I have no idea how that happened.

Neuromancer said:No joke my friend. I did have some level of parental permission, also I monitored them closely to make sure they didn't start freaking out. They loved it and were talking about it long after we stopped playing. Of course I made sure to impress upon them zombies weren't real and it was all just pretend.

People following DR2 know that the PS3 version of the game hasn't really been looking up to snuff...
In this video the PS3 version looks good, but now the 360 version looks bland? :lol
What the hell is going on?
What version do I buy?

Something tells me the publishers make out like bandits on this stuff.Krauser Kat said:Also i wonder how much the profit margin is on premium packages. does the extra 20 bucks add 10 dollars of profit? We have a hard time nailing down how much devs make on 60 dollar games as it is.
It cost about 3$ for them to make the Zombrex one. So yeah its like +17$ in profitKrauser Kat said:wait so if i want to play game in a superior fasgion i dont get all this cool stuff.

Yeah, its more than 3$ but its still a good profit. But really? 3 collector edition, one without any art book or making of ? its somewhat weird...Icarus said:*cough* you forgot the retailer margin *cough*
Retail takes about $5 out of that additional 20.
They've got to pack about $20 in value to the consumer (or perceived value) in costs that are about $8-10 + the $5 retail margin. If I recall, steelbook cases alone are a couple dollars in costs, so it's significantly more than $3.
They're making a little more per unit than the regular edition, but as a margin percentage, probably around the same as the regular.

do you think that it matters whether I download the game or buy the disc? It's both game for windows.
brain_stew said:I'm sure there'll be plenty GAFers playing the PC version. With the crappy performance and ugly visuals of Case Zero and the lower price, the PC version definitely seems to be the way to go if you have a decent enough rig. Its GFWL so it'll have matchmaking as well.
I'd still like to see a demo or benchmark first but I think I'm sold, cash permitting.

How could you possibly tell which was which from that video? I couldn't see any indicators as to which version was being played outside of the parts that featured 360 button prompts. As far as we know all that footage may be just from the 360 one.
I'm not saying one is better or anything like that, I just don't know how anyone could make any kind of comparison from that particular video.
Don't tell me that DR2 will be sporting the same visuals as Case Ø?Deepack said:New video preview for DR2 @ Gametrailers:

Blue castle have mentioned that the full game will look better.Jeff Stephen said:Don't tell me that DR2 will be sporting the same visuals as Case Ø?
Given that CØ was treated as an XBLA, I just assumed Capcom had to get it down to a reasonable file size for download.
Deepack said:Blue castle have mentioned that the full game will look better.
And yes, I looked at the on screen button prompts to tell the difference.

I've got some avatars, but I don't feel like doing the OT. Too much work, too little time.KibblesBits said:I think that Blue Castle has had a number of different builds submitted and I'm still thinking we haven't seen the newest build. Case in point:
It seems like they've showed off at least three different builds for the HD twins... I'm wondering just how much they have.
That said, who is making the official thread?

Not to play oneupsmanship or anything, but I'll pay 15 bucks for one of those t-shirts to anyone who picks one up and is willing to ship in the US PM me!Neuromancer said:

Was there ever any doubt? He is Frank West after all.Vyse The Legend said:According to Kotaku, Frank West is confirmed to be in Dead Rising 2. There's a blurry picture of him and Chuck ffighting zombies together on the viral marketing site.
Question is: playable or not?
Yes, it would not be Dead Rising without it.Alucrid said:Quick question, does this demo have a time limit in it? Not like a demo demo time limit but a time limit like the one in DR1.

It has to do with the capture method of the videos. Ps3 version has more contrast and color cause it seems more direct-feed than the 360 videos which has a bit more washed out colors.Deepack said:New video preview for DR2 @ Gametrailers:

Yeah sounds like this game is not for you then, what with the sense of urgency and all.Ricker said:Because everything is on a timer, even if you save at some points,it doesn;t really help you,in fact it can mess you over...so you need to restart an earlier save....at least there`s 3 save slots now,not like the...well let`s not get into that now about the first...
I just don`t like the gameplay of this game because of those things...can`t get use to them.
