Former Concord directorhttps://fandompulse.substack.com/p/former-concord-director-of-marketing
I thought anyone from concord was considered too toxic to touch... unless you're intentionally trying to kill all of Xbox. I do believe that, I see all the dummies being sent to work at xbox. Plus all of Azure got new offices, and xbox people got sent to the shithole. All this on top of the Ghostbusters actress being the Chief of Staff over there. Really seems like Microsoft is poisoning the entirety of Xbox and justifying its kill off. Oh well, sucks to be an xbox fan
Let's be real though. Sony likely snatched up all the worthwhile talent before nuking the studio.Yep
People act like studios are one monolithic entity.
The same people that made Concord made Destiny and other GaaS titles. They're clearly not all bad.

I’m sure Wizards of the Coast has spot ready for zer.The professor is still looking for a job, maybe she should start looking at california universities as a teacher of underwater transgendered women's basket weaving studies
The truth is people are aware of the witch hunts & dog whistling going on online so the weight of these targeted games & studios flopping isn't falling directly on the people involved.![]()
How would anyone with Concord on their CV even find a job in this industry, let alone at a competitor?
One would assume so.Let's be real though. Sony likely snatched up all the worthwhile talent before nuking the studio.
Bungie? Halo?Interview
Bungie: So, Pamela, Tell me about yourself?
Pamela: I use they/them pronouns.
Bungie: You're hired.
Damn it, now I have to fix the joke.Bungie? Halo?
What year is this?
Yep, can we just get Halo FPS back to the dude bros making it for the dude bros. Honestly, read the fucking room of who wants to buy and play the game. 343 went room to room to backroom to rooftops and never really knew who talk to and have a good time.Halo, at least the Holy Trilogy, is amongst my most favourite series of games. Since 343i began their tenure, with every release, I always think to myself: "well, we've finally arrived at the bottom - there's no way the next game can be any worse than this". And I take some kind of comfort in that, strange as it may be. And yet, every time a new game is in the works, they seem to invent new, previously unfathomable digging techniques, and continue ever downward. With Infinite, I was impressed - blowing half a billion dollars on an empty campaign and the worst live service game ever released is no easy feat. It cost them their company and what was left of their reputation. Standing amongst the ashes of the franchise, I really did think: "we've finally arrived at the bottom - there's no way the next game can be any worse than this". Once again, I was wrong - they've hired people with new, terrifying digging techniques, and they're ready to get to work. Time to buckle up - looks like we're going down.

No, it seems even Xbox aren't down to clown with the profThis isn't that professor thing is it?
Well they haven’t paid her 400m yet as far as we knowThis is even funnier than Concord Flop!
Yet they're ready to take the risk, this is even funnierWell they haven’t paid her 400m yet as far as we know
Risk of what exactly?Yet they're ready to take the risk, this is even funnier
At the same time pretending that they are much better than these loonies from reeee somehow. Some weirdo's on here are much too quick to assume someone's competency without knowing anything about them bar their last job where they were one of hundreds of people on a project.

I wonder what will be master chief pronoun
I wonder what raised this person above the others who applied for the job.
People need to realize the entire US AAA developer scene is one giant circle jerk.
panda-zebra see what I mean about Microsoft being bereft on quality?
While this is true, you gotta admit Concords marketing was terrible and this guy was "head of marketing" so.."Concord failed because literally all it's developers were untalented" is such a boring, unsophisticated view of how things work. Very childlike.
Sorry let me rephrase is; people need to realize the entire US AAA machine is one giant circle jerk. Does that pass your sniff test? Not gonna get into the semantics of developers vs marketers in regards to the success of a AAA game.Possibly the 8 years working at Activision on marketing COD and Destiny?
Probably after you realize a marketing lead isn’t a developer.
…because they hired a marketing professional with significant experience in marketing FPS games, including some of the industry’s most successful FPS?

There's something really disturbing about these threads.. Some weirdo's on here are much too quick to assume someone's competency without knowing anything about them bar their last job where they were one of hundreds of people on a project.
Concord would have been a huge project with so many people on board with budgets dictated at the highest level. Games take so long to make with them pivoting in different directions as the market shifts, pretty sure most people in game development have worked on at least one failure and it probably was not their fault.
