I hate that developers keep trying to make toy games of the superheroes. When can someone be serious and make games like Marvel Avengers or Batman or MK11? Same with Star Wars. I'm tired of Lego/Toy crap.

I think games with aesthetics clearly aimed at kids have an easier time reaching sales goals because they wouldn't be sensitive to simple gameplay. It's also probably cheaper to develop something like this in comparison with a game with fully detailed textures and environments.
Basically it's a low risk approach.
I don't think Gotham Knights is going to do very good sales wise so it's not a positive outlook for DC super hero games.
At least Marvel has Spider Man 2 coming up...

On one hand, it's by Outright Games (and developed by PHL Collective, who made some Ben 10 games and something called Addams Family Mansion Mayhem,) and Outright only makes bargain-bin games. So, unintentionally, we all got tricked to click, and this game will probably be yuck.
On the other hand, it's for kids! Calm the heck down with your "where are the superhero games for me, a grown-ass man?!" Not every game is made for you big boys, and by the way, it's okay if you enjoy a kids game once in a while, you can still go drive a car and drink a beer and and do adult things even after playing a videogame that's not dark and violent and aggro and tough...
