Got a chance to read some comics last night. Grayson continues to be good. All-Different Hawkeye was alright. Not really a stellar issue but what can you do when you're following the book of the year
between issues
? Princess Leia was alright. Rat Queens had boobies. The real highlight though was Spider-woman. Awful cover, great book. Looking forward to more.

Have you read The Authority? Because so much of what makes Nextwave work is how much it's just The Authority but crazy.

We've been hearing about Convergence almost since they announced the Burbank move. It seems designed to scratch nostalgia itches. From an outsider to the Marvel stuff, Secret Wars seems like the biggest fucking cluster fuck of mashed together bullshit. I don't understand half the shit they are soliciting. It comes across as marketing gimmicks the books. Like who the fuck is nostalgic for Age of Ultron? Oh right. They have a movie coming out with that name. Whatever. Print it and ship it.

It's going to be fun seeing how many changes to align it with the MCU happen during the event.

I'm not enjoying Secret Avengers issue to issue, i need to go back and read it all from the beginning perhaps to better appreciate MODOK's story. Coulson's story has also dragged.

Notice that the people being eliminated are those that could threaten the most prolific poster in the thread? I'm not saying anything specific. I'm just asking questions.

He posted a gif simulating masturbation in the pornstars without makeup thread. Mods said it makes it harder for women to post in threads like those when people like Zombine are posting stuff like that. Apparently there were warnings before that. Anyone that quoted his gif got banned too.

I miss Mumei too but besada is also cool (I think Besada is our mod). Fairly sure he loves Harley Quinn too (I could be wrong)

Working at a pet store and seeing one in this month's issue of Harley is something. I know exactly how it feels trying to catch birds for customers like that.

Another fun issue. Really can't wait to read Starfire and the Power Girl / Harley mini.

I think, Ultimates Vol 1 and 2 show how superheroes would "work" in a modern, kinda real world setting at the most realistic way. Espescially how they are used millitary and are "created" with marketing teams working on powers and costumes and the whole genetic arms race cold war thing between the big states.

Are there other books, that go this route?

It looks like there are some absolute editions of the first series which is what matters. Vol 1 collects the Ellis stuff with Hitch (quick side note: would love to see these two work again) and vol 2 collects the Mark Millar and Quitely story arcs.

unless you can get the absolutes at a good deal, I'd go with the trades. I'm not sure how available either is in Germany though
