I watched it this afternoon. It's definitely an improvement. They really didn't leave Clark with much at all in the theatrical cut. Cavill must have felt a bit aggrieved.

Just managed to watch BvS Ultimate Cut and it's made me do a 180 on BvS.
I'm furious.
I originally thought the theatrical cut was great, albeit difficult to follow and with some extraneous scenes that didn't really add anything at all, and the laughable cameo segment.
After watching the Ultimate Cut, christ. They cut every part of the movie that made it make sense properly. The woman bribed by Lex to lie, the bomb being lined with lead to prevent Supes hearing it. The part that pisses me off though is they cut all the cohesive elements and left in shit like the Knightmare sequence. That is the shit you put in the directors cut for the nerds who understand whats happening to spend more money on your movie. Whoever had final say in what got cut for the theatrical cut needs a smack.
