Haven't tried this yet myself. Will try later.

Always cloak when running out in the open and when you think you can escape while getting shot from behind. I always see people afraid to cloak and sprint at the same time but you really need to use both often.
I don't get flickering with xfire if MSAA is turned off.grendelrt said:What a complete cop out by ATI, telling customers to rename EXEs....
BTW you said you get no flickering in your xfire setup, can you PM me your config file in text? Or can you email it to me?

With 4xMSAA I do get flickering so I have to choose between xfire or MSAA.
However, the issue may have been resolved - see above - I haven't had time to check.

Out of no where? or did you just do something with the game and or your display driver?Lostconfused said:Ugh for some reason the game just became letterboxed on my monitor. I have no idea why or what am I supposed to do to fix it.
It happened after I installed the new nvidia beta drivers. Anyways for some reason I could never get the option to have the video card scale the image to work before. But for some reason it works now so that fixed my problem.MickeyKnox said:Out of no where? or did you just do something with the game and or your display driver?
Speaking of those beta drivers, I love the 500% increase in performance for Dragon Age 2. That is hilarious beyond belief.Lostconfused said:It happened after I installed the new nvidia beta drivers. The best part is that its more or less true.jackdoe said:Speaking of those beta drivers, I love the 500% increase in performance for Dragon Age 2. That is hilarious beyond belief.
Ah. I wish there was some way to apply MSAA through Inspector without crippling one's system. :\MickeyKnox said:PostMSAA is the vaseline filter, the edge AA only applies to foliage.
Hmmm, I haven't checked it in a while, but nVidia's scaling used to work in XP but stopped working when I upgraded to Win 7. Maybe they finally fixed it (over 2 years later).Lostconfused said:It happened after I installed the new nvidia beta drivers. Edit: I was playing at 1600:900 so I could get 60fps without dropping other settings down. The other resolutions worked fine but the 1600x900 1680x1050 all produced weird scaling errors for me. But again for some reason video card scaling started to work and solved the problem.
Just tried this. Doesn't work at all and it introduces graphical glitches.Retail box owners:

This is blasphemy in my eyes, especially when it comes to Crysis 2. It makes everything look like it's animating so well, like it's a much higher framerate. I love well-done motion blur and I think that Crysis 2 has the best implementation of it that I've ever seen, and I'm just on PS3._tetsuo_ said:No motion blur, Dennis?

I wish we had more elements of the MGS style story, Characters showing a large array of emotion, less gun pointing, more actual conversation that pushes the characters forward, or even better something like the original crysis 2 trailer when the helicopter goes down while the Cepth are crawling all over it and the soldier blows himself up. I was hoping for that kind of a vibe from the rest of the game. Maybe Crysis 3?

Do note that I have the Hud disabled in that config, it's the last item on the list, get rid of it if you still want the hud although it really helps the game not to have all that visual clutter.
Funnily enough, Crysis 2 pulled an MGS_tetsuo_ said:The MGS 4 crawl scene was dumb, because everything it built to accomplish was thrown away 5 minutes later with the lolnanomachine injection. Keep that stupid game away from my Crysis, thank you.
I hope they do, I'm craving more single player already. Finished it on the difficulty before post-human, went back and played the more open sections in post-human until I got all the suit upgrades (which took a while, most of the levels I liked had human enemies) and now I want more more more. If they had the tools out I'm sure we'd have already seen some fun invasion/wave arena score attack modes that utilise the multiplayer maps and key campaign sections in good ways at the very least. Critiquing the narrative impact of a video game is like arguing about the acting in a porno.jackdoe said:Kind of.The MGS4 crawl scene was long, depressing, and pissed me off a few times (which means that it did its job). The Crysis 2 crawl scene was short, uneventful, and lacked impact (which can be said of the entire last level).
