Wish I had the PC version. Really gotta build me one of them latest gaming PC's.

Playing on 360. Pop up and inconsistent framerate FTL. Oh well, fun singleplayer so far.

Played about an hour on the pc and so far the singleplayer is way better than expected.

The general gameplay is more confined than the orginal Crysis but there still are plenty of options for the player to direct the action. The general soldiers in the beginning are pretty dumb if you approach them closely in any way, but when you stay back you can begin to see the ai grouping up and find ways to flush you out while staying behind cover. The aliens ai was a nice surprise they move around the terrain fast enough that they are constantly surprising me and animate really well while moving around.

Overall the game looks fantastic but the textures don't seem to hold up to well when you are looking at them closely. I'll look at the giantbomb quicklook later to see how the console version compares but from my experience so far everything screams developed for the consoles. Except for the in game weapon options and character development I don't really know how that would work with a controller.

Anyone else getting audio levels blasting out your headphones after a online match? The music gets so loud. Like twice as loud as any other music in the game.

odd, I had that problem in the PS3 demo a couple of times, it was like the music was being over driven, it sounded distorted through my amp.

Yes thats the same problem for me. Its always after the end of the match it starts blasting the music.

Everytime I click "multiplayer" it asks me to input my CD-key...so I do that. Then I try to join a server and I get an error message saying "Serial code is currently in use." The fuck?

Campaign is awesome so far. Much more sandbox combat than I was expecting. While I'm not against the art direction for the aliens and their tech (and actually think it looks quite cool), I am a little put off by their drastic change from the first game. Not sure why they went with the red highlights instead of the prominent blue from Crysis 1. Maybe there's a cannon explanation later in the game, I'm not that far yet.

Pretty sure theres a glitch going on with the sound mixing. Wasn't this bad during the demo.

I wonder if that has anything to do with the beta leaking with a keygen.

Just got my PC copy in the mail today (Amazon release date delivery is great, and the $10 bonus on my next purchase isn't bad either!). I'm playing it on an i950, 16gb of Ram and a GTX470 with Nvidia3D vision in 720p on my projector (about 120"). It runs butter smooth on extreme settings and I am freaking loving this game. One of the best 3D experiences I've had so far in an FPS. The game is also one of the best looking games I have ever played. I tried the Xbox360 SP version but the aliasing bothers me too much. The aliasing was also my only major complaint with Killzone 3's graphics as it was a beautiful game otherwise.

I am also very happy to see that there's alternate paths everywhere and while it's more linear than Crysis 1, the areas are designed so you can tackle them in so many ways. Level design is absolutely top notch.

Two hours in so far, don't have a lot of time to game during the week, and it really is an amazing game. And it really does 3D so well using the Nvidia driver as the option. Much better than for an example Bulletstorm.

Going to pop out of this thread but just wanted to leave my impressions! This game really deserved a better OP than what it got... This is a great PC game.

Just played this for about 4 hours, and I don't think I'm even half way done. Holy shit, this game is awesome. Graphics are better than I thought, and the gameplay is so damn fun.

So glad I decided to pick this up.

Can someone tell me where the hell on mycrysis.com you're supposed to redeem this code? Maybe I'm functionally retarded or something here, but I don't see anywhere to do so.

I can't get multi-player up either. Every time I log into the game it asks me to re-enter my serial code and then I get the serial code already in use error when I try to join a game. It wouldn't be so bad if it didn't ask me to fucking enter my serial code to access multi-player every single time I rebooted the game.

Yeah for sure. The single player demo would actually sell the game.

If EA could have gotten a SP demo out I'm sure they would have. It has been proven that good demos sell games. Obviously the schedule to wrap the game up was far too hectic for Crytek to have split Perforce (or whatever they use) and split the workload so they could firefight the end of the game and get people a demo.

The reason why they don't delay the game for a demo is because the marketing money and window is done months in advance of the actual ship so if you miss your predetermined marketing date you get absolutely fucked and then have to firefight the public's release date expectations.

It is unfair to call EA marketing people monkeys considering that one thing EA knows how to do above all else is market games. They were probably dying for something better than the MP demo to excite the public. I know I was turned off by it. Who knows if a single player demo in such a rough state would have done more damage.

Some funky as hell physics for the first level. I can't use melee and I'm catapulted across the level when I'm hit. Weird ass glitch.

I've been having issues with melee on the PC version. It will occasionally cease to work at all, and I have to close/restart the game to get that command to work again. Once it affected sprint and crouch at the same time as well.

EDIT: This last time it still isn't working after restarting the game.

I'm tied between the PC and 360 versions. My PC isn't shabby, but it's not exactly top modern. I'll be playing the PC version with a controller, by the way.

i7 2,4 ghz
6GB memory
GTX 295
Vista 64-bit

Anyone with similar setup?

Don't even think about getting it on the 360. Get it on PC and use your 360 controller, it'll be fine. I plan on using my controller too.

That system will eat through Crysis.

Dead

well not really...yet
Just put in 2 hours and beat the first 2 missions. Went to see the Mission replay screen and noticed that there are
19
total missions. @_@ If the game remains as open as its been at the beginning, this is going to last a long ass while.

And man, it feels so good to have some freedom in a fps again. Washed the taste of Killzone 3 right out of my mouth. Awesome, awesome game.

The hell! Your PC is pretty powerful. Get the PC version.

It didn't run the original Crysis THAT great, to be honest. Could be the SLI messing up? The sequel seems to be a lot more forgiving!

it runs better than Crysis 1 and Warhead.

i'm amazed you're actually contemplating the 360 version with that pc.

I'm not hugely into PC gaming anymore. I have this OCD that I must run games at the maximum settings, or else I start to freak out. That's why I switched over to consoles, because there I won't have that problem, even if the console version may look worse. It's lame, I know, but that's how it is.

Metro didn't run that well (on max settings) and I want to be sure C2 runs great.

you should get over that problem you're having. that's madness.

the console versions would be worse looking than the pc version on the lowest setting.

Think, I am ready for next gen. Playing it on PC Extreme and graphics are good I guess, but nothing really "WOW"ing me. And, I prefer it with X360 controller for single player. Sure, it's way less precise then mouse, but button layout are more easy to handle. On keyboard, kept on messing up E (stealth) and R (reload).

Your system will chew through the PC version. Crysis 2 is highly optimised. Probably thanks to having console versions to begin with, and not really actually being much of a visual upgrade to Crysis (1) lol.

On the plus side, you don't have to refinance your house to play it on MAXIMUM SETTINGS.

But that's only because this time around maximum settings aren't that maximum lol.

I had a Best Buy gift card burning a hole in my wallet, so I picked up the 360 version today, and boy am I glad I did.

After 5 or so hours, I'm a little past the halfway point of the campaign, judging by the number of chapters-- it's so wonderful to play a lengthy single-player FPS in this age of seemingly progressively shorter corridor-crawling shooters. The beginning of the game does drag on somewhat when you're fighting the semi-retarded CELL mercs, but as soon as the space-squids start making up more of the enemy forces the game really hits its stride. Switching up between the core suit abilities is a lot of fun, and the combination of superpowers, liberal amounts of vertical combat, and wide array of explosive ordnance makes this feel a little bit like a Crackdown FPS. Which makes it certifiably awesome.

Lots of praise has been heaped upon the graphics, all of it well deserved. It's in a league of its own on the 360 and it slightly stuns me that hardware that's coming up on 6 years old is able to produce visuals of this caliber.

Picked up the 360 version this morning, played about three hours worth thus far. So far I like it a lot, felt really badass kicking a taxi over three commandos. The open areas are really daunting though, sometimes I feel like I could explore a little more instead of cloaking, stabbing, then eventually getting into a massive firefight.

Also, silenced shotgun for MAXIMUM DAMAGE. Now with an awkward haircut I can finally be Anton Chigurh!

The games visuals/animations look better and runs better than Crysis:Warhead with the levels being the same size.

Even comparing this game to Metro 2033(best looking corridor shooter PC game) it looks better cause the animation sucks in Metro.

I'm about 4 hours into the game and really is amazing what they have done. I cant wait(I hope) to see what the mod community does along with DX11 support. Hopefully by this summer.

ps3 version.

having never played crysis ( peasant ) this game is pretty stunning. i've gotten to the first alien encounters.. the gameplay is really starting to shine. the controls and the way alcatraz moves through the world are something special. loving it.

also, i've seen some frame drops but but it plays/looks great on ps3 for those on the fence.

Why would you even have to ask?

If the game was designed around the MKB I would use it. It is severely obvious that it isn't. Furthermore, try the pad and pay attention to the rumble. It is immaculate.
Couldn't you just play with Mouse and Keyboard with a 360 controller in your lap?
