Jeez, you really blew through this.
When I get excited about something and I have a day or two off to focus on it, I pretty much pour myself into it.
Your report card progress carries over when you choose to redo a chapter. Or you can do it in the extra mode you unlock after clearing the game. It's completely impossible to complete everyone's report cards in a single playthrough.

I always thought Celeste's accent sounded a bit inconsistent, but maybe it was my imagination. Her breakdown during the trial is amaaazing. Credit to the voice actress.

Have other people who ordered the limited edition from NISA gotten shipping notifications yet? I got one email saying they accepted payment and then nothing after and I'm getting worried.

If you're asking that it means that you're already considering to chose the english dub if it's good enough, so try that, the general consensus is that it's pretty good.
The japanese voices are amazing, though.

The Corpse Party games certainly didn't have a problem showing underaged high school (even elementary school) kids in pools of their own blood.
Can't wait for the next one.
I know, right? Games like this, I want to stretch out the enjoyment I get by playing in short bursts, but I want to keep playing soooo baaaddd. I haven't even reached the first trial yet.

Japanese voices are amazing, and the English dub is okay.

*shrug* I have no idea how Japanese ratings work other than decapitation = instant Z iirc. It may have been an unnecessary precaution, but I'm pretty sure I read that the ratings are the reason for the blood color.

You could make the argument that Corpse Party is more niche, so the developers could get away with more. I mean, it was originally a doujin game and there are no limitations when it comes to those.

I've been following this game from a distance (the hey-this-looks-cool-I'll-buy-it-to-get-more-games-like-this type) and I'm wondering about 2 things: how much does this game screw with your mind compared to 999/VLR and how long does it take to complete?

I'd like to say there's more grounded concepts going on compared to 999/VLR, but I guess that depends on who you ask. There are definitely a ton of mindfucks and twists though.
It's like 20 hours or so.

I like it so far, but I expected 100% VA coming off of VLR. It's also kinda inconsistent with letting you touch control a lot of things but not others.
I also think it's funny that so many of these VN's have wacky animal puppetmasters and games of death. I don't know the timing of when this or Sweet Fuse came out versus VLR, but it feels like someone's ripping somebody else off! Ha.

I should just do my go to move of spoiling the story for myself so the emotional punch isn't as bad; then I can focus!
I know someone asked if I could post my end thoughts on each chapter; I'll gladly do so if people want it. Don't wanna take over the thread with my mind falling all over the place
