I am loving that they're using movie Wonder Woman's costume and colors. It really holds up, especially the boots.

I'm so happy that trash 52 combo of silver and blue boots is going away. So stupid of them to remove golden-yellow from Wonder Woman, which was stupid since it's part of her WW-logo in the first place.

Really? What's the name of the arc or the number's? I'm interested in reading it but I don't follow comics too closely. I remember liking the character and finding out he got killed seemed like a dumb thing to do. So your help is much appreciated.

I would suggest reading the entire Tomasi/Gleason run starting at Batman and Robin #0 and ending at #40.

If you just want to know what happens between his death and leading to his resurrection, then read from 17 or 18 up through 40.

It is pretty great.

And mostly self-contained.

One cute gag about the series is that between issue 19 - 32, it is named Batman & [Insert character here]

Thanks MartyStu. Will check them out.

You'll want Tomasi's whole Batman & Robin run, because the whole thing is great, but for just the little bit:

Chinese Superman tho. Anyone gonna make a thread?

I'm working on an OT for the whole shebang, but if anybody wants to, go nuts.

Red Hood and the Outlaws by writer Scott Lobdell with artist Dexter Soy, launching in August and shipping monthly. "Red Hood decides to recruit two new outlaws to make a dark trinity: Bizarro and Artemis of the Amazons," Johns said.

Scott Lobdell is writing this?

Not touching that with a ten foot pole.

Skip.

"Were?"

Should be are, typing faster then I'm thinking.

lol

I'm trying to put together a one-stop source. What is Rebirth, what's the general outline of the changes, when is it starting, a list of creative teams.

Cool, I was going to suggest a suggested reading section. Super League by Tomasi runs into the Superman Status Quo, Abnetts current Aquaman and Titans Hunt are precursors to their rebirth sequels, and that Jurgens Lois and Clark book.

Well I may be alone in this but I think pretty much all of the new costumes are downgrades from what we had in the New 52.

Glad to see Supergirl is getting her own book back again though.

Guessing new 52 Superman and Clark white will be merged somehow? There really isn't any room for two (I guess American) Supermen in a universe.

Maybe we're looking at a COIE style situation, without eliminating the infinite earths.

I really love how Green Arrow looks in Rebirth

But I liked the collar since it made it the whole suit look like a uniform and not a costume.

Which is funny because it's why I didn't like it, haha. Made him look too authorative. Also, I hated that they streamlined all the Justice League costume during the nu52 relaunch. Superman, Green Lantern, Flash, Aquaman all lost a bit of their uniqueness as their costumes were intentionally drawn similarly.

Haha, they really just adapted a bunch of film and TV designs. Not that I'm complaining. Better than that over-designed nonsense that they peddled five years ago.

Yeah. But it;s not just the costume. But also the art style. The longer body, sharp clean shapes, slender face etc. Both of the new artists stick to more of less same aproach and it makes the whole look just work really damn well.

The same costume wouldn't look anywhere near as nice in more round and less clean art styles.

I'm glad Gene Yang is staying, hopefully he gets less editorial oversight compared to his Superman run, which was plagued by cross overs. I've always wanted more heroes based in foreign countries, I like the great ten.

Yeah, his Superman run got strangled by editors and crossovers. Hopefully having his own book will fare better.

Looking over the line-up, I was DC had been able to bring in a couple of better writers but they did re-stock the art side well. Getting back Phil Jimenez, Nicola Scott, Albuquerque, Marcus To, and Phil Briones (if he'll actually turn in pages) are some nice wins.

The first several issues Yeung wrote before the crossover storm hit were pretty bad. But they were also the first superhero comics he'd ever done, and he was under a ton of pressure as Johns' replacement. Gene is obviously a sharp guy so I'm to glad to see him get a second chance.

can't believe they haven't given that Baz guy a not so terrible costume yet. Ugh Lanterns are so terrible these days. Where the hell is Kyle? :(

Seems like there is quite a few interesting books that I'm going to have to look into. Nightwing! Titans and Super Sons are definite must reads for me.

The OT is UP: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?p=199307188#post199307188

Please be gentle with me, it's my first OT ;__;

Kyle's over in The Omega Men atm. He's getting the shit kicked out of him, but it's a pretty good read.

So awesome that wonder woman now seems to have the warrior skirt as her standard wear rather than panties. I know she wore variations of the skirt in the past but it's just good that they're merging the look from the film to the comics now too.

Also amazing that Greg Rucka is back for her now too. I hope he can reunite her with Ferdinand.
