Because Messi was the "embodiment" of what people thought you were on about (not necessarily what you meant, but what people thought you meant).

Messi took the handful of complaints about too much off topic and "waifu/Harley/girlyhijinks" as pointed directly at him and I guess took that as "Nobody wants me here anymore."
That's how I read the situation at least.

Anyways, Messi, if you're reading this, come back. We still like you. If you're not here, who's going to convince me to get into girly hijinks books?

Despite you not mentioning his name, Messi was known to talk about Harley Quinn and shooting the shit most of the time more than any other person in this thread. He has high post counts here and is usually the one that posts the most every month. Hell, he even admits to these things. You really don't need to name names, we know who you're talking about.

That was pretty much exactly how I envisioned doing it, too. So now if I try, it'll just be a pale imitation of that.

Haha. Sorry about that. When I changed it, I literally thought to myself "I'm making that 'Kipp was right' image obsolete on the day it was created. What a shame."
But I had committed to making this my avatar weeks ago, and I couldn't break said commitment. :p

But I was part of the problem also. I talked video games, shows, and posted statues and other things in here. I was just an observer of the current state of affairs and brought awareness to it. Family's fight sometimes. Everything is fine now. Everything can go back to a certain level of normal whatever that is.

But is "problem" the right word? Not to bring back up the whole debate, but I think there's a place for some off topic talking between friends, we just may have gone a little overboard in the past few months.
Although losing some members is really unfortunate, I will say that the posts over the past couple days since you reminded us to get back on track have been really solid and enjoyable (and not because of a lack of certain people posting, but rather because we've all become more conscious of the problem and stepped up our game).
Also, I think statues and figures and whatnot are perfectly fine if they're comics characters. Obviously that's just my opinion and it's perfectly fine if others disagree, but I feel that it's well within the topic of comics.

Back to comics, I've almost completed Gates of Gotham by Snyder and Higgins and it has been very enjoyable. Full write up when I'm done.

I loved "Marvel Team-Up" and "What If?" as a kid. I would spend hours dreaming up my own crossovers & alternate reality stories.
As I got more into manga, I always imagined how cool it would be for the Marvel characters to cross into the pages of manga worlds.
For many decades & multiple reasons, almost no manga, especially popular titles, crossed into other comic universes... until now!

I'm still here, and I'm still going to post what I want. I'll just be spending more time in a community that is far more accepting of other people's tastes versus having to vote for Batman as #1 every month if we don't want to have to deal with a tantrum about whatever bullshit that went on.

Will read it in the evening then. I've only read GOTG till issue 13 but have been reading spoilers other have posted here. It seems to have moved from mediocre to shit rather quickly.

Did you guys get Sergio Toppi's The Collector from Archaia? Every page is him just squashing comic artists minds. It makes you wanna break your hands as an excuse or something. The story is a bit so so but hot damn, so beautiful.
