i always thought watchmen was untouchable (even those before watchmen comics left a bad taste in my mouth). this just seems kinda grotesque but hey if its good its good
Or maybe because I'm just tickled pink at the idea of Geoff Johns actually taking the notion that "Watchmen made comics all shitty and grimdark" and is taking all the meta out of that statement. Because that's kind of hillarious to me.
Sure I did. I listed Wonder Woman. It's just easier to list the two that are good.I am sorry what. How can you say you read a lot of them then start with "save wonder woman"
You didn't even list the best rebirth books.
Just Green Arrow Rebirth these daysDo you read DC comics?
It's almost like time passes and things change and shit...who would have thought???It's not that he would hate it that way, it's more like "They fucking stopped me from using DC Universe characters in my story...and now they want my characters to be part of DC Universe!?"

then you sleeping.Just Green Arrow Rebirth these days
So I just looked up The Button, and apparently Tom King is writing Batman?
Is it as absurdly good as his run on Vision?
He lost all rights to complain about this when Mr. Hyde raped the Invisible Man to death.
Lies and slander!wonder woman is not even top 5.

It's better than Vision. So I just looked up The Button, and apparently Tom King is writing Batman?

I love that Johns and DiDio can all but admit that the Rebirth #1 reveal was done purely for headline-grabbing shock value and that they didn't have an actual story idea for it until much later, and yet people will still defend this shit.

What are you even talking about? It was announced as a two year saga from the get go and Geoff was always going to write the main story but he was occupied with his film and tv writing. Do some actual research before you start complaining about how this was a publicity scam.
There's so much good stuff coming out of Image right now, so it's not all bad. Lot of great 5-issue mini series too, so you ain't stuck wondering if it'll ever end.American comics.
Nothing ever ends.
Decade after decade of finding excuses for continuity.
It's a character study, not a plot book.Nope. It ranges from bad to mediocre. Super repetitive. Almost no plot advancement after 20+ issues.
It's not that he would hate it that way, it's more like "They fucking stopped me from using DC Universe characters in my story...and now they want my characters to be part of DC Universe!?"
Geoff Johns has got to be one of the most overrated writers I've encountered.

Is there anywhere that you can catch up on this plot so far or has it been scattered throughout a bunch of different books?
It's a character study, not a plot book.
You're being really reductive, which really isn't a great foundation for a conversation. It's neither, unless you consider paper thin motivation and rehashed Bat Angst a character study.
I do dig the constant repetition of dialogue in attempt to add gravitas...to add gravitas...to add gravitas.
Naruto says hi.
Bitch to be you right now.
I don't really follow Naruto but the sequel is about the new generation and the older generation aging right? It's seems different from what DC and Marvel is doing. Most Japanese manga series tend not to reboot or operate in a sliding timeline too.Naruto says hi.

"Leave Watchmen alone"
"Typical Big Two crossover"
"Manga is better"
"Go indie."
Every Comic Book announcement thread.
First one is valid, though. Maybe leave them alone?

Eh, even if Before Watchmen was bad, if somebody can think of a good story that actually makes good use of the characters, there's no reason they should be forever off limits.First one is valid, though. Maybe leave them alone?
Ayyy
Seriously, how did no one else bring up Before Watchmen?
