and the Superman/Lois with a son are pretty fun to see. One just went and took over all the main books (the correct decision)

I would honestly love to see this be the status quo but I understand they wont let that happen. So I will enjoy this book while I have it.

Also nice of Wiebe to still call Rat Queens Vol 4 in the trades so it doesn't mess up the collections. I wonder how he will do the deluxe vol 2 though as we are most assuredly not getting the tess stuff collected.

Why wouldn't they include the Fowler stuff? Are they on bad terms?

Absolutely yes.

www.themarysue.com/conflicting-accounts-plague-rat-queens/amp/

It ended very badly

Calling her "work for hire" is a bad look. It's like Wil.i.am calling Fergie a guest singer. Also he was totally bringing back Roc.

Well, Roc was the second best artist who worked on that book. My question is if Wiebe was making all these moves to bring Upchurch back, why did it never materialize? Was the blowback just that bad when word got around?

Wasteland is a great book and binged in a day, though you can tell in the final volume that book could have gotten longer and was cancelled so Antony Johnson did his best to wrap things up

Yes. Imagine people were fairly angry about a woman beating sexual abuser being the artist on a female empowerment book.

Tess blew up his shit when he was making sly moves and he seen the full blowback of what he was doing.

He was easily the best artist to work on Rat Queens.

Obviously he wasn't as sly as he thought. If he didn't fucking keep tweeting Upchurch art he probably would have gotten away with it.

Sejic essentially married the female version of himself. They are adorable together. But they are both obsessed with Destiny and that's gotta be points against them.

Oof. Yeah. I've avoided that game like the plague to this day. Destiny 2? Not in this house.

New Romancer. I love Brett Parsons art.

Also buy Empowered Soldier of Love. I think this might be the first time Warren has gotten someone else to do the art, but while I've never seen art from Karla Diaz before, she fucking kills it.

There is TONS of good Vertigo stuff. So many choices!

-Preacher (although that's a LOT of comics to collect. Plus the Absolute editions are so nice you might want to just get this physically)
-Clean Room (note: still ongoing)
-The Bachalo issues of Shade: the Changing Man (1-18 tells a good complete story)
-Death: High Cost of Living (short and self-contained)
- Grant Morrison's run on Doom Patrol (although that's a LOT of comics to collect)
-American Vampire
-The Invisibles (although that's a LOT of comics to collect, and there's not much point in only reading part of it. All or nothing.)
- Sandman Overture (nice and self-contained.)

Some people are of the opinion that they flubbed the ending a bit. That seems to be the case with a number of Vertigo books. DMZ and 100 Bullets especially.
I love the ening for Y personally at least the final issue
100 bullets was probably Azzerlello wanting it to be 100 issues or "bullets"

Is their any synchronization between the ComiXology sale prices, and the Kindle store prices?

I see the Scott Snyder sale is over, but the sale prices are still reflected on Amazon. I wondering how much time I have left to decide on Batman/Robin Eternal and if I bought all those Batman volumes, thinking they were on sale, for no reason because those are the discounted prices are the usual prices lol

And wtf at that Vertigo sale, there's SOOO MUCH

I wanted to check out Sandman and Preacher, but there are waaaayyyyy too many volumes to buy

Does anyone have Transmetropolitan on CMX? I'd like to replace my ratty old TPBs during this Vertigo sale, but some of the older stuff is not always scanned in at the highest resolution even if it's listed as "HD". If you've got it, how does it look?

You think? Imo the first five volumes were incredible (Dog Tribe was my favourite arc, and the double size colour issue :O), but the book never quite recovered from the absolutely huge delays that hit after Mitten dropped off and the extremely rough vol 6 that resulted. Greenwood is a good artist but I dunno, the book just lost a lot of it's magic after that. Mitten coming back for the end was good but if anything, I'd have taken less if somehow it could have negated those issues. I believe it wasn't cancelled btw lol that was where he was going with it. Now Umbral, the next book they did at Image, really was cancelled and literally just stops after arc 2 with no plot resolution whatsoever. Glad you enjoyed it though, it doesn't come up often, and I think it could have been one of the modern great runs with the potential it started with.

So I finished Remender's UXF for the second time. Just brilliant story craft. Loved it even more. One thing still escapes me: when did Deadpool lose his healing factor? Rereading the book and it happened some time between the end of Otherworld and the beginning of The Final Execution. I didn't catch it the first read and I was looking for it this time and I still didn't catch it, so I'm assuming it occurred in an outside book.
Is this still because Marvel has that hate-boner for FOX?
Doesn't really matter why. That's just the fact of the situation.
if I never see another 'innocent woman about to expose herself as creepy men look on' piece, it'll be too soon.
Certainly does seem pornographic.

Well Tess' work wasn't worth it anyways, so no love lost there (she's a fine artist, but not on Rat Queens for damn sure). But why try to bring Upchurch back? There's no way he didn't know that it would end badly.

Itdoes
i just gotten the impression it was based on a comment a while ago on gaf somehing you said about the end and how the "final chapter " had a page just telling what happened to everybody else and the final issue with the bunker where it feels it could have been it's own thing. Too bad. what was your problem with vol 6

Too bad about umbral it had a lot of potential too bad it ended, what happened to fuse again that was another book of his that i was meaning to get back to

Amazon UK are absolutely awful for inflating the price of trades. Sometimes £10/£20 overpriced. Thank god for third party sellers.
