My exposure to KH YouTube shenanigans is pretty much people spamming me links to BlueNocturne and Nanashima's stuff. I generally avoid the fandom because of the... weirder elements

Anyway, the weirder elements are the best part of the fanbase lol, I will never forget the weird guy who had a terrible Sora wig and made singing videos to Utada Hikaru's stuff, while using a Keyblade as a guitar.
Some of the most cringeworthy videos I've ever seen comes from those days lol.
Also, does that mean you lost the mountains of videos of people editing unfunny lines from comedy shows into scenes of KH?
I still am. I've had everything from people asking what my favorite color and animal is to draw anthromorphic Falk, to staged Skype chatlogs (like, where two people pretended to be two others I've worked with) talking about me, to people honest-to-God singing over music I wrote.
It's utterly bizarre.

The only thing I know about the Sonic fanbase is that you have to go into either Google or DeviantArt and then type [Your name]+The Hedgehog, and you'll see an OC character someone made with the same name as you lol.
I also know about the religious drawings, but I never understood those =P

If Sora can basically revive people based on everyone residing within his heart at some point in time, does this extend to other characters? Like is it a reasonable expectation that Xehanort will be reborn again because he exists within Riku's or something? Or will Sora forgive Xehanort at the end, putting him inside his heart, setting up his inevitable return in KH4?

The Sonic fanbase isn't all bad. It actually has a great amount of people who are kind and not totally bizarre or spend their time trying to perfect their OCs. That painful part of it as just been the most vocal and Sonic has become kind of a joke lately, so everyone thinks they're funny by making "Gotta go fast" jokes.
Anyways, KH's plot kind of is all over the place, but I think I like it that way. It's fun to try to piece it together and to share thoughts and ideas with other fans.

It was never stated outright, but the fact that "dream travel" and "time travel" were introduced in the same game always strongly suggested to me that the people fetched during time travel were simply pilfered from the dream world and brought into the real world. So I suppose any KH villain could come back that way.

We've just established that the game includes alternate timelines, worlds inside of memories, hearts inside of hearts. I was then linked a 42 page word document to explain the story.
