I get the impression that gketter means overexposure in a short time span. It's one thing for long established, popular characters, vs those who appeared in a single movie and because of that they're crossing over with and appearing in anything and everything, regardless of whether it makes any sense or not.

Except that gketter compared Rocket and Groots overexposure to Wolverine, who is just as much as an "established, popular character" as Batman is.

I just found it funny someone proclaims overexposure when they (and two other posters) have one of the most overexposed characters in comic history as their avatar.

If there's a couple issues set in the Flashpoint universe by a decent creative team I may check it out, but otherwise I'll be skipping all of that.

It's been fun watching Hasbro wrestle with inheriting the Legends line from Toybiz. It's taken them 3 reboots to finally get to a good place with it. They put some money into it and made a bunch of new bodies (there's only 2 Toybiz legacy sculpts floating around now) that they can get multiple figures out of.

The movies have actually been a massive help with getting comic figures for once. They made fantastic Cap/Widow/Winter Soldier figures for the movie but that line also got us comic AIM and Hydra army builders, Baron Zemo, Red Skull, Marvel Now Cap and a SHIELD Mandroid.

I'm behind on this thread, but I saw this post and just wanted to mention that Marvel Legends are awesome and I have around 3. X-Force Wolverine and the Deadpool & Warpath pack. Thinking of getting one from the Guardians movie line or Black Panther if I can find it. Maybe Nova.

Haaa...

I honestly have not really paid any attention to all these Marvel teasers...
But this really interests me and excites me seeing those characters. Reminds me of when I was last into comics a while back.. when I was a youngin

Any link or info on this?

all these teasers are related to Hickman's Secret wars event and his avengers run. to what degree nobody knows yet.

Crisis on Infinite Earths was mentioned like yesterday or the day before and I had been thinking about it a bunch since then. It occurred to me while thinking about it just how much happened a few years after CoIE. 6 years after Crisis ended and they killed Superman, then a few months later the GL Corp was wiped out completely by Hal Jordan and a single lone NEW GL was all that was left. Then a few months from that you had them breaking Bruce Wayne's back and a newcomer wearing the cape and cowl. At some point in there you had Guy Gardner getting his DNA overwritten with Vuldarian DNA that was implanted in his bloodline and becoming a shape shifter. Then you had Zero Hour just what 8 years after CoIE that changed a bunch again.

They really just went crazy in the 90s.

I don't know just surprising to me how much they were willing to change after their first reboot in such a short time. We're half way to that same time period after CoIE in regards to N52.

Probably only interesting in my brain.

Really hope this leads to some new solo series, Shazam and Cyborg need them so badly. Haven't read any Earth 2 and Future's End recently need to get on that.

I'd love a Shazam book. I've been interested in him lately.

Yeah I haven't read much of those either,, a couple issues of Futures end and #1 of Earth 2. Probably won't be anytime soon they release a TPB or something eh?

Jesus man! So is your hobby buying comics as opposed to reading them? :p

My backlog is:
Chew vol 5

since I finished up Absolute Batman and Robin the other day.

Finish what's on your plate!

You guys with your crazy backlogs blow my mind. I have:

Judge Dredd Case files 03
The Life and Times of Martha Washington

I just grabbed Martha Washington over the weekend.

Shit, folks. I've been a lame member of Comics GAF. But check it, tomorrow I'll be fully joining the digital revolution. My Google Nexus 9 will be arriving and the first thing I'm doing is packing it full of my CMX library. I'm so stoked for my first tablet.

Was the Original Sin Thor & Loki tie-in book REALLY amazing or something, or should I just go ahead and make my November order tomorrow with the next batch of Hickman Avengers books? I can't wait to read them and I think I'd rather have them sooner than later.

Between work, games, comics, anime, and manga I only have so much time :(

I'm pretty amazed I was able to read through a all of Doom Patrol so quickly!

That Nova is fantastic if you can find it, every store is loaded up with Star-Lord and Nobody Asked For This GOTG Iron Man. (even though he's a pretty good figure)

Who's going to be playing CoD today???

I'll be a little bit quiet this week,, taking some classes for work out of town for the rest of the week,, I do 90% of my Gaf talk at work :/.. fuckers messing up my flow

Not sure I will even be able to pick up my books till Saturday.. Life is too hard.

One of the hassles of ordering books internationally is having to deal with local customs office. I made an Amazon order back in July and I just picked it up today. Customs held it for about a month without notice and charged me an additional $80 for picking it up.

At least they are here now.

Many I already own digitally, but I consider all of these my current backlog.
