What does that say about Cyberpunk if I experience higher effort world activities in B-grade Assassin's creed?

lol okay and how many uninspired padded quests did you do in valhalla? why did you even buy it first of all?

if you were really about the shits, you wouldn't even look at valhalla as a viable game to buy, we're clearly already two different types of gamers considering the fact that you even bought that shit.

The axe in the head guy isn't much different from randomly finding a dude who got a burning cyber-VD and needs you to drive him to a Ripper doc, I expect more random encounters like that in Cyberpunk, personally :🤷:

"Cyberpunk 2077 is an open-world, action-adventure story set in Night City, a megalopolis obsessed with power, glamour and body modification."

I believed you that it said that there. But theuve also stated verbally, in huge promotional videos, that this is an rpg.

Surely you know what im talking, unless you were already so disinterested in the game you didnt even look at those vids lol

You can add incredibly designed multilayered open world city.
And you are trying to claim thats not enough???

Why are people suddenly so fucking obsessed with random NPCs having multiple lines? How many times did you actually try to talk with them in GTA V? Once? Twice?
If GTA 5 actually had good gameplay instead of random NPCs with multiple lines maybe I would play it more...

Whats multilayered about the city? I may as well be looking at fucking brick walls everywhere

and those games are far worse than cyberpunk
lol
I think you have this confused with AC valhalla, Call of Duty, Watch dogs. because literally no one agrees with the take you just made, so you're delusional. I guarantee you wouldn't be good at making anything game related.

because when people come over to your place, and ask you:..."hey show me whats so cool about these new games you guys play" you say "say no more, let me show you....prey" lmao

anyone with sense would show cyberpunk instead because it is straight up more impressive, and the people would agree. how many young potential gamers did you turn away throughout your deluded life because you have shit taste? you don't even know what's decent, what keeps people interested. you'd be terrible at making anything lol.,

bringing up prey when nobody gives a fuck about that game lmao there's a reason nobody was talking about it. meanwhile cyberpunk sits at 90 metacritic despite bugs, and breaking sales records. yet im deluded. let me guess, they were all just hyped lmao
If I was show a great impressive open world I would show RDR2, hell I would show the 7 years old GTAV, Cyberpunk is way down the list, score so high because of hype and CDPR legacy after GOTG tier The Witcher 3, yet will not hold that 90+.

Soooooo impressive, next gen stuff, incredible

Damned if they do, damned if they don't. I guess it was supposed to be perfect. I like it well enough so far. I guess I could nitpick all day and be on a mission to find faults, but I am trying to enjoy myself when I play games. Seems lots of people play games for different reasons. Life must be pretty good if you are worried about faults in every game not meeting your impossible standards. So far this game is about 80% recommended on Steam with over 100,000 reviews in just a few days. That alone is impressive if you ask me. So many games come out and get mixed recommendations out the door and if you are lucky, they get patched and cleaned up and maybe become a decent game in a year. I would say this game is decent out the door and will be great in a year. Add in some community mods and it could be awesome. I am looking forward to playing more of the game and seeing what patches and mods can do for it in the years to come. Some of you say you hate it, but I bet you keep playing it and will come back for more.

What a shock, a redditor is lying.

I can't speak for the human police npc, because I don't fuck with them, but the bullet points about the npc in cars is garbage. I've chased people out with my gun, I've been run over by NPC's if I cross their paths, and have seen them drive around me. Why are you trying to gaslight us with lies about a game we are currently playing?

Also, if you start a crime, you are chased by drones, and eventually robots(though I only think that exists in the corpo areas.) I don't know how the police react in the outskirts

There is a lot of others example like the one I posted on youtube, I have recorded gameplay with the same problems, I can't believe people can see this and downplay or negate, enjoy the game as much as you want, everyone is free to enjoy anything, but don't change the fact this is unacceptable in 2020 by a huge developer.
Imagine if was a Ubisoft game.
Also, has anyone ever being chased by police while driving? I never so far.

This video sums it up pretty good. Night City is a soulless city, the stupidity of the AI is next level. Never seen anything like it.

CDPR: "We dropped the 3rd person mode in favour of first person mode only for that ultra realistic immersion, also we created the most useless AI ever seen in a video game before" Welcome to Night City Choombas!

Yeah, it's too bad. I mean, I kind of expected it after The Witcher 3 where there was no meaningful interaction with NPCs whatsoever, but I was kind of hoping they would figure out a way to make the crowds feel more lifelike (like at least Oblivion level) in the intervening years. Night City is still a really impressive environment that I'm having fun exploring, but the NPCs being nothing but window dressing couldn't be more apparent and that's disappointing.

okay, new morning, and I'm going to approach this differently lol

I like rockstar, so i'm not even going to shit on those games. because i think they're great.

But how exactly would you "showcase" cyberpunk in comparison to those games? would you try to go up to every NPC and do the same with with RDR 2 and GTA in comparison? that's not even how this game is intended to be articulated.

GTA and RDR are great. but there's a reason why they generally can't have gameplay demonstrations or anything like that when they show pre-release footage or trailers because the mechanics and mechanisms aren't THAT deep. not a knock on the games, but that's just not what it is.

hence why GTA is actually in my experience a difficult game to just "show off" because it's a game you kinda have to play through to understand why it's good.

whereas if you were to say, re-enact waking up in V's apartment, go into your gun room, get a video phone call, go downstairs and into the populated futuristic city, meet jackie and go do say...the maelstrom mission and showcase the choices and compelling scenario. I'm sure...that would impress your friends more. Just as we were impressed when saw it for the first time, and those moments are as advertised in the game. that's what this game is about....

messing with the NPC's and trying to compare that interaction with GTA isn't what cyberpunk is about, that's like me doing a mission in RDR2 and GTA and saying "this sucks, look how little choice I have, im just on rails" (funny bc you mentioned that the heist mission was on rails when you could argue the same for any GTA mission) it's like calling the mission in GTA IV where you go on a gay blind date "on rails". no it's a fun and creative mission...when GTA or cdpr does it.

it's also interesting how you bring up the witcher 3, when Cyberpunk and the witcher 3 are good at the same things. if you were to expect the same level of open world interaction in the witcher 3 in comparison to GTA you'd be dissapointed, because that's not what the witcher 3 is prioritizing. you'd compare the quests, choices, and RPG elements. similar to what Cyberpunk is good at. why are you holding cyberpunk and the witcher 3 to different criterias when they clearly are aiming for similar things?

question, did you expect to hold a conversation with every NPC? the witcher 3 never did that either...im confused why you guys aren't using deductive reasoning to expect the same things that made the witcher 3 good?

it's like you guy's mind is just making up your own game in your head of what you want, and not taking a realistic look at whos making it what their strengths are.

It's clear you haven't played it at all. Why are you here

8 million copies sold day one

One hit wonder. 🤡🌍
When a game sells well at launch based on the good name of the developer (or franchise) you can't really claim that it sold well because it's a good game. In fact, I am hearing that they lied about the quality of the PS4 and Xbox One versions. They are so bad that they shouldn't have even been released in their current state.

I hope the love affair that gamers have with CDPR is coming to an end.

The 90 metacritic seems to state pretty definitively that it is a good game, no matter how many people want to endlessly talk about bugs. If your hoping people stop enjoying CDPR games, you are in for a rough time

this game could hit 10 million copies sold before Christmas. they are not a “one hit wonder” by any definition

I hear that 90 on metacritic is only for the PC version and that they didn't send out any review codes for the console versions. I also hear that they told reviewers to not use their own footage of the game in their reviews.

Do you support that behavior from them?

While the state of lastgen versions is terrible and they should have canned those versions, fact remains that minority of Cyberpunk players will play those versions. 59% copies sold are on PC, and of those with consoles, many are on nextgen or will wait for nextgen. If CDP keeps working on the game, which they will, their reputation will be restored. It did take a hit now though, that's for sure.

There are alot more PS4's and Xbox One's out there than next gen consoles and apparently you need a pretty beefy PC (which most people don't have) to play this well. So I don't agree that the minority will be on last gen consoles. I believe the majority will TRY to play this game on last gen consoles and those players will get a terrible experience and waste their money.

Further, CDPR were pretty dishonest during this launch and I think that should harshly count against them. Letting this kind of behavior go is how we get the EA's of the world.

EA never made the games CDPR made, nor do they ever intend to. Nor would they ever intend on pushing the medium forward, nor would they ever intend on having free support or expansive DLC.

this is not the same, nor did it have the same intent.

not to be an asshole, but seriously if you are playing this on console, and apparently like gaming enough to be on a message board. I'd expect you to own a PC by the time half life 2 first came out. what were you doing around that time? just looking at that game and shrugging your shoulders?

I said in the post you quoted that I expected it after The Witcher 3. The lack of interactivity with TW3 NPCs was a big disappointment for me in that game. Places like Novigrad did not feel like big bustling cities as a result.

Since this game is all about one big city and they went first person and a more Deus Ex route for the gameplay, I had hoped they would improve on this element, but all they did was increase the bugginess by giving everyone walking routines.

It's not going to ruin the game for me or anything, but it's one element that feels really disappointing especially in light of how much insane effort and craft went into building the city environment.

It is irrelevant how many lastgen consoles there are when they are on their way out and gamers enmasse know it. I was talking about specific sales numbers that were already made public. On PC the game runs well without a beefy PC after adjusting the settings, it scales pretty well.

I agree CDP fucked up by releasing lastgen versions in this state and not being upfront about their state. But it is not a mistake impossible to rectify. And they will rectify it.

So lets get this straight:

- First "reviews" were not allowed to talk about console performance or image quality, the day before the game went live
- First "reviews" were not allowed to show any footage of them playing the game, only footage provided by CD Projekt
- Reviewers/Websites/YouTubers were OK, with calling these impressions as "REVIEWS", when realistically, they were "marketing previews"

So basically these so called journos, who are responsible for giving everyone their honest opinion, were in league with CD Projekt to preserve pre-order sales, knowing full well, these were not "reviews" but "marketing previews". Now the truth is out, and millions of copies have been bought digitally, they cannot be refunded.

This is the problem with so many reviewers want their "free" game, and get early access, they compromised their values to give a very misleading "review" of the game, which were not really "reviews", as the conditions imposed by CD Projekt could never allow them to give a proper review.

A very state of affairs by both a gaming company, and all those in the business of providing "reviews".

Cyberpunk 2077, Reviews
90% - Metacritic
9/10 - IGN.com
4/5 - Eurogamer

Cyberpunk 2077 PS4 "User Scores" Metacritic now: 2.4 with 3273 having rated it.
Cyberpunk 2077 X1 "User Scores" Metacritic now: 3.0 with 1101 having rated it.

Yes, welcome to video game "journalism." It's access media and you play along or get blacklisted and lose your livelihood unless you're one of the lucky few personality-tier who can get people to fund you on Patreon, etc. Gaming media are freelance marketing groups and hype men, basically, and it will never be a legitimate journalism profession, because video games just aren't that important. Legitimate journalism is basically dead anyway.

How will they rectify it? Will they offer refunds to everyone who bought it for the last gen consoles?

You know the answer. They will keep patching it until it's in a somewhat acceptable state, but by then the game will be readily available for $40 or less and everyone who bought it at launch will have been screwed over.

Agreed, they basically stole the money of PS4/XboX One buyers.

am i the only one who can care less about the console players lol i mean i get it, it sucks it's not the same experience as PC (nor should it be)

but if you're this far in the game and don't PC game at all, and don't recognize which games should be played on what, then you don't like gaming enough to get a proper gaming PC anyway. you just aren't that into it in the first place lol

I play both when its appropriate, what's these peoples problem?

I own both consoles lol they all have their merits.

but to look at certain titles and not be inpired to play them on the platform they were meant for tells me you dont like gaming that much.

when I first saw half life 2, I did whatever i could to play it. I was 13 lol and I made sure i got a PC that could play it. the other people that just looked at titles like that in 2004 thought it looked amazing but STILL didn't bother? you dont like gaming that much.

This pc elite attitude is so shit. The game plays pretty well on next gen consoles as well....playing on PS5 and largely no issues.

That still doesn't excuse the shit show it is on last gen consoles for everyone else

look at the post above. i own all the consoles too. because I like games, consoles are needed also. but to only have consoles? especially if you were gaming in 2004 and on? you don't like gaming that much lol

Well this turned out to be funny. I wonder how many people who tore into that GameSpot reviewer will actually agree that the game isn't all that hot now...from what I've played I would score it even lower.

Once I stopped tinkering with the game to get it to play decently with RT, I actually started going through the story, exploring night city, checking out the gameplay systems and so far it's really boring to go through, I don't even have the desire to launch the game and continue 😑

Gamespot has been surprisingly spot on with their reviews. They catch a lot of flak from the fanboys, but they do a good job of cutting through the hype and rating a game on its own merits.

I would agree, but the chick who reviewed it from Gamespot admitted she didn't even play through it that much lol

How did you feel about the witcher 3?

And how far did you get?

And what game do you find better right now, reccomend one that shits on this game

She did. She just didn't interact with some of the systems and now I know why

I thought she didn't like RPGs. Turns out its just because this is a bad RPG

But you like skyrim and felt its a better rpg than the witcher 3.Your credibility is shot. You cabt even tell when games level with you. So why should we valuebanything you have to
say?

You think an rpg is just about creating your character and breaking into houses like i did when i was 12.

You proved where you stand when you said skyrim was a better rpg than the witcher 3 lol

It is a better RPG. Witcher is a better story driven game

Skyrim is a better RPG than Witcher 3 though. There’s actual character building and an interesting world to explore outside of the main quest. It’s why it’s played by more people every day 9 years after it launched.
