I would go PC, personally. The better experience is worth the extra money. It's likely you'll regret not having gone PC when you run into frame rate issues, or if the 900p resolution on the Bone bothers you constantly. Also, the community on Xbox will be much smaller than PC if you're into the multiplayer.
Hoping Simply Games dispatch my PS4 copy tomorrow in time for the weekend (they've done this before for other Tuesday releases). Bamco has pissed me off with this release bollocks. I kind of get pushing it into the next fiscal where FROM wanted their own Japan release for the current (now previous) fiscal, but why an additional two week delay on that ... and then to rub salt in the wound by giving the game to any old streamer and his grandma.
There's a Dota 2 streamer I used to watch who plays that game 99% of the time but occasionally plays others. He got an early copy. I don't get why.
Like others in this thread are saying, it feels like everyone else has played it through several times and the rest of us are just LttP.

Strength build + fat roll...
I always try to kill the dogs first but the demon needs two hits (at most) to kill me so it's more luck than anything else (imo) because of the small area. It's so easy to get stuck, lol.

Try mid rolling instead of fat rolling.
Capra is one of my all time favorite bosses. There's a bunch of strategies that work great against it, but fat rolling is not one of them unless you have a very high stability 100% phys def shield.

use an elemental buff item (gold or charcoal pine resin), fastroll, kill dogs first, win

One week here. My daughter is getting a bit sick, though. She has 4 days to recover or I won't even get the chance to tauch the game, haha. She is the one thing I don't feel bad to prioritize, of course.

Yeah, wondering the same thing. BB was much better than Dark Souls - for me. The swagger and satisfying combat made me finish it.

If this was similar to the EU edition which came with everything in the Collectors edition, I would have bought it. Nonetheless just the statue? Pass I rather spend my money on a more legit statue from Gecco.

Lightning did need a nerf in DS2, they just went overboard. I remember I was able to facemelt Darklurker with like 4 or 5 Great Lightning bolts and the whole fight was over in less than 20 seconds. Definitely OP. However, what is has become now is something worthless and makes the time they spend developing it a waste. Hopefully they can strike a balance because I love using a bit of miracles to supplement a melee build.

I'm almost certain I will like DS3 over Bloodborne strictly because I can play it at 60fps.

Yeah I was considering canceling my collector's edition and talking myself into buying this, and then I realized it was statue only. I just assumed it had everything because of the price. At least I didn't go through with it. I hope no one is mislead into ordering this.

Yeah the Steam store page for DS3 now says "This game will unlock in approximately 2 days and 20 hours", at the time of this post. Should be around 6PM EST.
Yep. The patch that came out today just fixed the few areas that had issues.
A warning about the soundtrack:
While of course the soundtrack titles tell you a lot of boss names, there's one title in particular that is a spoiler and
of the others have musical motifs you will recognize from a previous game, so if you are spoiler averse I recommend holding off on looking at the track list and not listening to the soundtrack as a whole until you're done with the game.

Just beat Dark Souls II on PS4, the 60fps was fantastic but I can alternate with no problems at all. I still thought Bloodborne was a visually superior experience to that because of its art design, despite the 30fps and frame pacing. I'd love it if Dark Souls III were 60fps on PS4 and truth be told I'm not honestly sure what's holding that back from happening-- the game has good visuals but not something ridiculous that should be difficult to achieve at 60fps on the hardware-- but once I start playing it I'll forget about it.
DSII even had plenty of frame drops on PS4, especially in Dragon Aerie. Like, damn. I'll admit that I don't have the technical knowledge to understand it so maybe I shouldn't be saying this stuff, but it just seems like to me the PS4 should be able to handle stuff like Bloodborne and Dark Souls at 60fps. Now, Uncharted 4, I can see why that'd be 30.
