So do we have a list if PC Players in the thread?
.Some of you might play the game and wonder why I gave it a 9/10. You might look at the faults that Ive outlined and declare that list is worth more than a one point deduction! However, look at it like this. I dont believe in a system where you have to deduct certain percentages of points per hang-up or fault you find in a game. For me its the overall experience while playing through that determines the final score. Yes, there were faults that I discovered throughout my experience with the game. However, every game has faults, and I viewed this through the lens of a gamer. Did I enjoy this game? Absolutely. Did it scare the crap out of me at times? 100%. Was there a real feeling of survival horror (as opposed to just jumping-scares) that has been sadly lacking from other contemporary zombie games? You bet. So looking at the total package that was brought to the table here, this game is too fun to play and too unique an experience to be really nit-picky on the things that didnt go exactly as Id rather them go. As I write these final thoughts, there is only one review out there on the web, and if the rest of the press agrees with that reviewers thoughts, my review will likely be one of the higher-scoring ones out there. Thats fine though; I truly stand behind this score. Hopefully you will pick this game up and experience one of the most engaging experiences Ive had with my 360 in quite some time. This is a game that needs to be in a gamers collection, so try to make it happen if you can, guys.

I don't have a console but I wouldn't consider this a "rental" type of game due to the co-op and replayability. You'll easily spend tens of hours in this if you enjoy the game and the co-op and skill trees will definitely give you some replay value. I believe there's also an arena horde mode. Rentals for me would be like Bulletstorm and other games with short campaigns and no good online component.ironcreed said:Damn it! I was going to Gamefly this, but reading these types of comments is really pushing me to the brink here. You see, I can tell just from reading this that this individual thinks like I do when it comes to games. When a game simply provides an engaging and fun experience, I don't give a rat's ass about tech issues and little niggling flaws here and there. If it is fun, it's fun... bottom line. That is the distinct and clear impression that I am getting from Dead Island. In which case, it is looking more and more like a solid buy that I would enjoy replaying.

BattleMonkey said:To keep the game interesting and challenging? I prefer enemies to scale with me rather than have mobs of enemies who are challenging on in specific areas only.
It's the exact same as playing a table top rpg, you will constantly scale your game to your players level so that it keeps a challenge going, you don't just let them stomp on everyone and then choose when and where the challenge is.
"rpg mechanics" should not mean being able to grind to crush your opponents.
Yup. Great review.Heavy said:I liked the ending paragraph of the TeamXbox review:

edit 2: Oh my god...this review sounds not like a 6/10 ...more like a 3/10. I really don't know what the hell the reviewer was expecting from this title.

I bet it would hurt them bad. They're not exactly a well known publisher, and they've been marketing the hell out of this on all the big sites. Gamestop's gotten tons of ads, so has Joystiq, IGN, etc. I don't know what it's like in Europe, but their biggest game over here would be like... Oh, of all the games coming out this week. It'll win by a good bit, I'm sure. I say this as a huge Space Marine hyper. There hasn't been a 'big' co-op game in a while, there hasn't been a big L4D game in a while, and this will appeal to the COD Zombies crowd, the Dead Rising crowd, the Borderlands and the L4D crowd. Mainstream-wise at least.Concept17 said:I'm betting this sells really well.
