I understand. I didn't dislike Uncharted 4, but the story started pretty slow and took about half the game to really get going.

Isn't it because that collection has both the colours from the single issues and the tpb recolour? It kinda makes sense to me why they would make two separate books if that's the case

I've been pretty lukewarm on Soule's run on Daredevil so far, but I really enjoyed the 2-part casino arc with Spidey. It felt very Waid-y. Did not care for the Elektra story much at all though. Equally a hit and miss trade for me, and both stories in the annual are pretty forgettable.

I have little interest in shooters these days, Overwatch got me good but i had already given up on Halo/Duties/Battlefield after i played 4 a lot. I disliked the aim movement in battlefield and i'm so used to Overwatch now, i am not sure about getting into another shooter. I'll rent them both eventually. I bought CoD Advanded Warfare cheap at a gamefly used sale last holiday and still haven't played it.

Huh. That does indeed seem to be largely what's going on. Should the single issue colors look THAT blurry, though, I wonder? Never read it in that format, but... not sure I'll be utilizing that part of the book(s), myself. But yeah, if nothing else, this proves I should look into what exactly I'm buying more carefully in the future rather than going "Absolute+Year One? Works for me!" while knowing nothing about what they're doing with the actual product.

Roughly 65% into Teen Titans by Geoff Johns omnibus. It's excellent. Also about 50% into the New Teen Titans by Wolfman/Perez Vol. 1 tpb. Also excellent. I love Perez art so much.

My PS4 started nicely then became an airplane turbine. But they're advertising the Pro as significantly more quiet. Extra size helps.

Maybe, Miller and Mazzuchelli and Richmond Lewis wanted Year One to feel really lo-fi in singles (newsprint, part of the Batman ongoing, using the colour limitations of the printing process at the time versus the "prestige" format for DKR and all the fancy stuff that entailed) but otoh maybe DC just fucked up the colours. I don't think the single issues colouring has ever been reprinted fwiw, though I'm not certain about that.

e: it being a fuckup isn't that unlikely actually. Not saying it is or it isn't but the 2012 hardcover used "corrupted, out-of-focus digital files, completely obscuring all of Richmond’s hand-painted work" according to Mazz

X-Men Apocalypse, i reached the point where the movie is officially off the rails. I was kinda liking it for a bit too.

I laughed my ass off aloud in the theater when that tagged part happened. Such a hilariously terrible scene.

In the comics? Depends. Drax used to be insanely overpowered, but he's gone down a lot. Ronan's a huge heavy hitter regardless and always has been. Really did him a disservice on the character front though

I've had my PS4 for two years and its always been pretty quiet. Sometimes you get a certain game that makes it sound like it's going to take off, but that's not the norm.

Yea I meant in the comics, I know that drax use to be amazing but got nerfed but idk which version the mcu was going for

Xpocalypse feels like another Hunger Games movie. But worse. It's just a jumble of x-men things.

Finished, such a weird movie.

It seemed like they were going for when he got nerfed. When he's still strong, but doesn't really get jacked until he's near Thanos. We'll probably see him get super jacked during Infinity War or whenever he gets the chance to go up against Thanos. As is, he's just sort of strong. Same with Gamora.
