The end of the TMZ article about Drake showing up says Wayne is "stable and slowly improving"

Sounds to me like TMZ is trying to walk things back.

So he is at the hospital even though his tweet is not from the hospital area. I wonder if he actually "spoke" with anyone who said they spoke with him. Makes me think there is tons more to this story than meets the eye.

Is this another case of News Outlets trying to be first so no one knows what the fuck is really going on?

Not so far. Most outlets kept quiet for awhile. TMZ was the first to report and it's mostly a back and forth between Wayne's people and them.

EDIT- Beaten.

I can't stand Lil Wayne. Question-why should we care about a rapper that's in a hospital? What good has he done to society to warrant such news?

I pray none of your family end up in the hospital and you decided to tell gaf. I'll definitely be the dick to quote this and replace it with your family member.

I don't feel too much sympathy for the type of obnoxiously self-aggrandizing person who would boast to an audience that he fucked another man's wife. I certainly don't wish death on him or anything like that, but I understand why someone would have a lack of feels.

I'm conflicted. On one hand he's way too young to die, so I feel like I should be sad. But on the other hand I absolutely loathe the guy and everything he ever put out. I think I'll just leave it at that it's sad to see someone so young screw up his life this way, but I can't really be sad about any of this.

C'mon guys. He gave us Tha Carter III.
Yes, the album with one of the top 10 worst songs ever written (A Milli). Truly the man's a genius.

Bad example unless Lil Wayne is your dad.

Edit: Obviously feel bad for his kids, but thats about it.

Not at all, you may not like the guy, but saying "herp derp, why should we care that he'd dying." is completely BS. He doesn't have to be my father he's a human being, he means something to somebody out there so that's enough reason. There are a shitload of artists who have passed who's music I didn't like but still felt bad for their passing if only for their family and friends.

The hate is strong in here, most of his music pre-CIII varies from decent to great.

Hopefully the fact that TMZ has backpedaled from its previous headline bodes well for Weezy, although it'll all be for naught if he doesn't stop sipping.

All I've learnt from this thread is that I'm hopelessly out of touch with the latest movers and shakers in the world of Hip Hop.

for the same reason you care about when someone on GAF posts he has cancer or that his father died.

I mean personally I don't care when I don't know the person but it's the same thing(also called empathy). Just because Wayne makes shitty music doesn't mean he should be treated differently than some random ass poster you've never met.

What I think happened is that Kojima sent TMZ a Cgi video made in fox engine depicting lil wayne in a koma and they bought it and made the story.
