Question.
How do you kill/move/awake/something the dragon/criature/something in the end of the bridge of the
Painting World
?
Get close to it and it'll wake up. Then kill it. Easiest option is to just get back to shelter and snipe it with spells or arrows.

If you're referring the thing afterwards, jump fierce, er towards+R2/RT to stand up and then go through.

No, not the poison dragon or whatever it is called the one that spits something purple. I mean after that one, there's something (that I think is a dragon) but it doesn't move no matter how much I attack it.

I just towards him and he awoke, then I ran back towards the castle. The little broken wall on the right stairs shielded me from his poison attacks. I used that to block attacks and then run in and hit/throw spells.

Ricard's Rapier a good weapon to give magic damage to [upgrade path to scale with INT] for my sorcerer? Heading off to Sens Fortress just now and I'm still using a Bandit Knife.

I bumped my intelligence up to 50 just now, and wow, the crystal spells are absolutely devastating. Tried battling the Anor Londo boss in NG++, and the Homing Crystal Soulmass shredded the boss. Didn't know you get one extra crystal when bumping up your intelligence.

Another question.
I'm retarded but... what I'm supposed to do now with this dragon thing?
I awakened it, but... I can't kill it. I can't talk to it, I can't... nothing.

It's a glitch, man. It's supposed to be the legs of the dragon; however, now that it's standing up, you have a shortcut open.

You do nothing with it, really. It exists there as a bug.

Surprised you have been using it that much, since it sucks. Go for the Elite Knight set/helmet, much better when upgraded.

how are you having enough bits to upgrade armour? I'm nearly done and I barely have enough to upgrade a few weapons.

He does appear Zeus-like in a way which might lend to the impression of him being fallible like his ancient Greek counterpart (that and he hurls lightning). The tone of the music that plays during the battle refutes in a sense. If the designers intended for the battle to feel like you were taking down 'big bad dude™' something loud and bombastic would have played. The game has a habit of telling you when it is that you should feel bad about fighting someone. Gwyndolin and Priscilla in particular.

None of the bosses made me feel bad with the exception of Sif. :\

It works the both way until a max of 5, I think, unless someone knows if you get more past 50.

Look at Homing Soulmass; when you learn it and can meet the minimum req for INT, you generate 2. :)

So. Apparently
Four Kings
respond well to magic. But I developed a high strength melee build and it's too late for me in that regard. Would building a Magic weapon have the same effect? And since I need to build a Magic weapon anyway to get the trophy for it what's the best weapon to do that with?

4 kings
respond well to magic in the sense that most times people are using powerful magic on them, they have a good catalyst and high INT.

If you have melee, your best bet is to tank the hell out of them... I did this in my first game, as my character only had about 24 (at best) INT at that time and nothing was really doing a lot of damage. The 2 handed lightning spear while wearing stone armor (stolen from the speed run) was more than enough to wreck them.

As far as your magic weapon question, yes it adds magic damage, but the main benefits of magic and enchanted are that they scale with INT -- so if you don't have a high INT, the weapons are probably going to be weak when you use them.

With that said, one of the best things you can do with ANY weapon upgrade is to do the upgrades on a weapon for which your character is suited to using and you like the moveset for. This is why I have a lightning iaito+4 in addition to my lightning spear+5.

i'm in the process of making a 'faith' build.

anyone know what the best miracles are? are there any that are particularly good against bosses?

so far i've been playing the character pretty much as a pure melee faith build using 'divine' weapons. haven't tried out any miracles yet.

I don't even know why I came to this place... I should've asked before.

Another question.
I killed
the convenant pornstar
and it triggered "a lot" of events, one of them was
that in the Darkmoon Tomb, there was Gwyndolin as a boss fight
I killed her too. My question is, how does it affect the rest of my gameplay?

I understand they need her to for gameplay reasons, but why does Quelaag
attack you as soon as you enter her arena? As far as I can tell, there's no justification for it, as the Fair Lady implies that, despite their appearances, those two daughters still have their minds. Why would Quelaag not want you to ring the bell?

Maybe she doesn't want
her sister to save any undead human anymore as she is already fatally ill. She ordered her sister not to do this, but she did it anyways. So she took one step further and just guards the door and kill whatever trying to reach her sister?

You can't join the Darkmoon or Princess Covenants. When in Anor Londo, the city will now appear dark and you can be invaded by people using the Darkmoon Covenant Ring. Most of the Anor Londo enemies disappear. The Anor Londo bonfire keeper becomes hostile.

I think that's everything.

The only really great Miracle is Wrath of the Gods (Purchased from
Rhea after freeing her from the Tomb
). It casts really fast and is a point-blank area of effect spell. Besides that ... not much to really care about unless you want to be using Tranquil Walk of Peace (Found in the Catacombs). The Sunbro Covenant ones aren't terrible, I suppose, but I never really used them.

Edit: Force, Emit Force have their uses; Sunlight Blade can get you some good numbers too but I'm not sure how well it fares with low STR/DEX on a +15 Weapon with high Faith.

If you're going for low STR/DEX (i.e., just the requirements for your weapon of choice) then Occult is a better option for a weapon. The Ember for that is in the
Painted World
and the Chunks/Slabs for it can be found in the Tomb both as loot and drops from the
Pinwheel Servants
.

Oh man, I didn't even THINK about that, yeah Lloyds Talisman or something... It had practically no use in PvE so I didn't even remember it existed. God, I'm terrible at PvP... but only 2 more Souvenirs to go!

Anyone who's compared.

How do Enchanted weapons stack up to Occult/Divine weapons? From my experience Occult weapons SUCK, and divine weapons aren't much better. Is Enchanted pretty much the same?

My next character is going to be some kind of mage, still haven't decided exactly but I want something pretty unique so I'm weighing all options.

okay thanks u guys. i'll look into those miracles mentioned.

i have kind of a fucked faith build i think. i have put 32 points into strength so i could use the GreatAxe (Divine). i really like its power and its fairly fast for a big weapon.

i don't have enough points into faith tho ...only around 22 at the moment, and i have around 30 in endurance and 28 in vitality.

it probably wont realize its potential until new game + at least.

It just seems like the miracles were designed for pvp as opposed to pve. Heck a couple of the miracles are effect your entire party. The lightning spells don't do that much damage and the slow start up is huge drawback. I think Wrath of God was the only miracle really worth using in the campaign.

I found the enchanted weapons to be fine. They aggregate damage isn't very high, but so much of it is concentrated in magic damage and the net result is pretty good outside of the crystal enemies.

I realized this after I posted. I have super low INT so will forget that. I guess I'll just boost my poise, use the iron armor spell and whack away.

I was under the impression Ricard's came from Sens? Or do you mean shortly afterwards?

Wait, what? You don't know where you got a sword you have? I was thinking the one in Sen's was Velka's since you already have Ricard but I guess maybe you got the one in Sen's before you went to Sen's? I dunno, man.

Edit: Oh wait. Maybe you meant you were anticipating getting that sword in Sen's? Well, then yeah if you want to use a Rapier, that's the best I've found so I'd go for it. I'm a fan of the rapiers myself.

My Enchanted +5 great scythe has A scaling with Int, unlike Occult which only goes up to B. Other than that they're both pretty similar.

Enchanted scales better than Occult. Occult's primary perk is the unique damage type.

ya that's kind of the impression i was getting. seemed to benefit pvp more so.

kind of disappointed in that ...since i'm just coming off making a 'battle mage' that rips bosses apart with homing crystal soulmass, etc.

Velka's is in the Painted World.

Can someone explain to me why some pyromancy have super high use numbers? Like the Chaos Whip is 80 but depletes by like 20 each use. If I can only cast it 4 times than why not just put that it has 4 uses? Is there something I'm missing?

Can someone fill me in on how spell slots work.
I already have 1 slot with 10 ATT, do I need to put another 10 points into ATT to obtain a second slot? Hardly worth the effort if that's the case as im a Pryo.

My firelink shrine is out. I guess someone killed the firekeeper? I got an item that allows me to invade and kill the person that murdered the firekeeper. Could someone give me a brief idea of how this all works? Is it another player that I would be invading? I couldn't actually use the item in the game when I added it to my inventory. Maybe I have to be in the right area?

If you are interrupted before the full effect is in motion, you lose less charges. That is it.

I'm trying to be spoiler free about the whole thing, but just in case...
When you're in the right area, you'll get a message indicating you can use it. It will be an NPC. I have to warn you though, as a lot of people make this mistake - after the event, do not upgrade your Estus Flask until you go back to Firelink.

It is a scripted event, which happens after ringing the second bell. Then, you will have to clean:

1) Sen's Fortress (behind the first blacksmith)
2) Get to Anor Londo from there, and before the Anor Londo bossfight, in the room with the two giant statues, the Eye will resonate. You can then try invading any time. Beward, no estus flask will be used by you, and there is one + 2 mobs. Once you win, you get a fire keeper soul back.

DO NOT use that Fire Keeper Soul for your own purposes. Go back to the shrine and go there to where the Fire Keeper was, that is important. Otherwise, you lose the Fire Keeper for that playthrough.

Also, what you are looking at is 4-5 hours of progress before you see Firelink Shrine's fire again. Do not worry, you will get there.

Where could I find the light-emanating helm in Izalith? I went in and defeated the boss already, never found it.

Expanding the post a bit:
I know I rescued Logan in Sens Fortress, never found him in the archives.
