Cool! Upgrading my other jason aaron thor trades to the three OHC'S so that ate up a fair bit of my marvel budget but think on the marvel side I'll be grabbing the new mighty thor book, Dr strange, the vision, spider gwen, old man logan and taking a chance on the extraordinary x-men. Maybe ANAD avengers if I've got a bit left over.
I think it'd take Capullo over Fabok but there not a ton in it, and I didn't read the darkseid war so I haven't saw his work on that really. Guess the double shipping is going to put the bricks to a good few artists in terms of what they can really achieve. A whole arc will need really good lead time with no editorial changing things around j the current schedule.
Happy September everyone! I think this is gonna be the month I get a tablet. I have a pretty decent digital collection from sales and humble bundles but rarely read any of them because it sucks reading comics on a computer or phone. Been eyeing a Zenpad s8, just gonna wait for a good price to pop up on ebay.
As to what I've been reading...

This is the only Rebirth title I'm currently following, and I contintue to enjoy it, Black Canary is great. Does it bother anyone else that Oliver almost never kills people though? They consistently make a point to show him using tranq arrows or shooting people in the leg etc.
I guess it'd be kind of against his character as an SJW but it still seems dumb that he can't just shoot someone in the head every now and then with a normal arrow.
As to what I've been reading...

Got a question: was reading some Injustice while I'm cooped up in the hospital, and I was at this part where Barry and Clark have a disagreement and brief fight after the death of a character important to Batman. Could The Flash take on Superman for real? Is the Speed Force that good? Although Barry does run off, the panels before gave me the impression he could have engaged further if he really wanted to do so.
If you haven't read Mike Grell's The Longbow Hunters series then that has a back to the basics Green Arrow that shoots to kill. It's also probably the best Green Arrow story I've read, although Year One, Lemire's run from mid-Nu52, this current run are all good as well, and the O'Neill/Adams stuff was also strong.

DC still has to play catch up even if they get the universe working right. Marvel is just better and better and it showing no signs of stopping. Unless this is sarcasm.......

Its the best Conan out there. If you can get a hold of the OOP Colossal Conan that's the best way to read it. Over-sized Cary Nord art is ACES.

Absolutely. The intro issue is fantastic but I thought Marcus getting to know some of them was a little clunky . His chat at the graveyard with the stoners, and his assignment conversation with Willie is just a little too cringe for me, but the acid trip issue is incredible, and it really gathers steam into the next volumes. Once everyone knows each other, Remender relaly gets a good handle on everyone's voice and dialogue. NO SPOILERS FOR VOL 4 THO GUYS

Yeah. I mean, I still think most of them are fine, but I don't get the same buzz I used to. I only saw Suicide Squad last week, up to a year or two ago I'd have been outside waiting before the cinema opened. I don't really enjoy movies that much anymore anyway.

Saga was nice this month. Things just keep getting worse for them, though.
Also, reading at work and didn't expect my screen to be filled with a penis. Guided view has never been so surprising! I guess Saga is a comic I need to read at home now... maybe?
I say maybe only because the guy right next to me waiting at the barber shop today was reading a porn magazine, and that magazine was provided by the barber shop. This country... He wasn't even discreet, eitherpages wide open towards the ceiling.

Kot would have found every hidden politically motivated deceit in this place then burned it to the ground, flipping us off as he backed away.
Basically an event comic that will end with the formation on a new JLA, and new JLA book by extension, likely a mix of the two teams? Maybe?
Event mini that going to last December-January and is only going to involve JL and SS books. One of the books spinning out of it will be JLA.
Seems next year we will have JL, JLA, and JSA.

Occasionally we convince someone to read a post about their book and respond to or like it on twitter.
Dan Slott hates us so that's cool at least. Honestly I think most of them are typically only exposed to OT comic threads so naturally they stay the fuck away from this place.
edit: Oh yeah there was also the CWII leak that originated here, that probably didn't make us any friends. Hey whatever happened to that dude?

Has JSA been announced or is that something that was just implied/hinted at? JSA is something I would be thrilled to see, particularly if they focus on character development/character interaction as they have done in the past.

I think they've out right said it will happen but it will be a part of some second line of books to start once Rebirth was successful. I thought DC had said something about some other announcement event similar to Rebirth? Maybe I just dreamt that. Reading too many comics right before bed.
Johns confirmed that JSA is part of the second wave that coming in 2017.
