I missed this by a page, but I like to dress up as an "inanimate" scarecrow and frighten small children. Then watch Poltergeist. I got lots of great decorations this year, should be a good one.

I'll probably grab both volumes along with Brubaker's Winter Soldier collection and his two volumes of Secret Avengers. Would have been nice if ALL of that stuff was collected in the omnibus volumes.

It's interesting that Storm and Logan are the only mutants on the cover and the Inhumans are featured prominently again.

They could change their origins all they want, but if they wanted them in the movies I'd imagine they would need to basically make them all new characters, name and all.

After Manhattan Projects, I have get into all of Hickman's Marvel and independent stuff. Shit is going to be brutal on my wallet.

A few years ago I blind bought the first volume of Empowered because someone on here told me it was a superhero parody thing, I was definitely not expecting what the book actually was.

Yeah, I still plan to get into it eventually (just based on all the praise it gets around here; I can imagine I'll be really wanting it after I read MP), but I need to delay the wallet pain for now. I took too much pain in October. Haha

Seriously, I was talking to tim in the process of fully coming around and having that "OH FUCK" moment with Hickman (and Pitarra). Manhattan Projects is easily the gateway book, for me, into the dude's work, and I'm only the first hardcover into the series.

So I've been trying to get ahold of someone at DCBS about the Batman Black & White Mignola Statue they have for preorder for a week now, and finally got a response.
"Hi Bobby,
This statue is an offered again item meaning that DC had extra in stock and decided to offer them again in Previews. Our distributor does not currently have them in stock and they do not have a current date as to when they will be in stock. However, since they offered it again in Previews, I would imagine it should only take a few weeks for them to fill. Once they fill, we would charge and ship your order."

DCBS website says, "The expected in-store date is: 11/12/2014". That seems hard to believe because every other place that you can pre order says it come outs in Jan/ Feb / March 2015. Trying to figure out when the hell ill get it/ and get charged for it

Since we all know Kipp is a terrible person and hated the Nightly News, I still highly recommend Pax Romana, the Red Wing, and A Red Mass for Mars. Pax Romana is especially great if you have any interest in history.

Seconding Red Wing and Red Mass. Pax Romana is high on my "To Read" list. For someone who seems to love telling massive, epic stories, Hickman makes a hell of a mini, too.
