If it is a tournament you want then it is a tournament you shall get... And since it was asked on the official Counter-strike GO thread then the only logical thing to do is SETTLE IT ON SMASH!
I have my main account at badge that I haven't played on in a while. I am certain that I could get it up to top ranks however I am sick and tired of losing my badge over and over due to the group I play with. They're fun to play with but they don't know/care half the time about what to do. I have almost 400 wins on this account and I have only played with one person higher than a badge three times. I have like 1600 hours total on CS:GO.
My other "smurf" (lol) account is only one rank lower (double AK) because that's where my main would be with this group I continue to play with.
I was going to say you should play with me and my group but damn.. I'm way below you.. I'm a Nova 2-3. My group is around there. You would have better luck playing with people like Atsou. I would play with you if you ever want to. But I feel I would just bring you down.

God I hate steam community sometimes! I was top fragging on dust 12-6 in our favour. I'm holding A on my own and rear of team dies. I know there are two AWP's long so I jjiat hold behind boxes and wait for the push.
One guy comes short I take him out, turn and one AWP is pushing ramp. I take him out, I go to take the last AWP out whose pushing dink him and then die. My team then vote to kick me because I didn't clutch and didn't pick up the AK that I could have got from short.
However getting that AK would have given my position away and left me exposed!
I really hope they lost, I was totally carrying them at 21-7

people like that are annoying. what is that even going to accomplish? Nothing I hate more than people trying to blame a loss on someone else. Fuck off and look at what you can do to improve your game.
Don't get me wrong, I've gotten mad at teammates but I've never blamed the loss on them. most of those times if my aim wasn't so bad I'd probably clutch, or maybe I should have switched positions with them.
blaming others is for the weak minded people that are too afraid to criticize themselves.

I hate how it is always the dead dumbasses that does that. I called somebody out on that before. I told them, they can't talk. Bitch about yourself, because you died before me doing something stupid. I don't see you trying to win rounds, but trying to lose them.

Shit like this is so funny if your are on the other team. We played mirage yesterday and got slaughtered starting on T side. I believe the first half was 12-3. I mean yes, mirage can be quite CT sided but I didn't think we could turn this around. However, their best player was afk beginning with the 16th round and after loosing the first two, the other team decided it was a good idea to play with a bot rather than the guy going 22-6 or something in first half.
Needless to say we mounted a comeback and won 16-13.
Nice, I could never use that crosshair though.
Also dislike when the bottom fragger decides to start calling calling "strats" I say strats, usually it consists of "rush b" and then if I decide that I've just fully bought and I don't want to lose everything I get called "a noob" even when I go watch mid for people rotating, get three kills and then see all my team got killed in tunnels.

I feel your pain man. Yesterday I was playing with some lower ranked friends, and of course we get a few low ranked team mates. And every round on CT I had to tell them where to hold. They would always randomly pick a spot (one time A, the other B, the other time spawn...) and so we were always unbalanced on the map, which drove me crazy. Having to look more at my minimap to check and tell them to change positions is such a time consuming and frustrating thing. We still won though! Their T side was actually pretty ok.
This is one of my biggest gripes at the moment at Silver, people just randomly choose a site/spot... You can have one round where you are the only one goes B, 2 rounds later 3 others decide to go B. Another Issue is people are always pushing and not holding on CT if they have to wait for more then 15 seconds....... T sides are mostly pretty ok, but there is a lot of rushing going on. And on Dust 2 getting stuck in B tunnels is a problem if the CT's smoke of... It's also nice if you get 1 or 2 people that actually do basic call outs.
Overall I have to say the community is probably even more toxic then the DOTA community. The amount of slurs and rage in my few matches were amazing...
I will play with Gaffers, It just seems that most of you guys are at a way higher skill level, but will join the mumble server today if I find some time to do a few matches.

I'm a Nova 2 at the moment but since you're Silver I could introduce you to some Silver gaffers. But honestly most of the time I don't mind playing with silvers if they're at least half way decent. If you're a quick learner you'll start ranking up within a month. If not sooner. It took me a month to get from Silver 3 to Nova 3 before I had a slump, but now I'm slowly getting back.
What do you guys think of bringing sprays back in CS GO? I saw this thread on Reddit a while ago and thought it was a really cool idea of implementing them in the game

I'm actually surprised it isn't in the game yet as Valve could make a lot of money out of spray logos people would have to buy to fill up their spray cans.

Sprays are a staple of CS, just like skins. Sadly we have to pay.

A good chunk of us aren't nearly as good as our ranks would have you believe. That said I've had more fun playing with gaffers, even when our ranks fuck up the matchmaking, than I've ever had solo queuing with randoms.
