Dark Souls 3 Pre-Load on Steam is online

This is probably the best deal, yeah. I mean, at least it's the one my friend (who takes absurd joy in saving a € or two on a game despite being able to easily afford it) settled on after unnecessarily in-depth research :P

Hey it's me, your friend.

Got it on CDkeys for 37€ with the 5% code. It's the first time I use them. They are legit right?

Depends on your definition of legit. If by legit you mean if the key will work yes they are legt. If by legit you mean authorized by the publisher no they are not.

Tomorrow or Monday

Well hopefully we get it tonight. When I check my order history though, the preorder isn't there anymore. I still have the email and order number. But that is a bit worrying.

Probably by tomorrow evening. I'm waiting on one, too.
You'll get an email.

Also I keep confusing you for Nibel.

My avatar is completely different to Nibel's...I am unique!

Anyone selling DS3 Steam keys at a discount? Think my i7-4790k / GTX 770 4GB / 16GB RAM will allow me to get 1080p/60fps with some settings turned down, hopefully.

Nuuvem has the regular edition for like $45. Now, supposedly it isn't region locked yet (I didn't need to use a VPN for buy it and I activated the key on Steam without any problem). Dunno if the same could be applied to a country like US or European countries.

It gets funny when both of you post in one thread, one after another :D

Hmmm then how do they get their keys? Those prices seem a bit to good to be true tbh. If it turns out they get their keys illegally or something I won't buy there again.

So buying DS3 from Gameplanet whilst in the US is fine, right?

They get their keys from retail copies taking advantage of regional pricing. Authorized resellers like gamesplanet get them directly from the publisher (hence you can preload already) and in case of DS3 I only paid around 3€ more.

They buy in bulk from countries where games are cheaper, nothing dodgy about them. I've used them for years without issue, although in this case Gamesplanet are cheaper and an official reseller so I'm not sure why anyone would buy from anywhere else.

By and large, when someone says a store isn't "legit", they mean that the keys being sold aren't obtained directly from the publisher, not that they (the keys) were obtained fraudulently. This is an important detail to note as no publisher condones the reselling of retail keys, so if someone happened to wake up one day to find that their copy was revoked, their only recourse would be to seek a replacement/refund from the reseller -- the service provider wouldn't help as the game was purchased from a third party and the publisher wouldn't help as the game was purchased from a store with which it is not affiliated. My point is that key reselling is an inherently shady practice, but, yes, this doesn't mean all resellers are made equal -- some are safe (or rather, as safe as can possibly be given the reality of the business), others not so much (e.g. G2 Play was caught red handed selling stolen keys, although this was before the Kinguin acquisition).

I ended up canceling my GMG preorder and ordering it from Gamesplanet instead. I saved a little bit of money and got to preload already, to boot.

The countdown right above you is for the global release time. It releases everywhere (except japan I guess) at the same time.

God damn!

Always this GAF Hype!

All I wanted to do ist first play through DS1 and now I bought DS3 for 45€.
DS3 will still have to wait though, I want to play through DS1 first and I just reached blighttown.

According to this? Maybe?

As for deals, currently Gamesplanet is probably best

Regular ends up be ~$43, Deluxe ~$66

Great deal, got the Deluxe edition for the same price as the standard one would've cost.

Did anyone redeem the Namco VIP points you got from Gamesplanet? Is it worth the effort?

They usually send on day of release, have never been able to pre load with them.

I was told by a CDkeys employee that they typically give out preorder keys 24-48 hours before the release date. I hope that wasn't BS. :/ It's my first time using CDkeys, I was forced to go with them because Scamco overpriced the game like crazy where I live for some strange reason, and I'd heard bad things about GamesPlanet.

I received my cdkeys key for Fallout 4 two days prior to the release date.

For people wondering when CDKeys is sending theirs, Novum asked them few pages back.
Hopefully they send them early Monday so that I have time to preload this on my SSD.

Got info from CDKeys:

I received mine instantly after payment it was in my library and then I redeemed it on Steam.

Just was about to edit my post, they have all the relevant information right on the store page.

NOTICE

Preload is available! Activate your Steam key now to start downloading the game and be ready to play on release day.

Pre-order your DARK SOULS III Steam key now on Gamesplanet.com and receive the official digital soundtrack with your purchase as a pre-order bonus.

This game is region locked and can't be activated from Japan & North Korea.

They also have a great FAQ. They take Bitcoin and Paypal, this is a great site.

Is this service legal?

Our service is legal - all of our keys come directly from the Publisher. A portion of the money that you pay for the games (not to mention the lion's share) will go to the Publisher. All the games we sell are with their express permission. With us you never have to use proxy servers to activate your game, and will never get presents from Russia or Steam gifts - and therefore you don't need to worry that your key will be blocked.

Can I buy from outside of Europe at Gamesplanet?

Yes, you can order our products from wherever you are in the world. The Internet has no borders for Games(planet).
If you want to know if a game has any region restrictions, you can find that out in the box with the orange border on the game's page. If there is no box, there are no restrictions. But feel free to ask us anyway - we can confirm region restrictions for each game at our website.

Do I need VPN for activation?

No - certainly not! You will never find a game at Gamesplanet needing VPN for activation or playing. Our keys come directly and are licensed from the publisher, they are not restricted to dedicated Countries. We double check every new game before selling it to our customers - otherwise we would not sell it.

Some pretty good offers, hopefully they don't expire as soon the game comes out.

I need to try it to see if my PC runs it, otherwise I'm gonna go with the PS4 version. :/

Well, game bought and pre-loaded. I'm more than ready.

I feel horribly teased by Steam because the game appears in the "Play" area but clicking that won't do anything. Just the awful window stating it's not out yet...

My only concern is that the game may be too much for my PC. It's getting old and thanks to all these low spec Japanese ports I never bothered to upgrade any components. Ah, well, I can tolerate some dips here and there, I'm not too picky.

I have been avoiding YouTube, GAF, hidding tweets, you name it, I'm going full blind and full media blackout on this and it hasn't been easy at all!!

I'm still waiting on my GMG key which I got for a rather low price. I think it's too late to get a refund from them and switch to Gamesplanet.

I'm not sure, but native DS4 support is rare unfortunately.

Actually I am quite surprised what games had it. Mostly triple A games though. Mad Max, Arkham Knight, AC:Syndicate, The Witcher 3, The Division have it.

But this is From Software. Durante, don't you have a Dual Shock 4 to check it ?
