Crysis 2: PS3 performs better than 360 version

Not really console makers will get a good cut thus leading to more money for sony and m$ to fund superior console games.

This is all assuming crysis even sells well on console.

Why do you always go the extra mile for the $? Isn't it easier to type an 'S'?

Anyone who brings up Ghostbusters or Haze into the conversation is just a bonehead looking to make an irrelevant point to support his pointless view. And why is anyone surprised Crytek is actually getting their hands dirty with the PS3? First and foremost Crytek are selling an engine for cross platform development. And what's the best way to show off the capabilities of your brand new engine? By making a cross platform game that is so good that it sells the engine. When Crytek say they've raised the graphical bar I'm inclined to believe them because they actually back up the talk.

why the developer of haze is working on this game. Crytek isn't really the exemplary pc developer either. I would say they are on the level of monolith software.

A game running better on a a more powerful console when it's built from the ground up for that console. Who'da thunk it?

The console version has achievements and trophies.
CONSOLE VERSION SUPERIOR VERSION C O N F I R M E D.

Talk is cheap. We'll see how it turns out...
From what I've seen in the trailers so far, the framerate on PS3 gets a bit iffy at times.

A think framerate issues can be given the benefit of the doubt when it's 6 months before release.

mircosoft are money hungry bastards who wouldn't even let me take my CC off of live. so yea fuck M$.

Alan Wake needs to hurry the fuck up though.

PC version might look awesome, but at the same time, will it get more than 10% of sales? 15%? So not sure who is going to be laughing there.
Dexvex said:
Thats a great point actually. Pc snobs might get the best version but sony and M$ definitely will have the last laugh.

CONGRATULATION

You have made the worst fucking shit posts of 2010!

You know, that Dragon Age game did kind of okay on PC. And by kind of okay, I mean better than it did on both PS3 and 360.

Companies like to gain money. That's the whole purpose of a company.

PC gamers experiencing the best version of the game, obviously. ^_^

Graphically? You'd better believe it. When your game kicks you out because your ISP momentarily lost your internet connection and your Ubisoft-style PC DRM decided that you're up to no good, it's great to know that your version looks better. Or at least, it would. You know, if it was possible to play it, that is :D

Crysis isn't published by Ubisoft.

It looks like you have another award to hand out, Emcee.

Sure, if you care about sales, personally, I don't. The installbase analogy was just to draw the parallel of fighting for second place when first place is already so defined.

not sure how would crytek define the winner here... we will see when the game comes out.

I'm a member of the console peasant race and I can tell that you're full of shit.

Another one with the ghost busters crap. You really are dishonoring the Crytek people with your post. These aren't some no name devs so deal with it.

Rat Salad, publicly apologize and cancel your purchase of Crysis 2 for Xbox 360 or you can kiss your NeoGAF credibility goodbye.

I think he's talking about C&C4.

I don't know anything about C&C4 though, just what I read on destructoid.

Oh right, I totally blocked that abomination from my mind.

Still, Crysis' single-player is a huge draw with the multiplayer secondary, and given the marketing push EA is going to give I doubt they're crazy to go the Ubisoft route for such a game.

Is that a polished turd up there? A golden polished turd?

Anyway, does this mean that all future hands-on press events and videos showcasing the new Crysis on consoles will now be equally representative of X360 and PS3 footage instead of favoring X360?

To relieve the stress of the Crytek PS3 developers Swordfish style? Crytek has 550 employee's and you're bring up 1 person? Really?

Right.

i can't wait for crytek to be amazed by console development just like they were with far cry

with such hot exclusives like crysis: instincts, crysis: instincts evolution, crysis: instincts predator, and crysis: vengeance only for consoles (and iPhone), looks like console gaming will have the last laugh.

Haha How am I getting too serious? I'm not the one who's butthurt over this silly ps3 performs better than 360 article. :lol As I said, crytek is trying to sell their game engine. Just wait until the game comes out.

Why?

I enjoyed the gameplay in the first game and in Warhead.

I was more talking about how people need to makes threads over stuff like this. Though it is a pretty funny read.
