Crash Bandicoot remastered collection coming in 2017

Doesn't matter if it's a collection or not. All that matters is what they mean by "remastered" really. It could be a graphic's upscale or it could be different.

So all 3 together then, that doesn't fill me with hope that they'll all be getting the recent Ratchet and Clank treatment.

I do not understand why people want a new Crash in 2016...

Okay I know why. But...WTF is a new Crash in 2016? Just make the same old games but with new graphics? That would suck. How do you make Crash interesting in this day and age?

"From the ground up". There's no way you can just 'touch up' Crash 1-3. Plus, the fact Crash is voiced by Jess Harnell in the Skylanders content suggests he'll be doing the remasters, and I gotta say, Jess Harnell wasn't in no fuckin' Crash 1, 2 or 3.

I mean, come on guys, they put up graphics behind Shawn. Those clearly weren't fucking Crash 1-3.

I know posters are ready to dance around what will be a dumpster fire of a topic but "remastered collection" still does not say exactly what these Crash games actually are, outside of it being a collection of games.

Is it coming to other platforms? Something was said about "first on playstation", wasnt sure if he was talking about Skylanders or the collection

Well it's something and shows that Activision will at least budge on the IP.

Imagine if they just presented the Skylanders expansion though lol.

Do people actually think they are gonna sell Crash 1, 2, and 3 with slightly uprezzed graphics and call it a day? It makes no sense, especially when you can find them on the storefront since forever.

From the ground up means they probably won't be using original assets. And there's a new voice dude (as someone said above).

Going to post in this thread once as I am expecting the flood of hate comments coming in shortly. But, I see this like the Mario All Stars Collection; same core games but with better visuals and sound. And even then, they could do a lot more then that too; fixes from Crash 3 migrating to 1 and 2 (box count total), save system from Crash 2 working in Crash 1, some cut levels from the three games being restored, extra features like unlockable skins for Crash to wear (different designs across the years), and more.

Looking forward to this and I'm sure with Sony having some role in the games production, they will do a lot to ensure it lives up to fans and gamers expectations.

And there it is. Absolute garbage.

There's nothing garbage about Crash 2 and 3.

Like I said in the other thread, I'm actually kind of relieved they're starting with remasters. Activision don't know how to make good Crash games, it's better they bring what did worked forward and then maybe whatever studio is doing the remakes/masters can learn from that process. Also fix Crash 1.

Remastering the first three games seems like a good idea. I'm especially ready for Crash 2, the best one.

Secret truth. Crash 3 got a little too experimenty, Crash 2 is the sweet spot.

Sounds good. Glad it's a collection since they are calling it some kind of remaster.

Probably testing the waters for more.

It makes sense in a business standpoint if you're trying to reintroduce Crash to a new crowd.

I actually expected this to happen to be honest. I'm not even complaining, still counts as something new anyway.

Isn't Crash's only line in Crash 1-3 "whoa"?

This. I think they're definitely going to do something extra as these are PS1 games.

Some concern is fine until they specify how big of a remastering the three are getting but inb4 the hate posts...

These are great games.

Again I can ALREADY PLAY THESE GAMES ON PS4. Remasters are glorified ports, and they're being done by Activision. Nothing to see here.
