It's about a boy named Punpun kind of going through life. It's a very good series that captures all of the emotions everyone goes through as they grow up more or less. Obviously there's more to it than that, and it gets kind of fucked up-- but I think you'd like it a lot! Think there's going to be five or six books to collect the whole series.

it's all coming back to me...i checked Amazon past orders and i got it for $14.99. I might have gotten another ominbus during this sale, but that might have been it.

edit: I guess i also got Wolverine vol 1, Brubaker Daredevil vol 1 which i eventually sold since MILA!, and Ultimates which the binding is sagging :/ for $14.99 each too. Cleaned up decently.

Barnes and Noble has a deal where you can pick two HCs for $30. The Gundam HC volumes are included too, making that the best price I've seen on them. A few other decent picks too. (Invisibles deluxe editions, Fables deluxe editions, Blacksad, etc).

Those Gundam hardcovers are some nice volumes. I have all 12. 12 of them are very heavy.

So the pre-rebirth changes start tomorrow, Firestorm is going back to the original matrix set up of Ronnie and Stein. Clark is getting his powers back as well.

I almost kind of think that this was just the way the timing happened to work out considering that we've still got a couple of months before Rebirth actually hits, and the pacing fits just about perfectly with everything other than the start of Pak's run.

Also Clark got his powers back last week, read AC yo.

Super hyped for the next Batman issue, these last few have been sublime as fuck. Bruce back in the Cowl is gonna be a thing of fucking beauty.

I read AC but it was only three or four awesome pages. Still not sure about Super League, but here's hoping its good.

Any of you ever change your opinion drastically on a comic on second or third reading?

I am currently doing that with Astro City Dark Age. Never again am I going to call it a dip in quality. It is fantastic.

it baffles me how little we talk about comic related things (shows, movies, what have you) which would be fine in a "rhaknar this is the comic BOOK thread", but then the amount of wrestling / anime / videogame / whatever bullshit that happens completely kills that idea so...whut :eek:

My overall opinion of Fables is starting to wane. The last couple deluxe editions have been pretty rough. I'm going to have to reread them at some point, hopefully my opinion on them will change for the better.

I bought the Thors, Siege and Infinity Gauntlet battleworlds TPBs along with the SEcret Wars HC yesterday. I read that at least the Thors and Siege ones were good

its not the off tipic talk that I find weird btw, its the lack of comic book related stuff. I would think comic book enthusiasts would be more...enthusiastic about comic book related things lol :D

ComicGAF is more about the people to me than the topic of discussion. On a gaming forum, interests are bound to intersect, so it's not that surprising. We've always talked about whatever, I was just alluding to the fact that we were actually talking about comics for a stretch of several days. That's practically unheard of.
